Alex's reaction to her companion's demise visible on the camera, the Joker picked up the mic for a third time. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Just too slow... Sun Wolf," he said, locating her picture in the mass of them, "Too slow, too slow, too slow! Now, how about you go ahead and take that little token back to Gossamer, who's still with Sapphire, unless I missed my guess, and get her down here! And remember: there's plenty of invitations that were sent out. SO MANY PEOPLE I can kill waiting for her to walk in. Not that I mind murder, but it would be nice to see her again. Tell her, Rosie dear." The clown put the microphone in front of Rosie's face.

Tim immediately froze in his spot from the sound of the manic laughter and all too familiar voice. His expression became one of complete sincerity and concentration as he looked over the park from where he was positioned. So there were people down there, and the Joker was one of them- like usual, he was being his homicidal self. The last thing Robin 'missed' from his verse was dealing with this madman. Tim focused his attention again on the two figures.

Rosie's eyes widened a fraction as he moved the microphone in front of her. She didn't know what to say, and she didn't really want to say anything. At least nothing that was directly for Gossamer. Still....she knew what this was all for. So she couldn't freeze up now. Drawing in a quick breath, she smiled and tried to switch into a different frame of mind. One that wasn't thinking about how she was drawing her mother into a death trap. "Yeah, Mommy. I'm starting to think you've forgotten all about me."
Alex just stood there as the Joker addressed her and stared down at Roxanne...her fists shaking at her sides. She should have been interested in how he knew her, and Sapphire, and....all of it really. But what was striking her the most...was him basically blaming her for Roxanne's death. Not being fast enough to save her.
On the rooftop, both women had turned their attention towards the Park as Joker's voice rang out again. Both women's eyes widened in horror, but for different reasons.
Sapphire was more horrified at the implication that Shadow was dead. And Gossamer was horrified....hearing Rosie's voice over the speaker.

Meanwhile, a pickup truck was screaming down the road to the Joker's carnival. Arell was behind the wheel alone. Hex went back to his home time the day before, Dundee knocked himself out on a low ceiling on the circus train and C.J. stayed back to make sure he was alright. When word was coming around who was in charge, Arell had to go, his cigarette leaving a vapor trail until he parked across the street from the carnival, about a block down from where Sapphire's crew was at.
He got out and ran to Alex. However seeing Roxanne made him almost drop his cigarette.
"Damn . . . I was really hopin' to stop this before somethin' bad happened. Has anyone else gone in yet?" Arell asked, working to hide his thick Cajun accent in order to be comprehensible.

Joker pulled the mic away from Rosie, and started laughing again into the microphone. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You see, Gossy? You'd better hurry, before more people pay for YOUR failures! There's... two more people still inside. Sun Wolf and... Arell..." Joker had referenced the plethora of pictures he'd gotten from Cobblepot again, and found a corresponding shot. "I know, you might not care a whole lot if they DO die, but your little co-conspirator Sapphire Spider might have a few objections. She'd probably be a lot more cooperative if you just got a damn move on and walked in!" Then he noticed a figure that had frozen not terribly far from where Sapph and Goss were. Just his bad luck to stop JUST before leaving the camera's view. The clown didn't need a picture to identify him. "Do my eyes decieve me? I think we have a Bird Wonder here too! WELCOME, ROBIN! I'm pretty sure I can accomodate you tonight, too. Just remember to say 'hi' to Jason Todd for me when I'm done with you... Heheheheheheheh..." Putting the mic away again, he chuckled a little more. "Hehehehehe, the pictures were a very good idea, Rosie. I think I'll triple your allowance this week for it."

Arell smirked. "Come get some, clown boy." he growled, stomping out his cigarette after smoking it down to the tip. "Jesus, dis sonuvabitch is a slick dude." he mused, pulling out another lucky strike. "Want one?" he offered Alex. He stuck one of the smokes in his mouth and sat down on the ground, carefully loading his 12-gauge shotgun, careful not to damage either smoke, just in case Sun Wolf wanted a smoke.

Dammit. Tim stood from his crouch and looked around. Cameras, it had to be cameras. The Joker liked starting up these things well prepared... no use in waiting in the shadows now. There was nothing more to achieve up on the roof anyway, and it would have only been a few more moments before the bird was spotted from entering down into the park. Still, Tim didn't much appreciate the surprise welcome, nor the clown's little quip about the Robin before him. Even so, he kept as straight and serious a face as possible.
He zip-lined to the base of the building and approached the edge of the park. The two others the Joker had mentioned must have been in a different part of the site, since Robin couldn't see anyone from where he stood. Tim took out a bar and collapsed it out to it's full length, revealing it to be his bo-staff. He didn't know what to expect from here on in.

Alex just stared down at Shadow's form as the Joker continued to talk. By the time he was done, she continued to just stand and stare. "No...but...I might take you up on that in a few minutes." she replied quietly to Arell. Finally, she moved. She walked back over to Shadow's still form, and began unhooking the cloak from her costume. Then she draped her cape over her face and torso, and picked up the woman to carry her out of the park. "I'm...I'm not leaving her here. I'm taking her out of here...I'd suggest you do the same." she said as she began walking towards the entrance of the park.

Arell got up and holstered the shotgun, putting the cig he saved aside for Alex back into the carton. "Fair 'nuff. Reckon we oughta get a plan together befo' we get into anything." he said in his rough Cajun growl as he walked out to his truck.

"Oh....I have a few ideas..." she replied quietly to Arell as she walked. Anger clear in her voice.
Rosie sighed and tried to relax as he turned the microphone off again. She smiled at him again though, after he said that he'd triple her allowance for the week. Honestly though...with everything she knew he was going to do tonight...she should get a LOT more than just extra money. "I told you they'd come in handy." she replied.

"If any involve puttin' a load a' buckshot in that rat's head, I'm happy t' oblige." Arell growled, walking over to the pickup. He usually hated violence, but he heard enough stories about the Joker to not mind putting a bullet in him.
He walked over to the beat-up Chevy. He turned on the CB radio he had in the cab, scanning channels, waiting to hear the Joker come on the airwaves or through the loudspeaker systems.

Alex nodded. "Just....don't go into any buildings or anything. I'll be back." she said as she continued towards the entrance of the Park. She was going to take Shadow out of this place. Maybe put her on the rooftop Sapphire was supposed to be stationed on. They could take her and put her somewhere after all of this. Maybe not buried...Roxy would haunt them if she knew they left her face like this. Cremation might be the better rout.
Speaking of cremation....when she got her hands on.....oh, she wanted to spontaneously combust someone.

Tim walked past the entrance of the park, carefully observing the tents and buildings that were lined along the wide carnival path. No surprise that it was an eerie place to be walking alone at night. He looked ahead, only to see someone new appear into his sight.
"Hey-"
He continued walking, his route taking him straight for her. She was... carrying something. Something roughly the same size as her... immediately, Tim held back at making a face. He could tell from a distance that it was another person.

Alex looked up as she heard a voice call out, pausing briefly in her walk. She seen someone walking down the path towards her in a....rather bright colored costume. She frowned and proceeded to walk until she was directly in front of him. She glanced down briefly to make sure the cape was still covering most of Roxanne, then looked up at him. "I'd just turn around." she said quietly.
