Arah giggled as she looked at the vixen, "No I am not sick. But I do want you to be able to have some fun Naomi." Her tail wagged behind her as she smiled, "How about we do something today?"
"What did I like to do as a kit...." She thought about it, "Have you ever played hide and go seek with your sisters? We could play that, or we could play tag." The more she thought about it the more excited she became."

"I played tag, but never hide and seek. I heard of it but.... My sisters could have fallen and gotten hurt in the various spots. At least in tag I could see them, in hide and seek they could hide somewhere dangerous and..." Her face became paler than usual, looking absolutely horrified.
"And then they could..." Images of her sisters in peril made her jerk her head to the side. Suddenly, she had to find them. They could be playing it right now with their friends or mate and be hurt....

"Mm..." Arah looked at her, "I didn't mean to upset you Naomi." She frowned as she leaned in and nuzzled the other vixen. "Please do not be sad. You're sisters are fine. I do not think that any of them have been hurt at all. You are worrying yourself for nothing." She licked her cheek. "We can go check on them if you like. I wouldn't mind meeting them." She smiled softly.

At the lick Naomi glared at her. "Worried? I w-wasn't....hurrrr." Just a faint look now, she scuffed softly, shaking her head. "I wouldn't know where to look, the two ran off recently. I'm sure they'll visit sometime."
Another pause. Back to the game idea.... "Do you still want to play those games?"

Arah smiled at her, "Yes I would like to play a game." Her tail wagged behind her as she giggled, "But I am sure that we could find your sisters...with the two of us looking I think that it was possible." The vixen looked at her friend happily. "Which game would you like to play in the meantime though." She cocked her head to the side as she grinned widely.

"The one you mentioned at first." Raising her head, she smiled softly. If it would please Arah, she wouldn't mind playing games, even if she wasn't the type to play much.
"Hide and seek, was it called?" She added, flicking her tail around her front paw. "I wouldn't mind playing that."

"Alright then. I will be the seeker then." Arah's tail wagged behind her as she grinned, "I will close my eyes and count to ten while you go hide. Then I will come and try to find you so you can be it." She giggled as she crouched on the ground and started to count.

Naomi darted, scampering right down the stairs. This was her childhood home, she doubted anyone could find her if she really tried. Quickly, she headed for the basement, nudging the warehouses door open in the corner and scampering down into the dark basement, padding over to a sink with a cupboard, opening the cupboard, and slipping in, flopping behind a trashcan inside. Once pleased with her spot, she flopped down and folded her paws, waiting for her...
Her.... friend? Why did that make her twitch? Did she perhaps... not want her as just a friend? Perhaps... Though...

"9...10" Arah called then opened her eyes and looked around. She knew that she was at a disadvantage because Naomi had grown up in the building, and Arah had only spent minutes inside. But that made little difference to her. The fun was in the finding, the harder the find the sweeter it was when the vixen was caught.
"Come out, come out wherever you are...." Arah giggled as she skipped down the stairs, trying to follow her nose to where her friend was hiding.

Content where she was, Naomi squirmed slightly to get more comfortable.
What was it about Arah that made her happy? She wasn't sure. Naomi wasn't the people type, or even the type to join in a game. Hell. This was confusing, and not only that but worrisome. Maybe she was broken? Or sick? Maybe she needed help..
At the sound of Arah's voice, Naomi's tail twitched once. Hrn. She was close to the basement.

She looked into the doorway and spotted stairs. Would Naomi have gone down them? Wondering that to herself, she debated whether she wanted to go into the creepy hole, then once she got over the initial fear of it the vixen started her short journey down.
"Nao?" She called, her tail twitching behind her. Arah didn't like it down here. It was dark, and scary. And there was something touching her tail. "Eeeeee!" She screamed as she jumped in the air, bolting back up the stairs in a panic.

Hearing a scream, Naomi ripped her way out of her cupboard, darting straight for the stairs and up them. She found her way to Arah, approaching the vixen with narrowed eyes and flicked back ears.
"Arah?" She whined gently, nudging the vixens shoulder. "What's.....wrong?"

Arah was breathing heavily as she looked at Nao panicked. "There...there...Mm..." She swallowed hard as she shivered, "It was dark...and scary...and something...it attacked my tail fluff." Arah wrapped her paws around her tail and drew it closer to herself, petting it lightly.
"I don't like it down there Nao...can we just....stay up here? Please?" She looked at the vixen pleadingly.

Looking up at the female, she moved closer to her, nuzzling into her side despite the blush on her cheeks. "It must have been a rat." She mewed. "I thought I killed them all." However, she nodded back, tail flicking over the vixen to comfort her.
"We can stay up here, I'll make sure no rats attack you again. Promise."

"Rat?!" Arah looked at Naomi horrified, "There are rats in here!" The young vixen shivered involuntarily as she thought about it running across her tail. "I would ever much like to stay up here." She blushed, feeling silly about the fact that she was scared over a smaller creature.
"I'm sorry...I'm not normally such a coward...I promise I will get better."
