Mot managed a smile. Together sounded good. It seemed less like he was the only one who needed the training, though honestly he was so far behind it seemed that way.

"Breakfast?" Mot wasn't sure about this. Was she going to make him stuff himself with a large valk sized breakfast of kings? Mot grimaced. "Um.. I don't know if I can eat.. much." He reminded her hesitantly, a hand grazing his stomach.
Still, he needed food to go with the painkillers.

Hel gave Mot a look. That look said ‘Do I look stupid?’

Bah, Mot!” Hel lightly snapped, waving a hand at him. “You speak as if I do not know you or something.” Was she pouting? Yes.

Do what you need to; come meet me in my room when you’re ready.” Was she still pouting a bit? Yes. She then marched out of the cowboil’s room, and went back to her own, where she pulled out the painkillers, along with a jug of apple cider, some sausage, eggs, cheese, and a small bit of potatoes, as well as a pan and a spoon, and started to cook the ingredients. A very simple, yet hearty breakfast.

Hel's pouting was noted, though not outwardly reacted to. He watched as she left his room to start on breakfast. Come when he is ready, huh? Her figure disappeared and Mot flopped backward onto his bed again with a huff. What a way to wake up. So alien, so unusual.

He rolled a bit, crawling to get sitting again. He stopped short where Hel had been laying that night. It smelled like her.. would his bed smell like that for a while? It was a nice smell. A ghoul's smell.

Why was he lingering on this?

The grim reaper shook his head, standing up suddenly and stomping toward his dresser. Clothes need clothes clo---ooooh dizzy. Mot staggered and held his weight up by grabbing the dresser, his hand grazing the hat. The new hat. It was even more amazing now that he could see it better in a well lit room.
Mot admired it for a while longer, almost mesmerized. He shook his head softly, pulling away from the dresser.

Forget clothes, he'd just be going to bed again anyway.

Instead, his ran his hands through his hair in an attempt to tame it down, moving to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Once all that was done, he left his room and made his way into Hel's yawning a bit.

When Mot finally did step into her room, breakfast was done!

On the counter would be a small bowl mixed with sausage, eggs, cheese and potato shreds, next to that a hot mug of apple cider, and then next to that, pain killers. Hel herself was leaning against another section of the counter, a bigger bowl in her hands as she worked at her breakfast thoughtfully. A fork pointed at the small bow as she paused, “There you are, bird boil.”

A soft glare was cast at Hel at her odd little nickname. What was she suddenly grumpy about? The grim reaper was rather oblivious to it.

He looked at the small bowl, slowly making his way to the counter toward it. It did smell good, but like with most if not all new foods, Mot was acting picky. He took a fork, leaning forward on his arms over the counter, poking at the meal curiously. He'd enjoyed her stew, and even tried to eat it at least once a day or so. This would be good to, he was sure.

It took a bit more experimental poking, but Mot eventually took a forkful and had a bite. Having not eaten in...days..? Wow, he couldn't even recall the last he had eaten. Still, the food was good. Enough so that he went for a second bite soon after the first was done.

What was she grumpy about? Oh nothing. Just that she knew that he didn’t eat a lot and he implied that she had forgotten that fact. Aside from that? She was alive and doing alright, which was pretty good considering what they had just come from.

Admittedly, Hel did watch Mot out of the corner of her eye a bit anxiously. This wasn’t stew…and his picky approach to the bowl didn’t go unnoticed. She hoped he liked it…though if he didn’t she did have some more stew but…eating stew all the time…he should have other food intakes! So when the reaper took a bite, and then another one, Hel was pleased. She smiled lightly into her own bowl, taking a few more bites as well. “…You and I should have a battle as soon as you are feeling up to par.” The valkyrie suddenly announced.

Mot nearly choked on his third bite after hearing that. Battle? Oh Jack, he really did not want to hear that word. Not now. Too soon.

He coughed a bit, dropping his fork in the bowl. "Um...okay. It may be a long while." He was all about getting stronger, but having to do battle so soon, he just was not up for it. However, she did say 'when he was feeling up to par. Still, for him it would be a long while. Fighting; he'd done quite enough of it. Actually, it felt less like a fight, and more like he was just beaten into the ground with little resistance on his part. He'd barely had a chance.

Hel hummed softly, thoughtfully, and thankfully didn’t press the issue. “…Alright.” She murmured, but she did add, “…But it can’t be too long, Mot. That’s wasting time.” Hel reached for her mug of apple cider and took a sip, staring absentmindedly at one of the kitchen walls. Maybe coming from a Nordic culture…Hel wasn’t so opposed to the idea of jumping into another battle soon…it was how she was raised, after all, it was what she knew. But for the cowboil’s sake? She could wait. A bit. Not a long while.

Speaking of Nordic culture and families…

The reaper shifted uncomfortably as something just oh so pleasantly reminded her of an event she was obligated to go to. Ugh…she really didn’t even want to think about it, especially after what just happened but…familial obligations and all that…

“…Um…” Hel spoke up again after a long moment, her brows furrowing. “…Mot…I have something to ask of you…and…well…” She trailed off for a moment, almost as if she was now regretting asking. “…Uh, if it does not suit you, please do not feel obligated to attend because I asked….” Though secretly deep down, if she had to go, she did wish he’d say yes, but silly Hel, she didn’t even ask the question yet!

How long was too long for Hel? He really hoped she didn't expect him rearing to go within a week.

Mot silently ate most of his meal, though as usual for him there was a fair amount left over despite the smaller serving. Hel piped up just as he was staring on his cider. A favour? Hel seemed a bit apprehensive. Was it a big favour? The reaper wasn't opposed to helping out so long as it was within his capabilities. "What is it?" He asked curiously, standing properly rather than leaning on the counter.

…Bah, she really shouldn’t have even brought it up…It was too late now though.

“…Next weekend, my oldest sister is to be wed…and ah…as sisters, Freya and I are obligated to attend…but…uh…” She trailed off for a moment, looking off to the side. This seemed like such a good idea to invite him before the fieldtrip. “…We were given invitations to also bring along two guest if we so choose…it would only last the weekend…we’d be back before Moonday of next week…and all the transportation is already arranged...as is lodging…so you wouldn’t need to worry about any of that…” What Mot would need to worry about though was her family…and that’s why she was suddenly hesitating.

“…So…I was wondering if you’d like to go…” Hel put her breakfast bowl down, and instead circled her finger around the rim of her cup, glancing over at the cowboil anxiously. Hopefully he’d understand all the implications of being in her home territory…if he was overwhelmed by just her and Freya…well then…going to the root of it probably wasn’t the best idea. “…B..but like I said, truly, if this does not appeal to you at all, please do not feel like you must. I understand.” She looked back down at her cup now, frowning.

Sometimes? Mot made very poor decisions. Sometimes, he did not think things carefully.

This was one of those times.

"Sure, I'll go." Mot answered simply, smiling lightly. "Sounds like fun." Wedding? He'd never been to one before! Honestly, why was Hel so nervous about it? How silly~.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 06, 2011 9:07 am

Well…that was anti-climatic.

Hel’s gaze swiveled back around to Mot, staring at him with a bit of disbelief. Did he think this through? Did he know what he was getting himself into? She sure hoped so…so she dared to let herself feel hopeful and maybe a bit excited. Maybe this wedding could be bearable with Mot at her side. “…Really…? Are you certain?” She questioned, just to double, and possibly even triple check.

Well…okay…she apparently got worked up over that for nothing. Lame.

Hmm…she still needed to get a certain Undead in on this too…had to do it before Freya was on to her…hey wait. Hel’s eyes narrowed. Freya…Freya…Freya…Mot! She whipped her head around so fast you thought the ghoul got whiplash as she stared at Mot. “Ah…friend…I believe you have something to tell me…we are alone right now…” Hel then waved her pinky at him.

"Uh, yes?" Mot replied with an arched brow raised high. Was there something she wasn't telling him about weddings? The fact it was a Valkyrie wedding had not clicked with him. He did not realized dealing with Hel and Freya was nothing like dealing with dozens more of their kin.

Mot's head lifted quickly as Hel suddenly looked at him rather forcefully, raising both brows in concern. Something to tell her? No, he really didn't---

As her pinky raised, wiggled, Mot's eyes grew wider. Oh ********> Sure, his hat was no longer on the line per se, but it still meant he had to tell Hel what had gone on with him and Freya. For Mot, that was very difficult and uncomfortable. Mot swallowed hard, setting down his cider on the counter.

"Right.. I promised.." How the Hell was he supposed to explain that he had gotten felt up by her sister? "She just kind of.. tested my loyalty, I suppose.."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 06, 2011 9:39 am

Okay…if he was sure…

Hel stared at Mot intently while she waited, placing her cup down on the counter next to her bowl. Her hands then went to her hips as she waited, tilting her head. His first initial response was…unsatisfactory to say the least. She knew Freya did something, but what did she do exactly was what she wanted and needed to know. Her eyes narrowed more when he said she ‘tested his loyalty’. What did she do?

There was no beating around the bush about this. There was no tactful or gentlemenly way to go about it. Mot breathed in slowly, averting his gaze from Hel completely. No hat to shield him from the world anymore. No amount of hats ever would.

"She hit on me."
