Zone's partner, Juno who usually acts in missions like a sniper would do, moved beyond his limits and saved everyone by being as flashy as he could get. Zone on the other hand, who were used to close combat and knocking out his enemies from the get-go was having a hard time to get near to The Seer. Well what can you expect from a clairvoyant?
It was fortunate though that now he knew who they were up against and used The Seer's own power of prediction to lure him to a corner. Zone purposely moved his punches wilder and faster to prevent The Seer from concentrating on getting longer visions. And as soon as the villain's back hit the wall, The Seer knew what was coming to him.
Zone formed a fist in front of his enemy's face, "You know this is going to hit you right." he punched with his left hand, it smashed the wall instead. A few debris flew, The Seer dogged the incoming fist to his face by moving his head to the right, that Zone briskly anticipated. With his right arm he grabbed The Seer by the neck as soon as he tried to dodged his left fist and performed a body drop to the opposite side, crashed The Seer's back to the pavement and Zone increased his hold on his neck that chocked him until he was unconscious.
It was finished. Finally the long day was over. Zone sat on the ground with his breath heaving. He was exhausted. Then he remembered about the bombs. They weren't disabled yet. "The control where's the control?!"

Juno got there just in time as Zone slammed The Seer into the ground.
"Ooouch...." Juno said, cringing at the sight of the move. "That was definitely painful."
Juno strode over to his friend as he was frantic about the control.
"The control where's the control?!"
"You might've crushed it B." Juno chuckled as he arrive to the spot where The Seer lay in a crumpled unconscious heap.
The two's superiors had not been far behind Juno, and in a confused rush all hustled after the tall teenage boy to find that the villain they were seeking had already been defeated. They were speechless at the sight of the two sidekicks that had managed to save the children along with defeating two particularly difficult villains. (At the time they did not realize that Mr. Good Vibes was waking up and making a getaway, in fact they all had no idea where he had been the entire time. Can't catch someone you don't know you're trying to catch. Later though, it was safe to assume that he'd stolen the missing item. But the boys were not reprimanded for that, it seemed like an inevitable happening.)
Juno crouched down and eyed the villain who's hair was hiding his missing eye. He was itching to lift the orangey-yellow hair back and take a peek, but he did have some respect for privacy so he left it be. However, he did rummage through the inside of the man's cloak to in order to see if the remote was in there however it wasn't.
"Huh, it's not there..." Juno said thoughtfully and then looked around the scene of the fight. And there in the distance he saw it. "Oh, it's over there BB."

((I'm sorry I'm always running into a wall with this...my muse seems to be on vacation. @_@))
Zone stood up and went closer to his friend. His hands akimbo and sighed. He held a blood vial in his hand. He didn't even need this to cause havoc. "You were too flashy," he said to Juno, "you wrecked the place up, I'm glad I'm not paying for the place." He made a fist, expecting a fist bump from his tall friend. "But you did a great job saving those kids." and smiled.
He picked up the remote control and tossed it up in the air, "Care to do the honors?" he said signaling Juno to take aim and shot the control to smithereens.
Their long day had finally ended.
Or so it seems.

"You were too flashy, you wrecked the place up, I'm glad I'm not paying for the place."
Juno shrugged with a laugh. "Eh, you didn't do too bad yourself." Bumping BB's fist with his own and staring at the crumpled man in the dark cloak.
"Care to do the honors?"
Juno did a wide sweeping bow with his arm. "Always." He said with a smirk as his friend chucked the remote high into the air, at which Juno easily aimed a paintball shot at. The remote exploded upon contact with the speeding ball of light, creating a semi-firework of light above them as pieces showered the two sidekicks.
Juno sighed a big sigh of relief. Finally. The day was finally over. After all the running around they'd done and the scolding they'd received. But as he came back to the reality of things, and how the two of them had disobeyed. He saw their superiors coming over to them. And he couldn't quite tell if they were in a good mood or a bad one. He cringed a little as they stalked over to the two youngsters.
"I guess it's time to face the music..." Juno whispered to Zone, still smiling all the way. Nothing could make him feel bad about the good Zone and him had done tonight, especially now that the children were safe. That was all Juno cared about it, even if that meant detention for a month or scoldings or being unable to attain their hero titles until a later time. It had been worth it for him.

Tiny bits of the control fell onto the two sidekicks like confetti with little fireworks from Juno's paintball. A little celebratory cheer for their hard work. Zone smiled, for once his face was relaxed and he closed his eyes for a bit facing the night sky. Those kids will finally be safe. He suddenly felt tired, an assurance that he will sleep soundly tonight. "Is this what the heroes felt on their real first successful mission?" he breathe in deeply while his eyes are still closed and sighed at the thought.
"I guess it's time to face the music..."
Zone opened his eyes and saw one dim star. At the mere mention of the word music, Zone heard Lily's song in his mind. He finally did something right. Was Lily proud of him? Was Lily happy with what he has done? It made him teary eyed, though he didn't notice. "I wish Lily was here." he unconsciously blurted out and a tear fell on his cheeks.
There superiors went to them. Zone cannot make out what they were saying. Lily's song still played inside his head. Until they finally finished talking and said something about their test and their actions. All of their efforts and quick thinking were able to saved a lot of lives even if it was gaudy and boisterous. The superiors tone was angry and he was pointing his index finger to their faces that immediately turned into a smile and a handshake gesture. Zone looked at Juno. "What did he say?"

"I wish Lily was here."
Juno looked at his friend, a tear falling down his cheek. He put his arm around Zone's shoulder, giving him a strong one-armed side hug without saying a word. He wished that Zone's Lily could be there also. He was sure that she would be proud of his friend.
Their superiors seemed to jabber on and on about how bad they'd done and how great they ended up doing. It was a strange one-sided conversation to hear so many terrible things said about them and then to have praise following it after. It was a bit confusing, but Juno was willing to take it.
All he was relieved to hear at the end was that he and Zone had passed. They'd made it. They were going to be marked down as heroes from this day on, even with all the protocol screwed up from earlier.
"What did he say?"
"I think... We're heroes now." Juno said with a glazed sort of happiness over his face. A grin slowly leaking onto his face as he turned to BB, a bit of mischievous also glinting at the corners of his grin. He was sure to get a good night's sleep after being up for nearly two days straight, exhaustion finally finding each part of Juno's body. He leaned a little more unintentionally on his short friend, trying to keep himself up.

The realization about the whole crisis hit Zone, "...oh yeah," he paused "there was a test..." Juno leaned more to him. Clearly his friend was exhausted. He extended his opposite leg to support them both and placed his arm around his tall friend's waist. Zone was exhausted too and was getting weaker by the second. His sudden outburst and running on this day seeped out his energy. This scrubby ex-sidekick wondered if he would take the drug inside his pocket just for another energy boost and he looked at Juno's gratified face. "Nah." he thought and he started to laugh. Zone screamed his heart out "WOOOOO! WE'RE HEROES!" and he continued to laugh again while he began to notice the tears that were now pouring out. "Don't look at me you overstretched beanpole." He finally felt accepted and everything seems to be turning out to be just fine. The storm in his heart was starting to settle down. And he continued to support Juno as they walk to their transport vehicle back to the academy.

Juno was thoroughly thankful that he was able to take this test with one of his closest friends. It seemed to make the entire experience far more meaningful, to share the ups and downs with Zone. But all these things would be contemplated later when he'd gotten a full night's sleep.
For now, Juno was slowly drifting off into dream land while leaning against his friend.
"WOOOOO! WE'RE HEROES!"
Juno weakly raised his fist to this proclamation. Smiling as his eyes began to close while half walking and leaning on BB towards their ride back to the Academy.
"Don't look at me you overstretched beanpole."
Good thing for Zone, Juno was quietly snoring.
