"Heh," she smiled lightly, "Yeah, you've proven it, definitely. And I should trust you, it's just difficult to. For anyone, not just you, so seriously, try not to take too much offense. I just have a uh...well, a rather bad background, to say the least. I'm sure most thieves have trust issues, me especially..." she said the last part softly, almost hoping he doesn't hear it.

"Well why is it difficult? I mean did something happen in your past that caused this problem? I mean I know that my past holds many dark secrets. Believe me I know how that works. Why don't you try opening up with me." I asked handing her the bandages so she could take care of her wounds, and she didn't feel uncomfortable.

"Pasts aren't cookies, you know, you can't just split 'em and share them with a friend." she started wrapping her leg in bandages, wincing a few times when she had to move it, "Though...I guess technically you did kinda save me. Kind of." she emphasized, "I would've been able to take them all down, just probably not do it and live considering these wounds." she half-mumbled. "I don't know how much I could really tell you though. It's not really a fun thing to talk about...and where to begin?" she shook her head and sighed. "Mmm, well...I was with my sister a long time ago and we went to the park. There were these people that were really nice to us. I liked them a lot, but my sister didn't trust them very much. They bought us ice cream and treated us pretty nice, and asked us where we lived. I...I told them and then they...they pulled out a gun. Owned by demon-slayers. Said they'd shoot us if we didn't show them to the house. I didn't want my little sister to die so, we showed them." she shook her head, unsure if she should tell anymore, not really wanting to, "To make a long story short, my family died, and I killed the stupid demon-slayers. First time I ever demoned-out, too." she scratched the back of her head again. "Sorry, I'd really rather not say any more than that."

"No no, that's fine. You shared enough. Am sorry that I made you relive that event. But you know you was only little back then, you didn't know that there were evil people like that out there. I mean they acted nice, just to get something out of you. Me on the other hand. I don't act to get anything out of it, just that I act nice, because that's my character." I said as I pulled up seat next to her on the tree. "you know that am not like that right? Am a really nice good guy, unless you hurt my friends, or family then I change." I said laughing a bit.

Ketsu shook her head, "Yeah, I know you're nice, if you were like them you'd have let the wolves kill me. But I know I'm to blame. My sister told me not to trust them, and I did anyways. Even if I was little, I know how to listen." she said, "Thanks though."

"Ah, a little numb, and cold too." she said, relieved to be changing subjects. "The bleeding's stopped though, thanks for that, by the way." she looked at the lake a moment longingly, remembering how warm it felt, "You don't suppose the water's very clean, do you?" she asked, knowing it probably wasn't.

"Your welcome for the bandages. Actually I think the water is clean. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be." I said looking around the lake. "Theres no dumbs near by to plute the water here. You know that theres this rumor that there is a city under there." I said looking back up to the skys.

"A city?" Ketsu laughed, "That's ridiculous, you have a better chance at finding a vampire hugging a sack of garlic down there than finding a city." She grinned, "Race ya to the bottom?"

"Wait when could thiefs start breathing underwater?" I asked laughing at the idea of racing to see if there was a chance of a city in the lake.

Ketsu laughed, and walked towards the edge of the lake. Her leg was hurting, and her eye felt even worse, but she was stubborn and determined to win this race. "Hurry up and get over here, or I'm gonna start without you!"

"Shouldn't you be resting. I mean you did lose a lot of blood. Also you still didn't answer my question. How would you be able to breath?" I asked walking up beside her watching her leg.

"Psssh! I'm fine." she lied, "And besides, it's not like we'll actually find something, so we shouldn't be down there long, right? Just hit the bottom and come back up, and-" she paused, "And what do you mean how would I be able to breathe? What about you?" she laughed, "Don't tell me you're secretly a mermaid, too!" she said sarcastically.

"Not that I know of. But I think i might have something that would allow us to spend some more time down there. I just have to look through my coat real quick like. Besides didn't you lose something here when we was fighting that water demon?" I asked her as i started looking through my coat.

"Huh?" she blanked, "Ah! That's right, my watch!!" she face-palmed, "How could I could I forget about that thing? It's made of gold and diamonds!" She changed form into a wolf again and trotted around the area, smelling everything in sight. She whimpered a few times, worried as she couldn't catch the scent of the watch that would be paying her rent for months. Ketsu stopped when she made it back around to about a few feet from where she started, spotting something shiny. She changed back to her human form and picked it up, a small diamond lodged in the grass. "Oh no..." she groaned, "It must've fallen in the water. And it's damaged now, it's gonna be worth even less..."
