"Everyone in here smells weird."
"How can you tell?" Iris muttered. She didn't want to raise her voice too loudly. "You're a ghost. You can't smell!"
"I can so." Adele shrugged, sticking her tongue out at Iris.
Iris groaned, settling back in the seat she'd chosen. "Why am I here..."
Adele paused for a moment, then sidled next to Iris. Her feet rose up off the ground, allowing her to hover in midair next to her sister, and Adele leaned in closely. A little too close to Iris's face for comfort.
"What are you doing?!" Iris quipped loudly, forgetting herself for a moment.
"Kekeke." Adele grinned broadly.
"What."
"I think the smell's comin' from you, actually!"
Iris shrieked. "Why, you miserable, soulless wretch, why can't you leave me alone?!"
Adele remained silent, slinking back behind Iris. Iris quickly paled as she realized everyone was now staring at her.
"I hate you, Adele," she murmured.

I have received word from all roles. I will now start the first morning. The guests carried on with their idle chatter for a while. Gradually, they left the dining hall and ventured into the rest of the manor to locate a room. The first ones got first choice and from there, the others made the best choice they could. Room one had Wallace, Legault and Vaida. Room two had Oujay, Enailios and Sunil. Room three had Jaren, Nasir and Dietrich. Room four had Blossom, Sue and Ninian. Room five had Ephraim, Innes and Vanessa. Room six had Aruna, Rin and Iris. Despite the noisy antics that came from some of the rooms, eventually there was complete and utter silence inside the manor as everyone drifted off to sleep. Not even the storm could keep them awake after their tiresome day. Each rested with hope that they would return to their normal lives the next day. That was not going to happen. As the sun rose into the sky, blood-curdling screams awoke the entire manor in a panic. The guests rushed about, wondering what it was. The screams sounded like they had come from outside, so the guests gradually all gathered together out there. Debris was scattered everywhere, several trees toppled over. The storm had clearly been quite fierce, likely in the hurricane levels. As they arrived, they could see a very distressed maid being comforted by one of the other servants. She was clearly the one who had screamed. The butler was already on the scene, standing beside... a dead body. It was the dead body of Nasir. A large tree was on top of the body, which was completely soaked. The butler turned to the group of guests, once it seemed that they had all arrived. "It appears he left during the night under the delusion that he would make it through the storm. A grave underestimation, I should say..." Which he did say, as he glanced around the property at all the damage and mess the storm had left behind. Even the tree that had fallen on Nasir as well as its stump were covered in broken branches. "The poor man was crushed by this tree. What ill timing for it to fall... In any case, it seems this was an unfortunate accident." He looked towards the group. "What do you all think?" (Note: When you see the butler say this, take it as a cue to make accusations if you have any.)

Legault had been in a foul mood before the discovery of the deceased Nasir. Why? He'd had Vaida as a roommate. Granted, at least he knew her as opposed to some of the other people in the manor...but that really wasn't much. This was the terror that had fashioned the meatballs and drove terror into the hearts of both her enemies and her allies.
Now, however, Legault felt his foul mood turn into frustration and pity upon seeing the corpse of the man he'd just been speaking to last night. Both emotions were directed at the late Nasir. He'd clearly just been foolish enough to go outside during the storm and fate had seen fit to punish him for it. "Tch. I think the poor man got pinned down by the tree, not much more to it."

WallaceAfter waking up and pulling on some clothes Wallace heard screams coming from outside, he had rushed downstairs and outside. He looked at the corpse of the man he had seen during the meal last night and at the tree. "Why would the man want to go out into the weather in the middle of that thunderstorm? He seemed smart enough not to do something so foolish." He rubbed his chin in thought.

If all of yesterday's event wasn't hectic enough, later that evening where they got sorted into their rooms was just as bad. Having to share a room with Innes and Vanessa....convincing Innes that sharing a bed with a woman (before marriage) was a bad idea and took....Probably hours to shove the Frelian Sniper in a bed of his own before Ephraim himself settled in one of the other empty beds...Although....he swore he could feel daggers staring him down in his sleep (After they all had their warm shower/bath of course, NO NOT TOGETHER YOU PERVERTED MINDED PEOPLE)
Waking up to a horrifying scream the next morning wasn't exactly a pleasant thing either. Ephraim sat up, paused for a few moments then jumped out, grabbing a shirt before heading out. (Well he's already wearing pants). By the time he arrived to the scene, maids were crying and a butler was over a body.
Things were explained blah blah blah, kinda lazy to type things out. Ephraim feels sad, but questioning, MOVING ON.
Something wasn't adding up. "Why indeed..." Ephraim responded, following up from Wallace's question. "It just doesn't make any sense..If I recall...Nasir is a Laguz, is he not?" The lancer placed a hand on his hip while the other one stroked his chin, pondering the thought.

After dinner, Ninian somehow ended up sharing a room with Blossom and Sue, a fact she found fortunate. Some of the other rooms sounded noisy, but their room was fairly quiet, and Ninian somehow managed to sleep, despite her unease.
Of course something would go wrong.
Ninian shot awake the next morning at the sound of a scream. Wearing only her teal dress--which she had slept in--Ninian paused only to grab her scarf before poking her head out of the room and following everyone else to the source of the scream. Outside, the storm had clearly done its damage; debris lay everywhere and several trees had fallen.
Underneath one of those trees was a body--one of the guests, completely crushed. Ninian clapped her hands over her mouth to stop herself from screaming; she thought she was going to be sick.
The butler asked them what they thought. What was there to think? This man--Nasir--was dead, killed by the tree. Ninian agreed with Legault and Wallace--there wasn't much more to this than that, yet why would Nasir have gone out into the storm in the first place? It seemed so foolish. Ephraim mentioned Nasir's being a laguz; Forcing herself to look at his body, Ninian saw he had light blue hair--was he a dragon laguz? If so, how could one so powerful have died by something as simple as a tree? It seemed so strange, but . . . accidents happened. It was awful, but most likely an accident. Right?

For future notice, I will not be awaiting a reply from everyone on what they think. I will be giving people a half a day to a day to post if they have an accusation to make. The butler nodded. "A curious decision indeed, but for whatever reason he had, it did not do him well in the end. In any case, though it be but an accident, I must go to the nearest village and fetch the local authorities in order to clear up this mess. Until this is taken care of, I must ask you all to stay, as the authorities will likely need to question us all. You will remain welcome in the manor and can expect meals to be served. I will likely be back by nightfall." The butler bowed and began to walk inside to prepare the carriage. Special roles can begin contacting me for their part.

Bozo was scared throughout the night. It did not help Bozo at all that Bozo was forgotten when the rooms were divided amongst all the humies that had come during the night, so Bozo actually didn't get a room. Bozo was sad over this, because Bozo didn't like sleeping on wooden floor. Luckily for Bozo, Bozo was allowed to nap with the Funny Smelling Man, though Bozo could not stand his smell for very long, as Bozo's escapades with the funny drink earlier had made Bozo feel strange. Bozo slept on the end of the Moss-Haired man's bed.
Bozo slept a long time, hiding under blankets during the night. It wasn't until Bozo heard a scream in the night that Bozo woke up.
The last humie in their room was on the ground outside. He was sleeping under a tree. Bozo thought it was strange.
Bozo bounced towards him, landing next to the humie's face. Bozo nudged against his cheek, carefully prodding him with Bozo's body to make him open his eyes. He would get a cold like this!
Hey.
Hey humie.
Wake up.
The other humies think it's strange for you to be here.
Come on, wake up.
Hey.
Hey.
...wake up?
...please?
...please wake up humie?
Humie?
You will get the sneezies.
Come on humie.
...humie?
Continuously prodding him didn't work. Bozo got scared as Bozo's eyes got fuzzy from some eye leakage.
Humie? No...don't tell Bozo...
Have you become a stiffie?
Humie!
"Boyoooo~!" Bozo closed Bozo's eyes as Bozo had tears leak from Bozo, still trying to make the humie wake up.

Poor Sunil's outfit had to be washed and treated after getting the food and hot stew stained into them, but at least they were nice enough to lend an outfit... a butler-esque outfit. Felt more like a waiter's clothes, but they surprisingly managed to fit. The maid that had bumped into him (and also got soaked), at least tried to help get him dried though. He would have to thank her later.
He retired to his room at the night, going hungry because the entirety of the meal ended up on his clothes. His two roommates didn't say much. In fact, they felt like they were almost... invisible. Weird. Were they ghosties? For safety's sake (and because it was more comfortable this way), he got himself a corner in the room, shifted to his beast form, and went to bed.
He had only awoken once that entire time, to someone's scream outside. The cat groggily opened his eyes, wondering what the heck happened (he was in such a nice dream too... cakes and deliciousness food everywhere for him to eat after his dinner had been ruined the night before). Since it was daytime now, he shifted back to his humanoid form to check it out.
Some people had already gathered around what had caused the scream. And there was someone crushed under a tree. As a Laguz, Sunil could recognize that the deceased was also a Laguz. Had the man tried leaving in the middle of the storm?
.... The number of Laguz in the area had dropped by one now... The cat wasn't sure if the snake woman could even be counted as a Laguz, since he had never seen her kind. If she didn't... he was the last Laguz standing.
Sad kitty is sad. cat_sad

After the chat with Legault and Nasir, Enailios went to retire into his own room. He didn't mind that one of his room mates was a laguz. Rather, it seemed to be an interesting experience, since he didn't know much about these people. He had the brains to not call Sunil something other than a fellow person, since he didn't know his names. He figured if he called him a freak, that would just spell death for him.
The night had also gone fairly well, though a scream ruined that sleep he would have gotten. Getting up from where he was, he wandered towards the scream, also seeing the crowd gathering. Something was wrong for a scream. And yet the results seemed to be fitting.
Just the strange thing was how the person died. A tree? That storm didn't seem to be strong enough to knock these trees over...did we miss something? The poor fella. Who knew that one of the people you would be talking to would end up dead soon after.
And the butler heading off to get the authorities seemed even stranger, but the body did need to get investigated. It was just sad that this guy was dead. It was one less person that he would end up knowing. "...This just seems too strange."

Blossom hadn't exactly expected to wake up to this. The night had been uneventful, overall - sharing a room with Sue and Ninian led to a gratefully small amount of hijinks distracting her from her sleep - but awoke with a startle to a scream that echoed throughout the manor like a siren.
Hair still loose, Blossom rushed out to join the others. Pajamas weren't important when there was an emergency, after all! Her curiosity and panic turned to horror when she got outside; the Hero clapped her hands over her mouth, squeaking a little as she stared. Everything was white noise, buzzing in her ears as she stared at his prone figure under the tree. The butler said something about authorities and questioning, but it all mostly went over her head. All she could focus on was hey Nasir is dead.
"...I-It was just an accident, right...?" she managed to squeak out after a moment, not directing anyone in particular.[[She is wearing shorts. |:<]]

After hearing all the raucous, he followed his other two roommates who he didn't really interact with much after the little feast everyone had. Oujay wasn't sure how to interact with the laguz and the beorc in the room. Starting a conversation was definitely not his thing so he just kept quiet and the other two didn't really seem to say much either.
Now back on topic, he followed Sunil and Enailios to where they heard the scream. Reaching the scene, he saw the reason. Someone was dead. He couldn't believe it. An accident occurred and he was crushed by a tree. The hero was speechless, but he usually doesn't say much anyways. It seemed to be such an unfortunate accident.
However he a voice speak up about the strangeness of the situation. He looked towards the man to see it was the man that was his roommate. Strange? The word made the swordsman think as he turned back to the body. "What do you mean by that?" he spoke up in reply Enailios' statement. "It's just an accident...right?" he didn't really direct it towards anyone, but it made him curious to see why it seemed strange. It's not like it was planned and someone killed him...right?

Jaren Degriess was terrified.
He'd been stuck in a room with a funny smelling guy all who must have been really thirsty because of all that water he was drinking! Jaren had tried to ask him to share but had gotten a bottle thrown at him for his trouble.
To make it worse there was a demon at the end of his bed. It had nested in the hair of the drinker but had soon given up it's evil roost to nap at the myrmidon's feet. Glaring up at him with those adorable eyes and fluffy ears, he saw through it's act.
It wanted his soul.
Jaren bravely tried to stave off sleep but eventually the warm comfy blankets claimed him. His last thought before falling asleep was that he would surely wake up dead.
Instead a scream woke him up and he panicked darting out side in his underwear, there was a dead guy under a tree. It was clear what had happened.
"THE TREE COMMITTED MURDER, STAND BACK EVERYONE I'M A HERO"
Jaren then spent the next while securing the crime scene, which really only consisted of him trying to arrest a tree.

 Just her luck.
Even trying to be a dutiful maid had landed her in hot water...literally. She could still feel the occasional pain from her burns, fresh from the stove. Thankfully, the staff was more then willing to help patch her up. They were, however, a bit...adamant about the whole thing. Rather then continue trying to explain to them that her eye had not, in fact, been burnt to the point of turning red. The elderly woman that attended her, though sweet, was a bit...lacking upstairs at old age. And so she found herself in a new uniform, a package filled with a nightie passed down from her daughter, and a room to share with two others.
Speaking of which...They all seemed so...Exotic and refined. The cleric failed to notice Iris' mutters and strange quirks, seeing the lady-like posture and dress. She was able to get riled up! Show emotion and stand her ground in an argument! And Aruna....She had a sense of elegance to her. Rin admired her way of dress, the way she carried herself in her speak and pose. She had done her best to do whatever was instructed of her, having passed herself as part of the help once more. But really...
She felt inadequate the whole night. Though it was the furthest thing on her mind the next morning.
A scream pierced the air, catapulting the poor cleric from her sleep along with the others. A grisly sight was there to meet them...The splattered remains of the guest known as Nasir underneath a fallen tree. Some were quick to question if it was an accident or not...Rin couldn't care less...There was a man dead, that's all that mattered for now. He needed to be sent, or at least giving a brief remembrance for now. [Surely someone must have known this man...] Which was what she certainly planned to do...
If not for the boy trying to arrest the tree on top of the departed.
"W-What...What are you doing? Please...Get down! You're making a spectacle of the whole thing...! This isn't very respectful to the dead sir...!"

"Well if he is- or was- a laguz, then that would explain why he thought he could handle the storm." Vaida said, and she moved out in front to look at the body. She had expected to leave first thing in the morning in order to get back to her mission, so she was fully dressed minus the armor. After swatting the little puffball away, she knelt down by the body and after a brief pause to think, moved the bands from the head, revealing the mark. Being a commander in the army, she felt entitled to be above having to not touch the body. Of course, she would scold anybody else who did. "Well, he's got a mark... I don't know too much about shifters, but I do know their marks are distinctive-- WOULD YOU SHUT THE BLOODY HELL UP, YOU LITTLE MAGGOT?!"
She clenched her fist and glared furiously at Jaren. Him thinking that he was some investigator was ludicrous, but even worse was that he was horrible at it. She growled and jolted to her feet. "You there! With the feline ears!" She blurted, pointing at Sunil. "Come here and look at this man's marking and features! What kind of shifter is he?"
