“Let us figure out what to do, Wimbaji.” Shandor answered firmly but gently. He hadn’t grown up here, but he’d lived with his own brand of insanity for quite a while. It had been a self-induced state, one that had helped pull him through hardships in the past, so he could well understand the sudden panic of the others. It was, however, the reality of things. They would have to learn how to deal with it. “For now- try to get by. Let us shoulder this.”
The next lion, Xochipepe, had presented a good point. If their god had abandoned them and the little one was only passing by- they no longer had a god to protect them. They no longer had a god to appeal to for any such protection or future blessings. Perhaps a change in ways would bring about a new god to come to their aid… perhaps it was just the opposite. He couldn’t begin to understand the ways of the gods. Shandor shifted uncomfortably on his paws and glanced over to Ame before giving a careful answer.
“For now, I’ll form a small group of scouts to keep the boarders secured while Ame does some work within the pride-” He glanced to the song keeper, “I can hold my own if there’s trouble. If you keep the lions here calm we can figure out what’s going on and what to do from here…” For now, temporary measures were better than none at all.
He cleared his throat and took a step towards the pride. His voice piped up and his tone evened out. “Listen here- none of us knows what’s going on at the present time. For now- I need any able-bodied lions to join me in keeping our borders safe. Those of you that feel you must leave are free to do so, but those that stay will be safe- I’ll see to it personally. Ame-”, He motioned to the song-keeper, “Will be within the pride if you are in need of assistance. Between the two of us, we will figure out just what happened and what to do. Until then, we must band together. We are a family- muses or not. If we look out for each other the way the muses did, we’ll get through this.”

Fiach let Talu cling to him, listening to the leaders of their pride. This was his home and while he had always felt like a danger to those around him when he had his demon, he didn't think he would even be able to bring himself to leave it. Not unless he had hurt someone. And now that it was gone (Or, at least that what he thought/hoped), he didn't have any reason to go. Besides, someone needed to stick around and protect the pride, didn't they?
He wrapped his paw around Talu's shoulders, his decision to stay made. He looked to her when Shandor asked for lions to guard the borders. "I should help them," he said, leaving it open for her to make the decision. He knew he should keep to his duty to the pride, but if Talu needed him right now...
Euri for certain wasn't going anywhere. He had come to this place for safety, a place where his visions blinding him couldn't cause him as much harm as it could in the roguelands. Only in the most dire circumstances did he need to hunt, and it certainly didn't have to hunt demons here. As long as he stayed away from things that could cause him immediate damage, he'd be fine, and this was the best place for that.
He looked to Lari when her daughter spoke and realized then what the older lioness had been doing. If Hiana had a male here, it would keep her in the pride. But he didn't see the girl in that way, considering he had know Lari's cubs since they were, well, cubs. It was just creepy. He frowned a bit, wanting to give Lari comfort over her daughter's confession to leave, but he felt that it would just make matters worse, so he just continued to watch it play out in front of him.

At least Shandor had answers and reasonable motions for the members of their pride to go through. He supposed there was no harm in scouting just briefly, either, in case there was any hope left for their old goddess to be simply hanging around - there was nothing concrete to prove that she wasn't in the Kizingo'zaa lands anymore, other than everyone's reports of not hearing their muses. But even then... maybe their muses just wanted to take a break.
"Wise words," he nodded in regards to Shandor.
And with that, Memeth lumbered over towards the other dens, where any other Kizingo'zaa members may have still been hiding. The younger, more sprightly ones would be better to send off to scout, he concluded, and so he must stay within the pride to help comfort those who needed it, and keep track of who would still be in the lands to keep him company. After all, Memeth loved having many others in his family, and perhaps there would be some who wanted to stay just for him, too.
