"Hell yes," he said eagerly. "And yeah, I get that. I got a lot of ghoul friends--with a pause in between those words," he said quickly. For a moment his expression went distant, then he grinned crookedly and shrugged. "No ghoulfriend, or anything, though. I'm sort of a loser when it comes to that," he admitted almost cheerfully.
He looked at her for a moment. "You sing?" he asked curiously.

"I get that, too," Lark said slowly. Where Roch's voice had been almost cheerful, Larks was a little more... melancholy? Nah, couldn't have been. Was that some kind of sadness in her eyes? It was hard to tell. She rose to her feet and reached for the serving dishes that littered the table with a quickness, turning to carry them into the kitchen. When she turned back around there was a bright smile on her face.
"Me? Sing? I ain't lifted m'voice in song since I was but a lil carpet grub." She chuckled and grabbed the bread from the table, carrying that back into the kitchen as well. With a few deft motions she had enough food for two or three hearty lunches packed into a few various containers.
"Why d'ya ask?"

"I gotta karaoke booth," he said, grinning. "It's for my FEAR, actually, but hell, if you got a karaoke booth you gotta use it, right?" he declared. "Doesn't really matter if you can't sing. But if you don't wanna try it, you don't have to."
He looked at the food she was packing. "You know you don't gotta do that," he said with a little grin. "Not that I'm going to say no, or anything," he added quickly.

"Too right," Lark beamed, agreeing with his comment about using the booth. "Be a pity t'let somethin' that crash hot go t'waste." She slipped the containers into a crisply folded paper bag and set it on the table for him to take.
"Would love t'try it, Roch! If yer sure it's not gonna be too much trouble." Lark smiled and nudged the bag a little closer to him. "I ain't gonna apologize fer bein' outta tune, neither, just so you know." She waggled a finger at him. "You asked fer it."
Lark was feeling pretty thankful for having met Roch. Sometimes she found herself in a dark place, and she would need good friends like him to help her out.
"Mind if Ben tags along?"

"Not at all," Roch said. "I got a pair of earplugs the other day for just such an occasion," he teased as he grabbed the bag. "Call me when you want to do it," he added, rattling off his number. "And my groanspring is RochEScythe, if you've got that, too. And... thanks," he said, lifting the bag. "I really appreciate it."
Then he was gone with a wave over his shoulder, closing the door softly behind him.
