[Nothing much has happened, Lea. Darkheart and Minnowstream are friends, and your medicine cat apprentice is still training with Echosong. That's about it as far as summaries have gone. Things have been rather slow of late.]
Minnowstream laid the last of her prey on the pile, sad to see Darkheart go so soon. "Why not rest and have some prey first? I'm sure Pharaostar would understand." She wished she could spend more time with her friend.

Darkheart blinked as her new friend Minnostream asked her to rest. Smiling for she never had someone ask her to spend time with them, sitting down knowing how important the dusk patrol was, but she knew how important friendship was so she couldn't say no. Sighing softly as she mewed. "Alright, if you wish I will rest a bit until Silverpelt is shown then I must go, okay?" Curling her tail on her paws as her maw spread into a soft smile, enjoying Minnowstream's company.

"Only as long as you'd like, Darkheart." Minnowstream mewed, her eyes bright. "If I may be so bold, how long has the Silver Pelt been your companion?" She didn't wish to be intrusive, but the question just came out; maybe it was because of her own fascination with their starry ancestors when she was a kit that brought about the question.

Snowpaw noticed that some cats were mumbling about him. He could tell how they shifted, and all he needed was to hear his name once to feel inflamed. Just because I'd rather be defending my Clan like a warrior doesn't mean I'm any worse than they! What would they know, anyway? They got what they wanted! If one of their kits wanted to be a medicine cat instead of a warrior, would they treat it like they were treating him? He mentally scoffed at that, and ignored his mentor. She'd find out soon enough; they weren't pals. She needed to understand that. He hadn't chosen this, and he wasn't going to cozy up to her. He didn't need her pity nor her friendship. If StarClan really had picked out his future, and not Echosong, then they've had their heads in the clouds for too long! He flicked his ears in irritation. "Why? We aren't hunters." He sneered, his tail whipping behind him. Why was she so hesitant to train him? He needed to know just as much as any warrior in the Clan! If they were ever attacked, how would he defend himself and his clan-mates properly? Did she not trust him? That thought really ticked him off. He was enthusiastic about fighting, so what? It wasn't like he was going to kill his own! He stiffened suddenly. "Who's that?" He blinked, scenting just what his mentor had. It was definitely cat, a fellow feline, but it was so strange. It wasn't the scent of any Clan he knew, but it wasn't distinctively kittypet either. Was it a rogue? No, it doesn't stink enough. Fairpaw dropped a soft, grey-furred mouse she had just caught. It had been rather easy to kill, since it had stupidly grazed closer, and closer to her position among the bushes. It was luck, but she was proud of all she had to offer her Clan. She nodded, grinning. Watching her brother fail to execute the easiest of maneuvers--excluding the ones she had taught him of course--did put her in a sort of amused mood. She began to dig up some of her earlier catches, and made a small pile she knew she could handle. She'd have to make one trip, but she'd be quick. She didn't want to miss her brother's embarrassment. She was off faster than a bird as it ripped through the sky to get away from a nasty predator.

Echosong shifted her gaze towards a small fur like body she saw in the river and gasped as she rushed to the edge, "It's a kit!" She yowled becoming alarmed to see such a small kit drowning in the river, she look around before starting into the water to get to the small white fluff ball but right when she was about to grab it, the kit was carried farther down the river out of her reach. Bramblethorn purred in amusement at how she wanted to see her brother fight having guessed she was going to taunt him later about his practice. His ear twitched as he noticed Echosong and Snowpaw's scent had left the training ground. "They went to the river?" He meowed to himself outloud.

Snowpaw blinked in horror when he saw the tiny scrap of fur. It could be dead by now; kits couldn't swim...Unless they were older, but even then the currents would eventually take them. Who knew how long it had been drifting along, or where it had drifted from exactly? StarClan help it! He thought, standing by his mentor as she rushed to the edge to try and grab it. "Get a large branch--" He didn't explain any further, knowing she knew all the angles and would figure it out, if she didn't have a heart attack first. The first thing he felt when he jumped into the river was the icy cold waters. It made him gasp, and shudder, but he quickly recovered. He was RiverClan after all! He went with the current, letting it bring him to the kit as he kicked forward. He grabbed it delicately in his mouth, and began to thrash frantically to get to the shore. He curved his path, but he wasn't strong enough yet. His icy blue eyes searched for his mentor. She'd better be there! He spluttered and coughed as water entered his nose unexpectedly, his head ducking under the surface as he bounced along. "Probably to hunt or to pick up a little snack. Most RiverClan cats can do that much." She purred, back now from her final trip and free from having to carry her prey. Her Clan was more lenient when it came to when you ate, only because food was so plentiful. She was proud of her Clan, and glad their territory could support them...Though it could also be a curse. In hard times, others would come to them, begging for food. She couldn't understand why they didn't just merge together to form one big Clan. Everything would be a lot simpler, and there wouldn't be any border skirmishes. RiverClan could probably conquer them all, and think of it; you'd be very lucky to be an apprentice, because you could learn all the different styles! "We can beat them to the training hallows." She meowed finally, padding out to meet the familiar trail. Her tail swung behind her happily, oblivious to any troubles of the world.

Echosong hurried to the closest branch she could find and held it out into the river, able to get hold of the apprentice and begin to pull him back to shore. Once they were on shore, the medicine cat checked the kit for a pulse. "It's faint but shes still alive." She mewed licking the kit to warm it up as she took the white fluff ball from Snowpaw. "Go run ahead and inform Pharostar of what happened, I'll take the kit to the medicine den." She explained not getting him any time to refuse or object her as she began towards camp. Bramblethorn looked towards the way of the trail then began towards the training hallows not having caught the scent of fear until they were close. He swung his head around in time to see his sister holding a small kit that looked half drowned. "Echosong! What happened!" He yowled as he rushed to his sister but the medicine pushed past him having no time to answer.

Darkheart blinked as this question ran past her hearing range mewing her answer as she looked to her friend Minnowstream "They have been there when I was just a kit for you see I wasn't born a RiverClan member I was thrown out of ShadowClan by my brother who is no longer breathing and found by Redtail" she paused when she spoke of her brother looking to her claws in silence remembering how it felt to rip her sibling's throat out it seems like she liked the feeling of it but shook her head to get the thought out her head as she looked to her clanmate "Ever since then the StarClan has kept me company" she meowed looking to Minnowstream hoping she didn't see the she-cat as a horrible killer

Patterned fur blended in with the marsh environment surrounding Pharaostar. The tom was currently lurking through murky water of an upperstream, close to camp of course. When it came to fishing he wasn't good at sitting and swatting. No, he prefered to go after the fish. That's how he always retrieved the big ones which fattened his "family." It caused them to be healthy, not underly thin like Windclan. Even if the clan was fattened by their rabbits. Nothing could compare to the high protein content of a healthy fish. Speaking of which, standing still in one spot, Pharaostar stopped his breathing as a foot long trout slowly came his way. Wouldn't live long. For the cat dunk his head into the water after hooking the fish with his right paw. Head out of the water and shaking the flailing fish, it soon became limp. Victory was his friend as Pharaostar went to return to camp. However, apon dropping the fish at the fresh-kill pile. Screeches reached his hyposensitive ears. What was going on?

"Huh," Minnowstream thought for a moment. "I'm glad that happened, despite how cruel that sounds, because then RiverClan wouldn't have you. StarClan must have had a reason—" Breaking off her sentence, the RiverClan she-cat became alert as nearby screeches and yowls came from outside the camp. "Something's up," she murmured.

Darkheart's ears twitched to the sounds that were occuring outside. Looking to the entrance then looking to Minnowstream, meowing softly. "We should check it out if you want of course." The she-cat was never comfortable with poking her nose into somewhere it shouldn't be, but if it involved something with the Clan it was her every right.

"I agree," Minnowstream mewed, already moving towards the camp entrance. 'I hope no one's hurt..." She meowed in a quiet voice as the scents of multiple cats from her Clan blew in with the lake breeze.

Pharaostar took it apon himself to go and check out what was currently going on. The commotion had caught his interest, along with his curiousity. Besides, it was also his duty as leader to protect and serve his clan. Though, serve was a loosely used word. That multicolored coat blended in perfectly with the shrubs of the watered smelled land. Large eyes immediately caught attention to a collection of felines. One of which was Echosong, whom was carrying a small bundle of fur. Ears perked forward with interest as he approached the Medicine cat. "A kit? I will ask what happened from the others. I will see you at your den in a few. I am interested." His words rang into the air as the burly muscled tom strode off towards Snowpaw and the others.
(I am not too happy with this post. Excuse me if theres any confusion.)

Echosong just nodded as she hurried into camp not going to give it a second thought as she went into the medicine den and put the kit down in a nest. So young..she thought to herself as she wrapped herself around the half freezing kit, able to feel it shivering meaning the she-kit was awake. "Whats your name young one?" She asked trying to get the kit to stop shivering so badly. "featherkit.." the medicine cat nodded now having a name of the kit meaning it belonged to a clan.

Sloenose wondered what was going on in the camp as he returned from the sun-high patrol with several others. The sun was nearly down, casting long shadows in the noisy camp. He scented an unknown scent, following it to the medicine den. It was a kit Echosong was trying to save. Today was full of surprises. He glanced back around the camp, seeing his litter-mate Minnowstream with Darkheart. His sister's eyes were wide with worry.
