"You faced everything alone," Xiu pointed out, moving towards Riyo and patting her on the arm, "All I did was guide you in certain directions. I wasn't the one who stood up to the shadows plaguing your mind." Had Riyo given in to the darkness, then there would have been little that the baku could do.
She blinked in surprise at the question before nodding her head slowly. "I...lucid dreaming? Kind of. I did help aniki a little..." And he had gotten much better. He still couldn't manipulate his dream world perfectly--that wasn't surprising, considering how short of a time he had been practicing compared to her years--but it had worked. "It'll take a lot of time, though."
Even her dreams weren't entirely perfect, and she had years of experience and was a demon that had an affinity for dreams in the first place.

A yawn escaped after Riyo finished the thermos of tea, ignoring the fact that Xiu was once again trying to convince her she did nothing. It got a little annoying after awhile.
Mmm. That was one thing she didn't have right now. Time. "Well." Riyo started, standing from the couch and gently sitting the thermos back where she had found it. "Maybe you can teach me one day. For now, I have mountains of work and hours of sleep to catch up on, so I'll leave you to your business." Nodding towards Xiu with a small smile, the ghoul grabbed her hat and walked towards the door. "Have a good night."

The smile surprised her, but Xiu was quick to return it with a warm one of her own. "Of course--just let me know when you're free and I can give it a go." Until then? The baku raised her hand and waved goodbye to the bakeneko, suppressing a giggling when she noticed Arashi rub up against the ghoul's legs in his own goodbye.
"Good night, Riyo!"
