Nodding, Amy's tail coiled around her body, listening as wind picked up and shivered throughout the area. An ear twitched, nose wiggling before she rose suddenly, tail flipping for a second to feel around before she knew the direction she needed.
"There's a storm coming." She called out, suddenly her voice become strong and low. "We will not make it back to Yasashii before it hits. We need to find shelter, I know of where it is." She may be blind, but she could be useful. The vixen was very observant, and had a good memory. As long as Iah didn't stray her from her path, she could make it to shelter. She was confident enough about that.
"If you need anything, I advise you gather it immediately."

“It’s getting a bit cold isn’t it?” Iah replied. He had often lived in cold places when he was younger so he actually enjoyed the wind and coldness. Hot weather almost killed him. He noticed Amy was feeling slightly cold and closed his eyes urging the wind to blow a little more to the left.
As a shaman with magic powers he had a little bit of power over the elements. As such he could predict the weather most of the time when he wanted to, and had a little influence over it, such as keeping the wind from blowing on them. He couldn’t get rid of it completely, nor would he want to, “Should be a rather decent storm. Should be good for the environment hasn’t rained in a while. I shouldn’t need anything; we just ate so we can go a couple of days before our next meal if the storm turns rather bad.”
Iah actually liked storms, just standing in the rain and wind, although since he was a shaman he wouldn’t actually go out this time as it was a winter storm. Didn’t want to catch a chill and get sick. “So I guess I’ll follow behind you”

Nodding, the vixen flicked her tail, a movement that seemed normal to another, however it was her way of testing the winds. It was gone, good. Perhaps she could smell her bearings. Raising her head, it took a minute for Amy to figure out where she was exactly, tail flicking against the ground as she padded forward. Her tail swayed, tapping items near her, at times her body would change direction according to what her tail tapped.
Here and there she paused her movements, ears lowering and head raising, paw sometimes stretching out to feel the side of a tree or stroke a rock. She didn't stay still long, always padding off quickly in a new direction. After what seemed a few minutes, maybe an hour, she stopped, flicked her hears down and lowered her body, and slipped into a bush.
Behind the bush was a small cave, one that could easily fit a small family. Slipping right to the back of the cave, she pressed against the walls and curled against the cold rocks, tail flicking under her muzzle and resting there as her head claimed it for a pillow. She waited for Iah, hoping he had kept up.

Iah waited watching as Amy got ready to lead them to this shelter. Staying quiet as not to distract her from what ever she was doing. He wondered briefly how hard it must have been having relied on sight most of her life and then having it suddenly taken away. Sure she had mentioned several foxed had helped her in getting used to her new life but it still took a lot of strength just to keep on going. It definitely caused his heart to hurt when ever she said she was weak and useless. He didn’t think he would be that confident. He would like to think he would be but no one ever really knew until they where faced with it.
When she began moving he removed himself from his thoughts and began to follow behind her. She seemed to recognize where she was going and he kept a mental note of the locations as well just in case there was some reason they needed sight to get back, not that he thought Amy wouldn’t be able to do it. He had complete confidence but he was also cautious and liked to have a back up plan.
For a second he had lost Amy but a quick search for her scent and he realized she must have disappeared behind a bush. Slipping behind it he came to the cave as well. “Well I made it, it looks like it’ll be a nice shelter” he spoke up. She probably knew he was there from his movements alone but some times it was better to put in a verbal confirmation as well.

When she heard his paws her tail twitched in greeting from the darkness, the white flickering and vanishing behind the shadows. Her muzzle rested on her paws, ears flipped backwards as she heard the wind pick up.
"I hope so. I stayed here awhile ago." Back when she was with Karoko. Back when they were together. Again, another sting, though it wasn't for the fox himself. It was more because of the reminder that three times she had been rejected. Three times, and hopefully no more. She was done putting herself out there. She'd stay the single woman that would raise the tribes kits and teach them how to hunt without using just their eyes. She was fine with this, she told herself. She wasn't, but the lies comforted.
"Please keep us and our tribe safe, Goddess Dahlia." Amy muttered under her breath, dark paws crossing as she attempted to get comfortable, failing.

Iah turned towards the storm again not to worry about it really getting them, after all weather was considered an element and Iah had a little power over it. He turned his head back towards amy and listened to her pray for a while. A times she caused such a weird feeling in his heart, and at others a since of familiarity of like how hopeless he used to be before he grew up some time mentally during his stay with the tribe.
“You know when I was little I didn’t really think I would amount to much. I was rather quiet and a bit mute and I always hid behind my twin sister. Which looking back at it now wasn’t fair to her, I forced her to try and be normal to protect me. Its just as a little kit the other foxes used to really um… bully me” Iah stated looking out at the rain and wind which had picked up. “But during a storm I would sneak away and wait until the wind really picked up and scream my feelings out to the world. I’ve always like storms since they could hide the real me. Its funny and a bit frustrating some times the way life takes us I suppose”

She was quiet as he spoke, listening gently. A smile touched her lips as he shared his story, head resting quietly. It was a warm feeling, someone tell you their personal story. It drew a bond, she believed. For once, she felt like sharing, ears flicking in thought.
"I used to be shy." She was still slightly timid, but the years of rejection and abuse had toughened her considerably. Her mouth tightened, it was obvious she rarely shared her story. "I was always shy. My first mate abused it, and when I grew sick and lost my eyesight he abused my trust and left me for another woman. I was shattered. I barely managed to stay alive, unused to my blind state. I met a man named Boniface and I fell in love. He taught me how to "see", for he was blind too. However, he did not love me and I ran again. I was too timid, unable to do anything but run. I joined Yasashii, and fell in love, yet again. Tabby Cat. He vanished one day, and we've never seen him since." She took a shaky breath, head turning to the side, away from Iah.
"Then I met Karoko. He..... I joined Yasashii as an escape, honestly. I wanted somewhere to belong. I was too busy trying to hide to realize that it wasn't evolving me. He showed me love, and I felt so happy. I was so loved, and he fixed that broken girl I was. Then, he too left. I broke. I almost left Yasashii, almost even ditched my best friends. Kithara took me aside one night, in the middle of a storm." She smiled fondly, mouth forming a soft smile.
"She told me to cry. To cry and scream and let it all out, letting the rain wash my tears and the storm to silence my screams. I ended up here after, and slept here for a few days." That was when she started devoting her faith to Yasashii, truly accepting her position and home.

Iah slowly turned his attention away from the storm when Amy began talking to him. He kept silent for the most part afraid that if he voiced anything the spell would be broken. A warm feeling settled on his heart at the fact that Amy had felt he was worthy enough to be talking about her past to him. He had known it wasn’t as rosy colored as some of the luckier modifoxes and he secretly thanked her for trusting him enough. However his happy state was short lived as Amy continued on. It was really unfair. Amy was a wonderful person.
He briefly recalled Tabby Cat at least look wise however back then he was dealing with a crush between Terra, or at least what he thought was a crush and trying to talk Embry out of her advances as well. Embry was a sweet girl and they where very close friends but Iah hadn’t really understood love at all that time and he didn’t want to crush anyone’s heart. He was just way too weak willed back then. An unfortunate side effect of hiding behind Zillah was that Iah hadn’t developed as his own person. Then he like Amy had come to Yasashii and when he started going out on journeys to see his friend Terra he started to grow.
There was a few moments of silence between them as Iah thought about what Amy had told him. He hopped that there was some one out there who could stick by her and not just leave. It truly showed a sense of character that she could let herself move on again to love someone else and the poor girl still thought she was something worthless. “Yasashii is a good little tribe its definitely brought together and helped its members.” Iah started. “Thank you for telling me that Amy, I hope that I never have to break the trust you’ve placed in me for telling you that. You know…. No its nothing” Iah trailed off shaking his head. He really wanted to tell her that he hoped she would find that special person who would see her and remain with her however perhaps this wasn’t the time.

The silence was healing, in a way. She took in a deep sigh, content and yet agitated at the same time. It felt good to admit her past, yet at the same time it reminded her of her failures, of he inability to be loved. However, she had decided she would move on from there. It was just not meant to be. While it hurt, she would live her life.
As he thanked her she smiled, nodding gently.
"I trust you. I doubt you will abuse it." Something about Iah was calming and honest, something she trusted. She was tempted to thank him, though she stopped, blind eyes narrowing in thought, a habit from her past.
"How is Terra?" The way she asked was not as if she washing askin a fox how their girlfriend was, as many often used when speaking of the woman to Iah. Unlike most, she did not jump to conclusions as quickly. Iah had previously said that we're only friends, and she had accepted is words. Still, she was curious, briefly wondering what it was like to have a close friend. Her closest friend was Kithara, but she saw her everyday. What was it like to be away from your close friends?

Iah gave a smile again and stepped away from the entrance of the cave. While he liked being out in the storms and watching them as the Senior Shaman and the only one with any training it wouldn’t due if he got sick and couldn’t help the others. He was getting a bit cold which would make him more susceptible to getting sick.
He nodded towards her assumption of it. He wasn’t one to abuse trust easily. In fact he made it a practice to never do so intentionally. His friends were all precious because he knew how fast other foxes could turn on you.
Ah the dreaded Terra question, although he knew from the way she asked it wasn’t as if she was asking how his ‘girlfriend’ was.
“Hmmm well I would assume she is doing well, I haven’t left the tribe in a while so I haven’t really talked to her. Last thing I had heard was she was having children again.” Iah stated his tone dropping suddenly. It seemed like everyone he knew was having children, His sister, and his good friend. He never really thought of kids before but seeing all his closest friends happy made his heart realize perhaps he wanted his own? However like he had told his brother in law Iah wasn’t really the type to have a one night stand unless it was for a really good reason, like they couldn’t have children with out him helping or something like that.

Kids. Her ears flipped backwards suddenly, claws extending and dragging against rocks. She had decided a long time ago that she would not wait for her "special someone" for kids. Why? She didn't have one, she had decided. She had mistakes, she had men that were there to remind her that she shouldn't rely on them. Hell, women didn't need men.
"I..." Suddenly, she felt wrong. She felt as if she was about to admit something horrible, something disgusting. "I spoke to Kithara." She blurted. She hadn't told the tribe, she hadn't admitted it. She refused. "Kithara agreed, and the next breeding season I will be leaving the tribe for a time." She suddenly realized how it sounded, head jerking away. Her voice grew tense, eyes stinging as she felt water rise. It hurt, knowing she had to resort to this, but it wouldn't hurt once she had what she wanted.
"I will be seeking a partner for a night and intend on becoming pregnant." She refused to move her head back in Iah's direction, pressing herself away and into the rocks. "I do not care if I have one child or not. I intend on bringing back to Yasashii a child. I met a woman before that offered, she told me she would want nothing to do with the kid and would let me raise them in Yasashii." Xiu Mei, a woman that did not want kids for any normal reason. She wanted to piss off Exodus, her boyfriend, and that was all.

Iah walked over to Amy at first a little hesitant but as he got closer his steps grew a bit more confident. Something about amy going out and having what other foxes often referred to a crack breeding made something about his heart hurt but he could also tell that she had put a lot of thought into this.
“There is nothing wrong with wanting children. I think it’s very lovely you want to bring someone into this world and care for them. I’m sorry circumstances didn’t allow you to have them with a loving mate. The Universe works in strange and cruel ways some times. I’ve seen some of my close friends with children and they always look so happy and content. I believe you’ll be an excellent mother” Iah pointed out with a smile knowing she couldn’t see it he leaned forward and lightly brushed her cheek to convey they same emotion as the smile.
He wasn’t sure how he felt about the whole having children to spite some one else. However he knew at least the children would feel love from Amy and they wouldn’t have the negative emotions of not really being wanted. He also knew that most of the people in Yasashii would also show the kits affection. He would and he was pretty sure Embry would as well. It would be a bit sad to see another close friend have children, but iah knew he might never have children and as long as he got to see his friends happy and play with the kits he would be fine in the long run.

When he moved towards her Amy twitched, expecting him to chastise her or yell. Instead, she heard his voice come out calming, not hinting at a bitter edge she was expecting. He spoke, surprising her as he brushed against her cheek, feeling the smile.
"It's okay. I've long accepted I will never have a mate. I love children though, and do not need a mate to have them, so I refuse to let my dream to be a mother die too. " She didn't want to lose both, so she was happy when she met a Phim that offered to bring babies to her. She could raise them or it on her own, she had the tribe to help her.

He knew she had expected some sort of reaction when she twitched, but that was fine. Amy had told him expecting the worse. However Iah would be there for his friends even if he didn’t always agree with their choices. He would support them. It wasn’t his job to pass down judgment or anything like that.
“I wouldn’t say you’ll necessarily never have a mate. After all, the world does surprising things. However I find it admirable that you’re still going after your dreams and not just waiting for life to maybe come to you” Iah pointed out. “I’d be glad to help you in any way that you need when the time does come for them to get here”

Amy didn't particularly like what he said at first, ears flipping quietly before she shrugged. She hadn't liked that at all. She didn't expect to find a mate. She wasn't as delicate as before, she was hardened and had baggage. She politely nodded, smiling at the offer.
"They will definetly need a male figure in their life. I wouldn't mind if they had you to look up to. " She sounded slightly nervous. It was a big request, to basically be the father figure of kids without being their father. She wanted her kits not to either hate men for her own shaky background with them, or her sons to grow up unkind and rude towards women. She didn't want to raise the copy of one of her exes.
