"I am so confused."
Vaith's one liner towards Note, his familiar. His familiar failed to remark back, instead, dumbly staring at the chaos around them. Oh, by the way, he nearly fell off the cliff. This was going to be on hell of a dangerous ride.

"A party? A party? Danny, that's absolutely ridicu--" Colette stopped her complaining as she heard an unmistakable cackling. The Reaper's eyes narrowed at the memory. She knew that voice. She remembered the ghoul from that awful island who just stood and stared as she was swallowed up by the ground. The 'daughter of famine.'
Colette was about to answer her question in the most sour of tones, but a boil pointing at Danny kindly took Colette's attention away. The Reaper stepped closer to Danny defensively. "No one is going to 'eliminate' Danny," Colette retorted in a very serious tone, with not-too-happy facial expression directed at the boil to match. Who was this kid?

Oh no, clearly someone was a little... confused. And for once, it wasn't Famine's heir. She cackled, and gave the fiery demon barely a glance.
"That is no maker. I am looking for that which created those vile human HUNTERS, those rodents who scurry under the floorboards of normal civilization, and refuse to submit to the click ticking of time and terror... " The ghoul grinned, and tiptoed her way over towards Demi. Her shoes made a startlingly loud clicking against the hard floor. "When I see the maker, I will GRIND HIS CREATIONS UNDER MY HEELS. Like those roaches... Roaches and Rust..."
She twirled around again, and strode right to the very edge of the great chasm, spreading her wings as though she was about to jump. But she just stood there, feeling the wind tousle her feathers, and wreak havoc with her long, blonde locks. "No, I will tell him, and SHOW HIM HOW TO PUNISH HS CREATIONS."
She was unaware of having met many of those students before, back on the island... All those memories swirled in a poor imitation of chronology, and sadly, they had been rather forgettable as they perished left and right.

West eventually recognized Famine as well, and his eyes widened slightly when he did. It was one thing to have been superficially informed that those puffed up Horsemen were wandering the school, and even to have seen that one pumpkin exploder in class, but it was another to be reunited with this ghoul, even though it didn't seem she recognized any of them. If the heir to Famine was here, did that mean something terrible was waiting for them in that pit?
Awesome.
This was what he had been waiting for. CHAOS! PUNCHING! MADNESS! BLOOD! The boil almost tried to fistbump someone, but unobtrusively bounced his hand off of his thigh instead. He didn't even care that Levi was nearby anymore.

Water dripped echoing off what felt like nothing as she marched into the darkness of the door. For a moment she wondered if she would find a door leading to the other side in the darkness. She didn't see Shehk, Nuk, or even Toby lumbering about as a giant monster. Instead she only saw darkness and a faint door shape ahead. When she arrived she turned the handle stepping through into a broken down and seemingly empty room. Still she dripped and stomped moving along with little sense of stealth as room turned to gravel and room into cliff. Glancing back she saw no door no room, or Altair, just the vast land behind her and others milling ahead.
One in paticular who looked as bad as she did the day of an exam.
"AMMMMIIIIRTA!!" The ghoul sprinted now, heavy wet boots making wet slaps as they hit the ground moving towards the smaller ghoul, she was covered in blood, flesh ripped from her face and Sammy found her fears growing, someone had attacked other teams, she hadn't been there. For Amrita, for any of the others she might have been with and it ate her up inside.
This wasn't what I wanted to do, I wanted to make a difference, to help...I couldn't solve a stupid puzzle to help...
Eventually she slowed nodding to the Boil beside Amrita who she seemed to be clinging too. "Amrita it's Sammy what are you yelling about, what's going on? Who rescued who?"

Levi was smiling already when the winged figure with the clanking shoes suggested grinding and submission; this was one tough ghoul.
There may have been a word of "hunters" being thrown about in the air around her, but it hadn't really caught on specifically till this ghoul mentioned it. What sorta hunter we talkin' 'bout 'ere? ... are we ... huntin' tha hunters? No, she went above that- she wanted to find the maker of these hunters.
... why're ya huntin' this fellar down? Sure, attacking was all fine and dandy business to her, but wouldn't hurt to ask. If something of the non-delicious fishy sort was going on, it was best to learn the why perhaps in case it could save her tail.
Yeah ... she was a little on the slow side. The ghoul had basically already answered everything Levi questioned to some extent.

Hel, Mot, Lattice, Lizzy, Amrita...she could hear both Demi and Levi as well, along with the voices of some of her other friends. Xiu felt a flood of relief upon hearing all of these voices, but there was a hint of anxiety in her expression as she turned and tried to survey her surroundings as best as she could. While she was relieved that these friends were safe...
...What about the others? Remi, Lacie, and Raziel? Mitsu, Shun, and Riyo? Roch? Junko and...
Her ears perked up slightly as she heard a familiar voice from nearby. Without much warning, she drew away from the group she was with and--using the beam from Moure's flashlight and the glow from Danny's tail--made her way towards the noise reaper. Once she was close enough, the small ghoul launched herself at him in a hug, gleeful to see that another of her friends was safe.
"Vaith! I'm so happy to see that you're alright!"
Hopefully the reaper hadn't been standing too close to the ledge when she had done that.

The Vetala only tore her gaze away from the man with the answers (Moure) when she heard someone yelling her name. It took her a moment to register who it was that was coming at her incredibly fast, and even went to cling on to the other Patchwork a little tighter until...
"...SAMMY!" She cried out, joy and relief managing to leap into her, well, everything, at the sight of her hero. Moure was thankfully let go and in his place, Sammy received the death grip. "Of course it's you!" She whimpered, unable to help resist clinging to her dear Hero. "Some of us were attacked!" Of course she didn't bother to express that her team had been attacked, but it was pretty implied. "Moure here was saying that Lizzy's team needed to be rescued and---" Moure received another stare from the ghoul eagerly awaiting her answers.
Somehow, in the mess of it all, she didn't actually see Lizzy in the darkness far behind her.

Sammy welcomed the death grip of the smaller ghoul, squishy and squeaking as she was hugged in her soaking wet jacket. Closer up she saw the damage more clearly, it looked like she had been impaled this of course made her all the more worried. Who had done that? And how?
"Who attacked you guys? We just went through two puzzle like rooms, no fighting or anything..." She frowned, had they done something wrong? Was that why others got hurt? She looked up at Moure as if waiting for the same response Amrita did.
"Ami... what happened, exactly..." She glanced down at the wound in her friends chest, it reminded her of Jinggleberry, and it reminded her of something else. Her trip to visit Nox. "What attacked you, wast it... a hunter? Did it say it was?"

Cymbeline's grin stretched wide, and she turned to face the ghoul who began to talk to her. Or, at least she thought the ghoul was talking to her!
"YES. They will pay for what they have done, those wretched, filthy HUNTERS." The heir opened her mouth as though about to explain, when she noticed the eager excitement radiating off a redhead demon nearby.
"YOU!" She shouted, pointing in only the most obvious manner as she approached West. "YOU. You have that bloody scent of anger. Like Pesty, but taller! I can tell, you will help me thrash them. We will crush them, break them into little tiny pieces, grind them into a ruined smear in the dirt and maybe then they will HAVE LEARNED NOT TO MESS WITH THE APOCALYPSE."
Then just as quickly as she had fixated on him, she seemed to lose interest. Wandering back to the edge of the chasm, she peered over expectantly.

"Easy easy, I was just joking." Damien reassured the ghoul that spoke up rather defensibly as he waved his hand about back and forth. He in all honestly wasn't joking, but wasn't going to admit that out loud. And was going to continue on till the bony ghoul came closer... like REALLY CLOSE.
close enough the make him flinch and warily extend the much needed space between them. There wasn't much to say to the ghoul except a very quiet "oh." and hope that she took the crazy with her somewhere else, which she did, much to his relief and let out a sigh, when a tail fond his midsection again "Levi, I said no ta- oh Willow!" he said with momentary shock in his swirling green eyes that quickly turned as did his smile when he pulled her into a tight hug.
"I didn't see anyone else from our team till now, what a relief!" he said, poking at her tail. "No need to be nervous."

At first, as Eris stepped through the door, she wasn't sure where she was. Her eyes had slid closed as she'd stepped through the one in the clocktower, preferring to not see the distortion of space to get to the new area, but even before she'd opened them as she'd exited through the other side, she'd known something was different. For one thing, it was dark. Usually, she could see the light through her eyelids, a pleasantly red glow -- she'd seen it in the clocktower, as she'd stood in the middle with her eyes turned upwards, willing a door down towards them. Now... now there was nothing. The glow was gone. Another thing was the chill in the air. The gust of breeze tugged at her hair and skirt, causing them to lick at her skin, brushing over her cheek and ankles, her tail flicking unbidden to do the same. Despite how heat-centric she was... it felt nice, nice enough that she tilted her head up a little, turning it slightly towards the direction it was blowing and taking a slow breath, smelling the air. Lastly was the sound of a crunch of the gravel under her heels as she stepped through the portal, as well as the sound of energy dissipating completely as the door disappeared behind her. That was definitely new, on both counts. In all the other rooms, her heels had made a clicking sound, always on wood, like a typical, traditional room, whether smooth polished oak or rickety and swelled and splintered like what should have been in an old house. But more importantly, the door had never disappeared before, never not allowed her to return back to the tower.
It was the disappearance of the door that finally made her open her eyes, slow and unhurried, although certainly bewildered, turning her head to look over her shoulder where it should have been, her body following as she completely turned around. Indeed, it was gone, not just the portal but the entire door. For a second she just looked at it, tilting her head and wondering what it meant, but as time went on and the sounds of the others in the 'room' began to reach her, War's heir finally turned back to take the rest of everything in, for now quiet and observant. She did, however, take a few more steps forward, out of the immediate safety of where the doorway had been, looking around at the others with a curious look, taking note. It seemed neither Vicky nor Aisa had made it to this end -- a curious development, but not one which disturbed her. They would be fine on their own, of that she was certain. It did seem, however, that Cym had somehow made it to this side, possibly having left before Aisa.
"Cymi~"
Flicking her eyes to the others she was talking to, Eris tilted her head slightly, smiling prettily. Deceptively so.
"Who're your friends~?"

Mot's eyebrows raised underneath his hat. This winged ghoul, whatever she was, certainly had a pair of vocal cords on her. Her.. er.. enthusiasm was noted, though he wasn't sure if he could call it a good thing. "You sure got her riled, Levi." Mot smirked, his head turning as he heard another pair of heels come forward.
Oh no... it was the winking lady.

Danny waited anxiously for a response, and got one of the canine variety. "No, No, Mr puppy no home." Oh. Well she swore it was his voice, but since his voice was telling her he wasn't, he must not be home. "Oh... okay puppy! I'll come back later when you are home!" Maybe she would bring Ignis! They could have a puppy playdate and she could touch those ears...
Well now that that was settled, Danny turned back to Colette, only to find her remarkably close. Danny didn't mind though. In fact, it was kind of pleasant. Normally she was the one getting yelled at for invading peoples' space. Maybe now she could invade Colette's! Danny resolved to this, and stood even closer to Colette. "Well yeah no one's going to eliminiminate me," she said, tripping over the word, "Is there someone here to el-"
Her words were cut short by Cymbeline's destroy-the-hunters'-maker rant. Danny liked this Cymbeline ghoul. Like a lot. With each word, Danny gave a shout, louder than the last. "vile human HUNTERS"
"Yeah!"
"rodents who scurry"
"YEAH!"
"GRIND HIS CREATIONS UNDER MY HEELS."
"YEAH! GRIND THE CREATIONS!"
"PUNISH HIS CREATIONS"
"Yeah!, she said, and then whispered to Colete, "Oh I like this ghoul."

Vaith felt the force of gravity topple him over, dangerously, the mysterious female now identified as Xiu. He couldn't see her but he sure could hear her. Thankfully, the mess of bustling people had him landing against several others with rude looks casted upon him, his unsteady feet gaining footing as his hands wrapped around the curve of Xiu's back in an awkward hug. He was returning the hug instead of simply frowning-- it appeared that something had changed already.
"Looks like you're alright too." is ninja outfit was still there, a little worse for wear, but the reaper's slightly muscular frame with his thin black sleeveless top and armor, he looked remarkably different from his usual concealing cape and full length outfit.
"Although I wish you'd check before attacking-- Unless you have a plan to hold onto me before I fall off that ledge?" His husky whisper echoed softly through the noise, his hand about to give the demon a stern whack-- until he realized there was a hat.
In the brief glow, his grin widened from side to side. "Damn, you look good. Are you wearing high heels?"
(Was her chest flatter? sad He was around Mai and Aurian too much!)
