He picked an apple to aim for, instead of just going under and hoping for the best. It was slowly drifting to the left, so he'd account for that before he tried to go after it. He wondered if his new technique would do him any good, but figured it'd be a waste of time to do it every single round. He did a quick look around his barrel, and realized a lot of apples were too big for his teeny tiny mouth. Then he tried to eyeball everyone else, not wanting people to notice that there were indeed apples to big for his mouth, cause that was seriously not cool. Either way, he looked back at his target, and shot his head down. Like an Ekans, he had captured his prey effortlessly and elegantly. Wait...wasn't elegancy for ladies? That's not cool either!

Heartened by his success the last time, Eon looked down at the bucket before him intently, marking the locations of the apples that he could easily see. There were a few half-submerged and others that floated gently across the surface. He waited for the water to settle, and when it did it was back to the water for the Pikachu. It was more than a little disconcerting to keep plunging one's head into water over and over again but nothing more than Eon could handle. He opened his mouth wide and aimed for the apple, the slick surface of the fruit slipping slightly but his teeth grabbing just enough of it to pull it out and add it to the rest of his collection. Without missing a beat, he delved back into the water's depths and carefully maneuvered his mouth to the side of another apple. This one slipped out of his grasp, but the Electric Type was one step ahead, using a trick that he had learned and jerking his head back to pull the apple back towards him where his teeth were ready to meet it when it touched his mouth. He stood up again and placed the fourth apple in the basket with satisfaction, he was really getting into a rhythm now.Apples: 4 Sharpedo: 0

DAmon neatly picked up another apple from the tub and threw it back into the basket. Wow, there really wasn't much to do... how long was this competition again? Some of the icy water sloshed into the coller of his costume, most uncomfortably. A few of the contestents were getting an upper hand in the game as well. But most of all, he was quite nervous about if they were going to release a Sharpedo into his own tank. Ah well, just grin and bear it, Damon. Just grin and bear it.

With Aku cheering him on, Jack was on top of the world. Her cheers were muffled beneath the water, but he knew she had not ceased to encourage him, and was able to snag two apples this turn. He returned to the surface, and turned to face Aku, two shining apples sticking out of his mouth, he gave a wave, and put them with the rest. He felt like no one could stop him. Did he even have a weakness? Was there any kryptonite in the water?

Another shiny red apple surfaced and Damon made a grab for it. Triumphantly holding it up, he--oops. The apple slipped and fell back into the tub with two lines of teeth markings shaved into its side.
"Dang it!" The Shinx made another grab for the apple, but it bobbed to the other side of his barrel. All he could do was push it with his nose, or p;ush it away further evey time he bit. This was taking up valuable time.

Jack's luck faded and his mouth roamed under the water, gulping nothing besides...well, water. He wished he could find one. He didn't want to go back up with nothing in his mouth! How unimpressive. He wondered what would happen if he went into the barrel. He knew he had to catch the apples with his teeth, but he kind of felt like going for a swim. That's when he remembered the Sharpedo, and quickly closed his mouth and pulled right out of the water. Then he felt like a p***y for never grabbing an apple, and quickly moved on, not looking back at Aku or anything.

After a minute of chasing an apple around the tub of water, Damon decided to snag the one floating next to it.
"Finally," came his muffled voice and he quickly dropped it in his basket full of apples. Risking a sidelong glance at his competition, he saw that the hamster and his friend had also bagged quite a few apples already. He would have to hurry if he had a chance at this competition.

An extra Sharpedo was released into the tank, and Jack pulled himself away from the barrel before he could get an apple. ANOTHER Sharpedo? Ugh! He realized he was acting frantic, and calmed himself down. He still had kept it a secret from Aku that there were Sharpedo in his barrel. She'd find out eventually, but now wasn't the time. Right? He hoped not, anyway. He looked over, and she was staring at him questioningly, head cocked. What was she thinking? She then turned and saw food, and he smiled. Good ol' Aku, huh?

Damon Equally startled, Damon let the apple slip out from between his teeth. He quickly grabbed at it again before another splash startled him. A ferocious Sharpedo roared and swam toward him with startling speed.
"Aack!" Damon shrieked, dancing away. The oversized fish slammed against the side of the tank, showing off its extremely sharp teeth, before giving up and slinking away.
"Wh--whwhwhwhw--what was that?!" He screamed, cautiously approaching the tub. A ragged blue fin surfaced and the Sharpedo watched him carefully with slanted red eyes, glaring at him maliciously. Damon swallowed loudly, this was going to be tough.

Even with the two Sharpedo in the barrel, Jack wasn't even scurred. He didn't even cur. He dunked down, and brought up two apples. As he was putting them down, he nearly jumped out of his skin. Aku had come over, and was peering over the rim of the barrel.
"Jack! There are Sharpedo in there!"
"I know, I know, don't worry about it, ok? Sometimes they get released into the barrel..."
Aku's mouth opened and she was about to retort when Jack went back under, not wanting to hear her right this second. His head had to remain in the game.

Eyeing the Sharpedo, Damon made a lunge for an apple. Quick as a flash, the shark reared and barred its fangs, shooting forward. Damon cringed and shrunk back, fruitless. Ahaha. He rolled his eyes at the irony. Or was it a pun? He didn't know, and frankly only cared about the incredibly angry Sharpedo trying to bite his head off.
"This... is pretty dangerous, huh?" He said, turning slightly to Aku and his Hamtaro friend, Jack. Yeah, dodging Sharpedo fangs and snatching apples for a silly competition, and then making light conversation about it was totally normal.
