"What kind of experiment?" I ask, with a hint of fear in my voice. I've heard the horror stories before about what "experiments" might be. As I notice Tellat's reaction, I gently rub he back. "Don't worry, Nero's a good man, he won't do anything to harm you. He's like me, we just want to make sure you're comfortable and warm." I say to her softly.

Shi'ita formed the faintest form of a blush, as he had for a second gone partially into a happy-mode. However with the mask obstructing the view of most of his face, it was not possible to see. "That seems idealistic enough to content me for now." Shi'ita said. After a bit, he tried standing again, before attempting to walk closer to the bars near the edge of the cell, near the female in the cheetah mask, and the guard who said he would see what he could do to get him something sweet, potentially candy. "Why fore did they place masks on us?"

I blush under my mask and smile at Jasmine's comment of me being more "gentlemanly" than that and quietly whisper, "I try to...because there aren't enough anymore."
I begin to growl again through my gritting teeth as I consider what sort of "service" Tellat has had to go through as I find myself clenching the bars in anger again and snarl at the guards,
"No human being deserves that vehement treatment, and you aren't trained to do something someone forces you to do, scum! You aren't trained to have your body violated!!"
I look down at Tellat and her slight fear of me, and the fear and petiteness of her makes my heart swell and reminds me of my little sisters. Tears begin to water my eyes and make my throat a little choked up as I say, "No one deserves being a slave of unspoken horrors, especially...especially poor, poor innocent girls...poor beautiful, broken girls..."
I begin to break up a little and slide down again, my head hanged in despair as I reflect on my beloved sisters...the beloved sisters and mother taken away from me. Hearing "the Elixandre" and "experiment" adds more salt to my wounds and tears me apart inside. It is all coming to me...

Tellat nods, but still seems unsure. Upon Nero's rant, she becomes frightened and tries to crawl away from him. You figure that it was his tone of voice that scared her.
Shi'ita:
"They told us they're for 'control,'" the right guard replies.
Nero:
"It's not my wording, man," the left guard says. "It's Lord Zander's. Talk to him about it."
"Ma', you 'kay?" the middle guard asks as you slump down.

Shi'ita looked at the guard, but could not understand what it meant still. Control? What kind of control? They surely didn't control ones moods, and they didn't seem to control one's feelings...the paranoia feeling was beginning to shift his moods again as the only logical 'control' he was coming to was forced actions...where they would be forced to do things against their will or to knock them out if they did things that they didn't approve of. However, because he couldn't figure how any of that was possible through the masks, the paranoia feeling was fleet and left.

I slightly shake with my holding in sobs of great pain, and say in a shaky voice, "As though you really care if I'm okay...you mindless drones. You...you act like you're concerned about us? Then what is this inaction and not bothering to even resist for justice's sake? Oh Lord..."
I gently shake my head wearily, then I lift my head slightly to look at Tellat. Seeing her so terrified, so helpless...this is my breaking point. The floodgates open in my eyes and glimmering tears slightly show through the eyeholes of my mask. I look at the girl with longing for her trust, deep pity for her poor soul...
"Just like them...just like them...oh, God..." I whimper weakly through my tears, "them" being my sisters and mother who were slaughtered before me and I put a lifetime of protecting for them and still failed...

I keep my one arm gently rubbing her back, and put my other on Nero's shoulder. "I know it's hard... but realize... they are people too, in many cases, the soldiers and guards are told to do their duty or watch their family get killed. If they resist, they will be killed, and we will still be in here. Please, be patient, we can make it through this. Do it for me... do it for her..." I say, shooting a quick glance down at Tellat.

Jasmine:
Tellat quietly hugs you, trying to stay warm.
"You're nice," she says.
Her voice sounds rough in your ear, like she rarely uses it and/or her throat is dry.

I nod slowly at Jasmine's empathy for the guards and heavily sigh.
"Yes...well...I'll try. I don't know if Tellat really cares about me...but that's okay...I'll keep trying. I am just a...bas...just a..."
I lean forward through the bars, putting more of myself on Jasmine.
"I'm just a stupid b*****d after all..." I murmur quietly.

"Don't say such things about yourself!" I reply to him. I get close to his ear and whisper a message that is barely audible. "I'm a resourceful girl, I'll find a way to help us out the best I can. I might not know you, but I prefer to see you as a friend. If we work together, we will make it out of this, I promise." I say.

"I'm creeping you out? You're not very good at this kind of thing are you?" I continue. "Unless this is actually a prison, but why would I be in prison? The most I've ever done was disorderly conduct. Which where I come from is no big deal! In fact it's concidered an honor to get drunker then me!"
