I have her personality scribbled in a notebook somewhere (which I have lost, of course), but yes, perfumer. I still haven't got that properly figured out. Considering she does not have oil, alcohol or the ability to boil water, I really don't know if it's plausible. Would anykin buy water-based potions? They would be so weak/temporary... and she wouldn't have containers (with lids) and and and... UGH. Any ideas? sweatdrop Regardless of whether she's a perfumer or not, Essence travels the swamp and "collects" smells. Scents are her obsession, and whilst other kin might judge by looks, she judges by scent. She's friendly enough, but can be standoffish to those she doesn't fully respect or give her too much control (something I think Squall does not need to worry about).

Eee I love how she judges on smell <3 I'm sure they could meet and she could smell the sea on him, and perhaps he could take her back to the beach? Perhaps instead of liquid perfumes, go for scented creams or salves, ground by her hooves in a turtleshell? They could be stored in small containers like, uh, shells? Big nut shells if they exist in the swamp, lol? Small turtle shells? And covered/made more airtight with oiled animal hide? (Animal fat = oil) She totes consulted Never Idle for all this, yup yup Ooh, they're lifemated/going to be lifemated, right? surprised Sure I'm up for it <3

Yeah, I was thinking turtleshells, but beach shells would be good too. Not nut shells though, I think everything would be absorbed/leak?
I suppose I could invent some nut that has big shells with like... a shiny/waterproofy layer on the inside /really bad at explaining, heh
Or like... giant acorns. AHAHA.
BUT WAIT. How do kin apply these potions/salves? They don't have hands and I'm pretty sure they can't bend their knees that far. Everyone gets a free foxbun/mongoose with each purchase, ROFL.
I was looking up ways to ferment things, so if she has animal hide and some uh, really good vines, then maybe she can make alcohol. 8D
Thanks for all the ideas! I really like the cream/salves thing.
Edit: Just to clarify, by middle/end of the month, did you mean June or July?

And depending on how far you start from the beach, it could take a while lol, and he goes out too far he'll probably be on a patrol and therefore at a strenuous pace x.x Applying salves.... I'm liking the free mongoose idea lol, kin will definitely need help. But I can also envision like a conditioner for fur/hair >> Maybe even put some in a small pool of water then bathe in it 8D - Yesss! xD Because that's totally in character for her, and their colors look like they'll be an interesting mix. And that's also assuming she doesn't run off first xP

I might try to sit on my fingers all of June, but I feel like I'll cave x.x Thank you for posting the other one, the more I see them the more I like them xD What name? :O If you crack a coconut in half, you could use the other half as a lid >> Or do the animal hide in plant oil thing lol @_@ Maybe if Essence wanders near the beach sorta following the salt smell, then smells it strongly on him and he guides her the rest of the journey?

Gah I really like Flowing Freely, she's grown on me a lot since I first saw her lol, but I don't think she and Squall really match sad Her vivid colors are a bit at odds with his muted ones x.x I totally understand <3 I secret names away and quietly hope they are never mentioned by anyone >> You could tie the coconut lid on perhaps lol? Clearly Essence needs a mongoose! Would you be able to start something up? :3
