 Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
"Perfect!" Lillian exclaimed. "You're really doing amazing. I couldn't have done it better myself. I think with practice, you'll really be able to stay in that form for much longer. The tail might be a bit off, or the spots at first, but really, that was great."
It was true, she couldn't have done better herself. On her second so called lesson in the woods, she hadn't done it perfect on her own. Maybe with a teacher she might've been able to, but she didn't have one so she wouldn't know. "Great progress. Now then, let's talk about where you want to practice. You could practice in this room, but you'd need to be careful since a lot of students pass by this way and it might get risky. We should have a back-up area. Where were you thinking?"

She was so happy that this was working. Hopefully she would feel ready to tell Lucas soon and she would not need to keep lying to him. She hated lying to him about where she was going. She had been mad at him for doing the exact same thing. Though this was to protect him from disappointment right? She was having an internal conflict about her lying being just or not.
Fionna nodded and said, "Yea, if I used this room I would also perhaps have to practice the silencing and locking spells." She thought for a moment about the other spots in the castle that she had thought might be good places to practice. Places out of the way where people rarely or never went. "I was also thinking that Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom and the Trophy Room might be possibilities. Nobody likes Myrtle and everybody tries to avoid there, and people only really go to the trophy room for detention." She thought these were reasonable.

"Hmmm." Lillian considered this. Neither of them were bad ideas, however, "The trophy room is filled with valuable cups and prizes though, and I know Fionna would never break them but an unbalanced snow leopard might." She smiled and thought about the other option.
"Moaning Mrytle has made herself quite a bad reputation. There does sound like a perfect place to practice, you can come here every so often, though I just want to tell you in advance not to go to someplace like...the astronomy tower. Though students don't go there often, you could lose your balance and fall over the side, over the battlements and we don't want that."
She said the last bit just with a touch of seriousness on Fionna's behalf, if she'd gotten hurt while practicing, Lillian would never forgive herself.

I hadn't thought of that." She could imagine it now in her head. Herself as a snow leopard sliding across the trophy room floor and running into one of the cases causing a whole shelf of trophies to tumble to the floor and break. Wouldn't be a very good idea.
Fionna nodded. That was a scary thought. Falling off the tower. She would be sure to practice someplace with four walls and closed windows. "Of course." Fionna told the Headmistress. She wouldn't want that at all. That would defeat the purpose of even doing this. She would never risk something like that when there were other places to go to.

"Great!" Lillian said, glad that Fionna had agreed and listened so well. "Well then, I'll see you next lesson and, what's that?" She spotted the bruise on Fionna's elbow. "Oh, from when you fell, here." Lilian took the elbow in her hand and tapped it lightly with her wand, The bruise shrunk slowly until it was the size of a comma and then vanished.
Lillian stood up, work here done. "If your practicing goes as well as it did today, and you practice often, then you will most likely see Lucas as a werewolf next fullmoon. I'll be there the first time, but I'm sure you'll do fine."

More thankful than she probably knew. This meant she wouldn't have to make something up to tell Lucas. "Thank you Headmistress." She said with a smile. It was a small thing, but quite big for her.
Fionna was surprised by what the Headmistress said. Next full moon? Would that really be possible. Fionna hadn't thought it would be for a long time. She was truly surprised. Fionna was determined to practice every spare moment she got. This also meant that she would most likely be telling Lucas very soon. "That's great news!" She exclaimed to the Headmistress. Even if she didn't manage to be ready by the next full moon hopefully the one after that would be for sure.
Fionna picked up her bag and said to the Headmistress, "Good Bye." She turned and headed out the classroom in such a cheering mood that she was almost skipping down the hallway. Everything was going so well now. Lucas was not mad about the kisses, and she might get to comfort him at the next full moon!

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя Lucas was confused like he never had been before. He couldn't sleep or eat or think about anything but that night when he was only 10. At such a tender age, his life had been ripped apart- literally. He could remember, if he thought hard, about getting dragged out of the woods alone. He couldn't ever forget the searing pain. But now that he thought about it, wouldn't someone as hurt as he was get carried or levitated out? He couldn't remember a stretcher. He'd been so blinded by recent events that he doubted he'd ever know what exactly happened at the end of that night...unless he did the stupidly brave and asked Rhiannon.
He had debated with himself about asking, even begging Rhiannon to tell him. Yet considering who and what she was, it wasn't likely she'd tell him a thing. He almost resented her to be frank, for letting him live. For keeping him alive. After all, now that he was a beast, what was the point in this life? He knew how much he'd wanted to die right after the bite that changed everything. But she'd saved his life, done what any sweet 8 year old would have done. It was hard to picture her as sweet since he only really knew her as a cruel 14 year old. An 8 year old her was difficult to picture...but he couldn't wait anymore. He needed to know what had happened.
He ran around desperately, searching for her, and found her at last not too far from the Great Hall, next to the empty classroom she'd kissed him in. His first kiss. He still regretted it, but not as much. It wasn't that he disliked her any less, he just had a hollow feeling when he thought of her. If what she said was true, and no doubt it was it had been truth syrum, then he owed her his very life. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the empty room and was pleased to find that she didn't protest. She looked at him curiously at first, she wasn't going to be easy to convince. So he begged. He began to grovel at her feet, to hold her hands in his and held the tears back in his eyes. His throat tightened, voice choking, and she started her story.

Rhiannon wasn't sure how to feel anymore. She was confused, her head was spinning, and she was vomiting again. There was a burning sensation in her chest and she couldn't eat. Images of her young self swirled in her head and for a moment, just a moment, she wondered why she couldn't have stayed so young, beautiful, fresh, and innocent. Pure. Were the monsters the ones that were wrong? Was she a monster? Was Lucas a monster? Had she been wrong to rescue Lucas? Maybe she should've let him die. It would've made things less complicated in the present time, anyways. Was saving a half blood a crime? Her deepest, darkest secret was nothing now. She'd just revealed to the stranger, Caiden, Lillian, Fionna, Al, and Lucas, of all people. Lucas knew. She'd almost forgotten herself, she'd kept it hidden for so long. First Azkaban, and now this.
She swayed drunkenkly down the halls when Lucas walked up to her. It was him, this time, who dragged her aside. She didn't protest, she was limp and too weak. They were in a completely deserted classroom. "What?" She said with as much malice as she could muster up. Lucas's eyes looked darker than before, he looked like he was going out of his mind with worry.
"I need to know." He said in a voice of forced calm. "Please...please tell me. I need to know what happened after I was bitten unconscious. What...what did you do? What happened? Please, I'm begging you." Her expression hadn't changed and Lucas knew it would be hopeless if he just asked. He got down on his knees and held her hands in his, he looked into her cold icy eyes, forcing himself not to look away. For once, he didn't see her as ugly right now. She'd saved his life and he was desparate. He just needed to know, he couldn't stop dwelling on memories and nightmares until she did.
"Well a bit of begging never hurt." She said coldly. "Fine." Everything seemed clear, but jumbled with the lies she'd told herself. Yet here he was, that boy from what...6 years ago? A bit more, a bit less. Staring her in the face, alive. She remembered it like it was yesterday really. Lucas's limbs being so askew, his blood soaking the earth. "I can remember your friend's blood covering the ground. I waded in the pools of it to the only boy left stirring. A few others might have had chances, but most had throats ripped out, as I'm sure you remember too." He gulped. She took that as a yes. "Limbs were torn off and you couldn't tell who's blood was whose, if that limb was an arm or leg." She knew she was being gruesome, but he asked for everything. So she'd say it as she remembered it.
"It was wild bloodlust. And pretty little innocent, naive Rhiannon was soaked in it. As you know, I wasn't harmed only because I was one of them. They were my family, really. I'm not a werewolf, but the pureblood werewolves i was related to. But I lifted your pain-crazed head and held it. Your back was mangled, your arms, your legs. We were in the depths of the woods so no one would hear me if I screamed for help. I don't know what possessed me to do it, sheer stupidity, sheer innocence, stupid kindness, but I decided to bring you to safety. The men and wolves were off to some other town. I'd stayed behind. They'd never know, I thought, and sure enough, they never did.

"I kept my arms wrapped around your back, your head lolling on my shoulder. I tried to carry another one. That Montgomery boy, but I couldn't manage it, I was only around 8. I walked as if we were hugging, your legs dragged across the ground. I spotted something glowing in the full moon and saw the white flash of bone. You started to shiver and I kept my cheek against your blood stained face to keep you quiet. No, Lucas. I didn't kiss you if that's what you're wondering. Your first kiss was me of course...but it wasn't then. I was pretty sure I knew your name since he other kids had been screaming it. Your blood-curdling screams were horrific. You, no doubt, couldn't see me before, I had been hidden in shadow. I dragged you further and pressed on until we were at the edge of the forest. Dawn would come pretty soon and the darkness didn't seem so...heavy. I gently let you go on the ground and looked over your mangled form. Bites and gashed covered every inch of you and I can still remember where the deepest of cuts were. Where you no doubt have scars. The deepest was on the back of your neck, where a werewolf had tried to rip out your throat."
She had been glad he was alive, but she wasn't sure why. Why should she care? She was covered in his filthy blood and didn't mind. Why? Was it possible she'd meet him again? Was she wishing that she would? "I sat there for a while, not doing anything but sitting next to you, watching you breath and give a moan of pain every so often. I talked to you until the sun rose. I comforted you. But you weren't awake, you wouldn't remember. Then, people started to come. I ran off towards my home, not too far from there, and never looked back. That's it. The carnage you already know. To this day I've still never seen anything worse, and I've been to Azkaban. At least people don't get ripped apart there. But that's all that happened. Oh, and the werewolf that first bit you...the rumors are true. The werewolf that first contaminated you, since many did that night, more than one bit...but the first one was Fenrir Greyback. He was the leader of the pack, of course he got first bite." She let go of his hands and lifted up his chin a bit. "Just think. Lucas, the brave bold gryffindor owes a criminal his very life for something she did at 8 years old. I...." She stopped in her tracks. Dare she say it? Then it slipped out before she could stop it. "I'm sorry I couldn't save your other friends..."
He looked up at her and she saw the shock in his face. She felt that it'd be best to leave now before she said something else she'd regret. It's not that she lied, it's that she hated sounding so cheesy. She kissed Lucas's forehead and opened his collar a bit and saw the back of his neck. "Yeah. After all these years. The scars still there. Goodbye, Lucas." She darted out of there, and again, didn't look back.

sιχтнуєαяgяуƒƒιη∂σя He listened with rapt attention as she spoke, hanging onto her every word, clinging on to every syllable she uttered. He bit back his tongue at certain moments when images flashed by, he knew he'd asked for everything, but the gory details he could be spared. The mention of his dead friends was just a touchy subject. Yes, he'd gotten over it, but he didn't like to talk about it if he could avoid it. It had truly been his fault and he deserved more than the pain he got each month. He deserved death for it, as they had gotten. And then- shock. Rhiannon. Rhiannon...apologize? He never pictured those two words even in the same sentence unless 'would never' was in between them. It wasn't possible...but it had just happened. He was still as she kissed his forehead and he flushed and closed his eyes when she looked at his scar.
"Thank you." He breathed heavily, keeping his eyes closed and his face still a bit red. "I owe you...well...everything." He turned around to look at her, he didn't even find her ugly anymore. But rather, she had saved his life. She was still a hideous monster. But she'd saved his life. But he didn't need to look into her dark, icy eyes because as he turned around, she had already vanished. She hadn't even heard him speak, she was gone from the moment she'd apologized and said goodbye. He sat there for a couple minutes, processing all that he'd heard. He felt a bit empty, glad to know everything at last and yet lacking that feeling of being even. She'd messed with his life before, messed with Fionna's, but hadn't done him as much harm as she'd done him good. Unless he truly died at her hand, she would always have done best by him. Truthfully, he would feel better owing Caiden his life. Rhiannon...a unicorn killer, someone who had lured people, unaware of what she was doing, into the woods to be bitten, who'd witnessed Lucas and his friends get mangled...Now, as he sat in the empty classroom, he missed the company of Fionna. He wanted to sit with her under the beech tree, playing his guitar. But people were sleeping...it probably wouldn't be best if he woke anyone with playing and singing. He hated too many people staring, and rest assured they would if he woke them all up. So he took a leaf out of the Headmistress's book and took a piece of parchment from one of the empty desks, a spare quill and ink he found in the room. Empty classrooms always had extra supplies. And he sat down and wrote: Fionna, I'm so sorry to bother you this late. If you're too tired, it's fine. I just feel like I need to talk to someone. I asked Rhiannon about what had really happened. She told me after much pleading and begging, but finally I know. It makes sense, it all adds up. Still, if you're not busy, maybe we can take a nightly stroll? I know you're a prefect and I know it's getting late. If you prefer not to, I completely understand and I'll be up to the common room in a second. If you don't meet me at the entrance hall in 10 minutes, I'll assume it's a no. Love you, Lucas.
It took him a few tries but he charmed it into going to the Gryffindor common room to find, possibly wake her. He hoped more than anything that she'd show up, he just wanted to wrap his arms around her and never let go. To feel her warm embrace, tell her everything. He wanted her to know everything about him, and he wanted to know everything about her. It was that feeling of just love, where you never thought you could ever see someone enough.

She couldn't wait to show the headmistress the improvement she had made and hopefully hear that she would be allowed to go with Lucas, supervised of course, on the full moon. She was in a great mood because she had told Lucas and he had been ecstatic about the idea.
She entered the room to find the headmistress not here yet. In her excitement, Fionna had probably gone faster than she had anticipated, so she just jumped onto a desk and sat waiting for the headmistress.

 Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
After sorting things out with Kierra, the new Ravenclaw, Lillian walked downstairs. She went at a fast pace, excited for the lesson. Truth be told, Fionna was a quick learner and it was great to see her students learning to quickly, knowing she was doing a good job with them. All she wanted was to teach them what they would need to know...and more. And she hoped she was doing her job. She hoped this was allowed, but she'd looked up all rules and it didn't go against any, heck she'd written a fair amount of the rules, edited the horrible ones from Voldemort's time, so she would know.
She entered the classroom to find Fionna already there, looking excited. Her smile was enough reason to continue. "Great, well no time to waste, let's see your improvement!"

She stood there for only a moment when suddenly a snow leopard stood in her place. Everything was getting much easier for her after all the practice. It was really paying off. Fionna looked at the Headmistress and tilted her head not really sure what she should do.
Fionna twirled her tail and bit while she waited for an instruction. Fionna loved her tail to be honest it was something weird and new and she loved making it move. She had actually chased it once because she had always wondered what that was like. It was actually quite fun! She had caught it too.

 Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai
Lillian grinned when she saw the snow leopard waiting for instruction. There were only a couple things wrong really, but she noticed how the tail was perfect, and that could be tricky. Her spots always tended to be a little bit different, once they got the hang of it and she transformed the same each time, they'd register her with the Ministry.
"Excellent job. Let's see you walk around in that form, running if at all possible." Lillian waved her wand and all the desk were suddenly lined against the walls to give her plenty of room as the giant snow leopard she was. If she lasted a while, it was entirely possible, probable even, for her to go next week's full moon.

Fionna had felt herself almost lose control and change back but she was able to stop it and she remained in her animagus form. She sat down on her hind legs and looked up at the headmistress waiting for her to ask her to show something else and hear how what was.
