⌠ It always seems impossible...

Alliances: Venus Tala [D11]
Location: Mountains

Fast asleep in my insulated sleeping bag, I woke up to the sound of the Panem national anthem screaming it's notes. I, somewhat unconsciously, crept my way to the entrance of the cave, staying aware that anything could be right outside it. I looked up into the sky, awaiting the faces of tributes who had died during day 4.

4 faces of tributes that I had scene in the training center had passed. The 5th broke me down. Venus Tala. I was instantly awake. I slide my way back into the cave, trying to hold any sound in me. A couple warm tears found their way down my cheek. The salty taste was only one I could have recognized from when my father was nearly killed. I knew to not get myself into any connection with anyone, but I thought I could make it out of here with her. I thought we had talked about it. I thought we could have made it happen.

I zipped my sleeping bag up all the way and wrapped my arms around my face. I'm going to do this for her. Venus Tala, I promise you I'll do anything in my power to win these games.

A few minutes passed until I really realized that it's either I die, or I win.
I will win.
For Venus Tala.
For the Marioth's.
For District 11.

I woke up at the end of day three my head looked up at the night sky as the anthem played I must have slept the whole day ugh.As they show the dead tributes in the sky something surprises me Thomas was in the sky my head fell back.I thought I would die first. After I thought about it I slammed my head to the floor falling asleep untill day 4.Waking Up I decided to eat lots of food and water.I had the rest of my fish some beef jerky more water then i decided to go foraging for food and water. As I was looking for food I came across a spring I decided to fill up my canteen since I dranked all of my 1st canteen.I tasted the water it was totally purified yes I thought. When I turned my head there there was a angry albino male dear about to attack me with its hooves.Quickly taking my hunting knife I slammed it into its stomach sadly I never liked killing deer but I was about to be kicked.Taking the hunting knife out the deer fell on me.As blood gushed out falling on me I push my self out.Taking my knife I gutted the deer taking all of the good meet and putting it in my pack.Since I already had blood on my clothes I took my hand and put it in the blood that was still on the deer and wiped it on my face.

Hopefully this would make me look more tough since you could not tell the difference between tribute blood and deer blood unless you looked at the dna. With red blood on my face I looked at the meat that I put in my pack and it was a good 7 servings. I got up and grabbed all of my stuff and continued walking finding some grass I saw that it was antidote grass grabbing some I mashed it up and put it in my pack. I now had 1 serving more of antidotes I was glad. Then there it was a apple tree I smiled.I went over to the tree dropped my packs so I could climb easier perhaps I was too arrogant the first time and forgot I was not that good at climbing trees. But when I got up there holding 2 apples I fell down barly catching my self but getting a nasty cut on my left arm.Looking in my pack I decided to eat a helpful plant.Taking it I ate the leaf part and mushed up the stem to go on my cut.Putting the apples in my pack I grabbed all of my stuff which by now was getting very heavy and continued walking.

The girl spoke up first, countering Arden's retorts. Typically, if she were in D2, she would've been offended. But this as the Arena. You needed to say a few witty remarks and use harsh tones if you didn't want to die. And then the male spoke up, using his formal yet strictly 'no' tone. Arden smirked, then said: "Being friends in another world would be easy, boy. But we do not live in another world. We have to be ruthless or die at the hands of the ruthless. But I do appreciate you not wanting to see me die. Perhaps you won't." Arden winked, letting what she meant sink in. Yes, she was almost certain she would not die in the Arena. When she did, it will be in Victors Village, in D2. The boy grabbed girly's wrist and together they headed away. "And with that, it is time to bid our goodbyes. See you where ever, District 3." Arden turned away this time, away from the tributes and haded off, bow and arrow still poised and ready. Who knows, they could change their mind?

But they didn't. They stayed away for the rest of the day. Good for them, knowing sneaking up on a Career was a horrible idea. Arden was curious though, how the D1 tributes were doing. Shie hadn't seen them around, but she knew they had not been killed. Arden was alone again, now searching around the mountains. Luckily, she stumbled upon a cave. There were mushrooms all over the place! Arden picked one up and bit into it, then spat it out immediately. It had a sour taste to it, like it wasn't good. It probably wasn't. Already, Arden began feeling sick. She took out the bee sting cream, the only thing she has that could heal, and smothered it all over her stomach. It wasn't going to do any good, since it was for bee stings, but the cooling effect of the cream had already began to work, soothing Arden and her stomach. "Stupid mushrooms." Arden muttered, the escaped the cave as soon as possible.

Next, Arden went Around the mountain grounds, staring at the ground in case of rocks and stuff. She couldn't afford to trip. She noticed something at the grounds, however.Almost stepping on it, Arden picked it up and realized it was worms. More worm bait! She picked it up and immediately headed back to the waterfalls for fishing. It wa time for camp, anyway. As she walked, nibbled on bittermelon, actual food she could eat.

Once I continued walking I my 5 senses were on the alert. Since I had alot of stuff I could not walk or run real fast. I was about to turn the mountains ridge when I heard foot steps.Very quiet ones of course but since I am keen at making no noise when walking I tend to hear for those exsact footsteps.Looking around I did not see any one and I knew by the sound that they were walking away perhaps towards the waterfalls.I decided to continue walking and perhaps to see if I can find a tribute that I have not seen in the arena.Once I got close enough to see who it was my mouth dropped. It was ARden the only career left in the games. She suddenly looked back flashing her bow. Then I decided that I was gonna go follow her moves and see how she fights then if she is the one to attack me and try and kill me in theese games I would know how to fight back with atleast a chance of winning. So I continued to follow her.Taking a brake though befor she got to the waterfalls I relaxed then I later tracted her down in a cave.

Tao was surprised at how much she was giving him. That was a lot of medical supplies! "Most definitely, thanks." He said as leaned over and gratefully took the supplies. Looking to her as she smiled and found himself smirking back. As she began to speak about moving their camp he chowed down on two pieces of the meat and the last sip of his water. He had to agree, there did seem to be a good bit of Tributes snooping around here. He nodded in agreement. "Your right. It's been very busy up here." Tao said, not mentioning how many Tributes he had to kill because the strayed to close to their camp. "If you don't mind me suggesting. I want to stay in the forests. It provides better cover-" Tao's sentence was cut short as he heard a yell of pain erupt from outside of their cave.

Tao, immediately becoming serious and angered from this interruption, grabbed his sword and axe and went outside. There was a boy Tribute yelling in pain and eyes full of tears. He seemed to be broken. Strangely Tao remembered this Tribute, his name was Haimon from District 7. He and his lover, Hailey, were chosen to compete in the Games. It was sad, tragic even. It seems the loss of his loved one has gotten to him. Tao approached him looking at the boy. His eyes met Tao's, a hint of fear began to show but then it was overpowered by pain. "Please! I don't care about living anymore! Kill me! I can't take it anymore, I want to be with her! She was all I had!" He cried to Tao, who was in shock and felt his heart sink. "Are you sure?" He questioned feeling terrible that he'd even ask that but the boy nodded fiercely and went down to his knees and closed his eyes. This was unbelievable to Tao, giving up so easily just to die and be with your loved one. It was crazy, but he could tell that he was crazy in love with that girl. Calmly Tao aimed the sword at his chest and stabbed him. The boy gasped and then fell to the ground. He pulled the sword out of the boy and took his stuff as the cannon fired. Tao returned to the cave and shook his head to Morrigan. "If we are going, we better do it now." Tao said gathering his stuff and waited at the cave entrance for Morrigan to come.

The sun was just meeting it's ascendance over the treeline, and I was already sitting up in the cave, night vision glasses on. There was a lot to think about considering Venus' face was shown up in the sky last night. But it really made me think. This is for me now. I have no one to worry about than myself. No one to prove that I can do it other than myself. "Mama always said breakfast was the most important meal of the day" I quietly said to myself, allowing a smile to break onto my face. I grabbed the last 2 pieces of beef jerky, and chewed it ever-so-slowly. A serving of water was probably used to wash down some of the drier pieces. Perhaps 8 minutes of eating had passed before I was able to see the trees 20 yards away.

I pick myself up on my feet, walked over to the entrance of the cave and, once again, cautiously looked outside. Nobody was outside. I left a few of my materials in the cave, bringing with me only my glasses, hunting knife, canteen, and smoke bombs. I stepped over the large snare I had set up at the entrance, and I left. I left to get myself a big advantage in these games. I left to the cornucopia.

Alliances: Venus Tala [D11]
Location: Mountains
Day: 5

Out of breath, I returned to the scene of my make-shift base. I moved aside the shrub and nearly let out a shriek as something attempted to jump at me. It was a white rabbit. A white rabbit that was caught in my snare.

I was overjoyed with this site, just previously had eaten my last servings of food. I took the hunting knife from next to my sleeping bag, held down the rabbit with my left hand and I sliced the head off with my right. Slightly brutal, even to myself who has scene the very same things back in my own district, but this was a game of survival.

I set down my new supply next to my sleeping bag. I loosened the snare, and removed the lifeless creature. I retied the snare, grabbed the newly acquired fishing net and bait and left the cave in search for some sticks, dried brush, and hopefully a river.

A short walk down the right side slope of the mountain led me to a small river, that of which I threw my net out with some bait. No more than 2 minutes later, a multiple fish were lured into the net. I snatched the end of the net, closing it in, and pulled the net in as fast as possible. FOUR FISH. Today was going great. Unbelievable really. I threw the net, with the fish in them, over my back and marched my way back up to camp, grabbing a few sticks along the way. A handful of plants were taken with me as well.

Once returning to the cave, I set the net down, flopping fish inside, threw the sticks down, and put the plants across the cave from my sleeping bag. I took my boning knife out and cut the heads of each fish off. I began to set up the sticks and plants into a tee-pee formation for a fire to cook the meat until I recognized three of the plants I had taken. These three plants, 2 in a greenish-blue tint, another in a dark brown, were all ingredients of an Antidote!
I removed those three from the pile, lit the small fire with my lighter, and one-by-one, slid the fish and rabbit into the fire, roasting all 6 pieces of meat. While these were cooking, I smashed up the plants, extracted juices, and made an antidote.

I spent the rest of the day overlooking the environment. I couldn't stay in this cave much longer, I had to get moving tomorrow. I just needed to figure out where.

After wrapping one fish in preserving plastic wrap, a dinner of 3 servings of fish happened to be a great meal before another night of shut-eye, preparing the next morning to be on foot.

Alliances: Venus Tala [D11]
Location: Mountains - Wetlands
Day: 6

As always, I woke up before the sun had brightened the arena. I loved the cave, but there was only so much time that I could spend in one spot before a gamemaker attack would be unleashed in my area, or until somebody found me. I packed up my gear, making sure not to leave a single thing, including my snare. The two large bags were heavy, but that didn't keep me from losing a step on my eventual run through the trees.

Once stepping out of the cave, I knew exactly where I was going to go. With my new fishing equipment, I decided that the Wetlands would be the best place for me to go right now. The treeline that surrounded the wetlands was perfect for me. My balance could help me both travel through the trees along with tying my sleeping bag on a strong branch. At least that's what I could see from the observation the night before. It was too early in the morning to see the landscape just yet... but the night vision glasses helped me find my general south-southwest path through the trees.

There was no need for glasses halfway through the journey as the skylight had reached a bright enough stage. Probably an hour of navigating through the trees and still no wetlands. Am I even going the right way?
That thought was quickly answered when I had seemingly ran out of trees to jump through.

Ezekiel Cross
D3

Ezekiel nodded in recognition, throwing a grin in Sarane's direction. "Nah, I'll go rummaging on my own, Cya later! Oh, and please.. don't get into any more trouble."

((Forage #1&2 from yesterday))
The first thing he did was climb suspicious-looking trees, checking for what may come. He couldn't find any pine cones, as he had hoped to, but had managed to gather some apples, which he ate all five hungrily. He stumbled across a small stream on his walk back, happily taking the chance to get a drink of water. He used the last of his water purification tablets.

Even though his guard was well down, he didn't mind being out in the open. He had grown accustomed to the sounds of this forests and all of its creatures. Even a heavier-than-normal rustle of leaves would catch his attention. When he got back to the rendezvous point, he found Sarane already waiting for him and he threw up his hands. "I found some apples, but I ate them all already. I used my last water purification tablet, too, so if you wouldn't mind sharing one or two in case we get separated that would be excellent." He was grinning again. "Now, let's just make camp here and rest for the night. We can get to my hiding spot tomorrow when the sun rises... C'mon, now, pick a tree."

(( I'm sorry everyone. I'll forage for the next day, pray I get more food, post for it, and then leave it open for fights. sweatdrop 6 AM post, wewt! 3nodding ))

(( Day 6! ))

Ezekiel woke up with a suppressed yawn, stretching as slightly as he could. Pine needles prodded his neck and back. He poked his head out of the tree he had decided to call it a night in and smirked. Sarane was still asleep as far as he could tell, and the sun was barely on the horizon. He felt exhausted but couldn't sleep any longer in his bed of needles. Carefully, he stood, dropping his mostly-empty waterproof pack near Sarane and tip-toeing away to go check the nearby trees for food. He didn't have to travel far, nor did he want to, to find a healthy amount of nuts and more apples. That tree he had found the day before was full of the things! He had a feeling he might have gotten the last ones though.

When he got back to their makeshift camp, he packed the food into the pack quietly and munched on an apple and two handfuls of nuts. Now Sarane just needed to wake up and they could be on their way. Quickly, preferably. They didn't need any of the other remaining Tributes to attack them while they were groggy. Especially that Arden.

I didn't have to wait for long until I heard Zeke working his way back. "I have tons of purification tablets, so don't worry about that, I said, reaching into my pack and showing him the bottle. I was lucky to run into already purified water, so I haven't even used any of them yet. I nodded and stood up, making my way over to a tall tree for the night.

I woke up without jumping for the first time in days. I looked around and noticed that Zeke was already eating, I didn't think too much of it, he was probably out foraging. I reached into my pack and ate the rest of the pine nuts and drank some of my water. I slid down the tree quietly, looking for some type of food. I walked for a few minutes before finding a tree with a few ripe apples just waiting to be picked. After climbing up the already thin tree, I made the mistake of putting too much weight on the branch and I heard a slight cracking noise before I fell to the ground. I scooped up the two apples that had fallen with me and hurried out of there just in case anyone heard my fall. I started eating one of the apples on the way back, stumbling into a small patch of mud with a few worms in it. I carefully grabbed the two worms, saving them for fishing later. Even though I was traveling carefully, I still made it back to camp fast. I had gotten pretty good at moving quickly and silently during my time in the Games. "Got some worms for fishing if we run into a pond or something later on," I said before grabbing the bottle of purification tablets, remembering what Zeke had said the day before. I reached inside and grabbed five, handing them to him, I still had plenty left for me.

I was the first to wake up. I had decided to sleep in a tree for the second time. I looked over and noticed that Zeke was still asleep, I slid down the tree carefully, making sure not to fall again. I started to walk off, searching for more water, I drank the rest of my water and ate my last apple on my walk.

I discovered a few more worms on my way to the spring. After filling my canteen, I tried fishing with using my four worms as bait. It took a while, but I was able to snag four fish, I smiled as I began to clean them with my hunting knife. I wasn't stupid enough to light a fire, so I was forced to eat one of the fish raw. I'd give Zeke the other two when he woke up. I quickly made my way back to the tree we had spent the night in, trying to make no noise.

I reached up and jostled Zeke awake, "Come on, wake up. We should get moving," I held up the remaining three fish. "Also, I caught breakfast," I said. We needed to get moving fast, I had been in the mountains since the beginning of the Games, I should probably try to go somewhere else.

I didn't get much sleep the previous night. I had spent most of my time thinking about how to survive the rest of the Games. I drank some of my water and ate another fish, leaving two just in case Zeke wanted one. I went back to the tree I had taken apples from a few days earlier. I climed it once again, trying not to lose my balance and fall. Once again, I was able to snag a couple of apples before I lost my footing and fell to the ground. I was not having much luck with trees, was I? I started walking again, looking for food, maybe water, but mostly some type of herb. I hadn't had much luck with foraging, having eaten bad mushrooms and fallen out of a tree, twice now. I decided to eat the apples, feeling a few hunger pains. Now it was even more important to find some type of herb, maybe those painkilling flower petals. I had luck on my side when I found a few plants I recognized as herbs. Ignoring the bitter taste, I ate them, trying to rid myself of the sore and sick feeling I had from before.

I decided to head back to camp, I had enough water for another day or so, and I wasn't totally hungry. When I approached the camp, I leaned against a tree, waiting for Zeke to wake up.

o why are you so eager to betray?
Pick the pieces up, pick the pieces up.
So why are you the one that walks away?
Pick the pieces up, pick the pieces up, pick the pieces up.

(my health is 100 just wanna make it make sense becouse wounds by a deathfish does not heal in 3 days xd)
Getting to the mountains was exstremly hard with the injured foot. The painkillers I took for them was wearing off but atleast she was at the mountains now sitting on a comfy stump. Having my spiked hammer in my hand I was relaxing right now trying to get my stress levals down. so far I have relied on 3 bad allies. 2 die from tribute attacks or hunger or thirst I do not know what because they would leave me alot and the other one is still out there probrably ready to kill me. I was very angered at this I needed a reliable allie but there is none left.I should have choosen at the begining someone with strength and integrity not people who are nice or close by.By now I suppose the career allied with that dottie girl and there was no way she could trust bentley again. ugh theese games were even worse of course being in them then watching but then again her sisters must be in even more pain. I started to notice each day I smiled less and less I was happy less and less theese games shall not control me smiling I tried to brighten up no matter how pain recking it was.

Deciding to do something useful I gathered some grass and lit a fire.Grabbing a few sticks I put my meat on each one Decideing I was teird of seeing blood in the meat when I ate it raw. This took me about a hour I was not afraid of a tribute coming bacause at one point they will have to battle besides the smoke is less visible during the day. After I cooked all of the meat I put it back in my pack which still had blood in it but atleast it did not leak threw.Grabbing my damp close I hung them on the sticks warming them up. after they were all dried perhaps a little burnt I put everything back on. Putting out the fire with some dirt I decided to travel up the mountains farther then I have went threw the whole games. getting to the highest point I thought was good enough for my ankle I set up camp in a big cave. putting my stuff inside I made my bed. 2 blankets and a sleeping bag that was perfect! I layed my head on a small pack and waited for nightfall which was 4-5 hours away.
