Daniel Alexander Johnson~ Alex just shrugged when Lee offered to pay. He cooly picked up his sundae and looked around the parlor for a table, ignoring the old-fashioned pictures and decorations that were hung on the walls. Spotting a high table, the bassist started advancing towards it, knowing that Lee and Claire would follow him there. Alex lay his ice cream on the table as he slid onto the diner chair. Listening to an unpopular song end, something that followed caught his ear. ".....Next is a song from Blue Moon....." It wasn't a surprise that an ice cream parlor was playing a song of theirs, so he just leaned back even further despite the fact there was nothing behind him, set his feet on a small pole that supported the table, and raised an eyebrow at Lee and Claire, not paying attention if anyone was looking at them when the song came on or not.

"You sure?" Claire asked Lee as he pulled out his wallet. He insisted, so Claire just shrugged and smiled. "Thank you." She picked up her sundae and followed Alex to the table. After taking a seat she took a spoonful of her ice cream and popped it into her mouth. It was just what she needed after a long concert and yet another breakup. When the man on the radio announced a Blue Moon song, Claire started bouncing in her seat. "This is us, guys!" she said excitedly, knowing that the guys obviously knew it was their song. When Lee started playing the fiddle introduction, Claire's heart sank. This was a love song she wrote while she was still dating Sam.

 James Lee AndersonLee took a seat on the other side of the table from Alex and Claire. He was quiet for a time rolling his spoon over the ice cream as he drifted into thought. He heard the familiar song right away as he placed the first spoonful of sundae in his mouth. Lee looked up in alert as he heard Claire's excited voice. He smiled sweetly staring down again at the sundae in front of him. "Yeah, we're good enough to be on the radio. that must mean somethin." He replied. It used to be odd at first for him to be hearing himself play on a radio or recording but now he came to like it because it reminded him of how tranquil he felt or how much fun he had when he was in the moment of playing. Most of all though Lee loved to hear Claire sing. Lee placed his elbow on the table and let his chin rest in his hand as she began to sing. He stared out the window of the parlor as he listened. He remembered how she had wrote it during the time she dated Sam and his eyes grew distant and he glanced over in Claire's direction. "Things will get better. You'll see." Lee said reasurringly to Claire. He thought about saying 'this song was meant for someone else' but he was tired of thinking about someone else. He always had to see that someone else hurt her in the end. Lee figured she was still hurting and sadly the very song she wrote was making her feel worse.

Daniel Alexander Johnson~ Noticing Claire's sudden change in expression when the song started, Alex took a small spoonful of his sundae, rolled his eyes, and said "Don't tell me you're letting that bast*** win." He leaned closer to meet her eyes with a strong, serious gaze and narrowed eyes as he continued with a stern voice "You shouldn't" before leaning back again and taking another small bite of his ice cream. The bassist usually doesn't do what he just did, but this was the second time she had gotten upset over this, and it was getting on his nerves. Not saying another word on the topic, he sat silently and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Realizing he had only made the mood more serious, Alex actually hoped for once that Lee would cheer it up. Pushing this wish aside, he dug his spoon in his sundae yet again and pulled up a small amount of it before gradually sliding into in his mouth. ((ooc; Lol fail. I changed my post))

Claire straightened up and looked across the table at Alex when he spoke to her. "I'm sorry..." she said sadly. She was tempted to look back down at her sundae but that would just reinforce Alex's assumption. She did not want to disappoint him any more than she already was. "I..." Claire cleared her throat. "No," she said. "I'm not goin' to let 'im win. It's... It isn't him, though... I'm the one that allows myself to fall fer the same type of guy over and over again... I need to stop. I... I should just swear off guys all together. Take a break from datin'. Stop doin' this to my heart..."

James Lee AndersonLee continued listening to their song thoughtfully as he took another bite of sundae. He looked over at Alex in slight surprise when he heard Alex talking in such a tone to Claire. Lee's eyes narrowed towards Alex as he watched Alex move closer to Claire. He did agree with Alex but he just didn't like how Alex was handling it. "Hey..." Lee began to protest but stopped himself from saying anymore as Claire began to speak. Lee listened to her silently and lowered his head to stare down at the table. He felt bad for getting upset at Alex who was just showing concern too. "If you wish to, I'll support you all the way." He looked up at Claire with a small smile. "One things for sure though that you can always count on me and Alex to be there for you." He glanced over at Alex. "Right Alex?" he asked.

Daniel Alexander Johnson~ Alex listened to what Claire and Lee said, but he only responded with a slow nod, ignoring Lee's short protest and uncomfortable gaze. He would just let Lee deal with the rest of the conversation for now. During a few moments of complete silence he looked around the parlor, letting out a long sigh. "Well, on that note, let's pretend that Sam cr** never happened, then," the bassist finally said with a shrug and took another bite of his sundae before pushing it aside. Somewhat changing the subject, he continued as the song ended at last "Alright then, I'm finished. But I assume that shouldn't stop any of you from finishing yours." ((IMPORTANT ooc; I'm going to be away for a week or so for Thanksgiving, so I will not be able to post until I'm back, and for Inner Animal try to make sure that Sakura doesn't miss the meeting. Anyways I actually might be on tomorrow, but if not happy Thanksgiving everyone ^^))

Claire smiled sadly. "Thank you, Lee," she said. "I know I can. You've proven yourselves multiple times already." She then nodded after Alex spoke. "Right... It never happened..." She sighed and continued eating her sundae, attempting to block out the song. The song finished just as Claire was taking the last bite of her sundae. She pushed the bowl toward the middle of the table and looked over at Lee. "Hurry up, slowpoke," she teased.

James Lee AndersonLee felt a lot better that Claire was willing to talk to them about her boy problem. He admired her strength but wished she didn't hide her sadness from him sometimes. He took a few more bites of sundae as they all sat in silence waiting for the song to finish. The sundae was really good and he got over the sudden cold chills it gave him. Lee had stopped eating and drifted off into daydream again when Claire broke the silence. "Huh?.." He looked over at her quickly. His face turned a little red with a blush "I'm not slow, I just don't eat fast like you." He teased back hiding his blush with a hand. He really hoped it wasn't obvious on his face what he had been daydreaming about. He quickly put several more large spoonfuls in his mouth to finish off the sundae but then grabbed his head in pain. "Brain freeeeze." he mumbled as he slumped over the table holding his temples. He pushed the almost finished sundae away with no desire to finish it now. (( occ: Happy thanksgiving and have a good trip. I went ahead and put the inner animal rp on hold for you smile Bye ))

Daniel Alexander Johnson~ Alex watched boredly as Claire and Lee finished their sundaes. "What now?" he asked plainly. Of course he knew it was probably time to go to bed, though. Upon knowing this, the bassist got up, shoved his hands in his pockets, and waited for the other two. He didn't really have feelings for the fact that Claire was strong again because she had gone through this many times, but he truthfully didn't want her to be upset either. He then looked around the parlor with a yawn, noticing how the place cleared up in such a short time. It was probably 11:00PM at the earliest, judging by the pitch-black sky on the other side of the windows.

Claire was yawning as Alex asked his question. "I don't know 'bout you two, but I'm ready fer bed," she said, rubbing an eye. "That concert tired me out." That in addition to being miserable after another breakup. Claire looked over at Lee when he grabbed his head and she giggled. "Press yer tongue against the roof of yer mouth. It'll go away quicker." She smiled and stood up to stretch. "Well... I'm headin' out to the bus and off to bed," she announced. She planted a kiss on Alex and Lee's cheeks before waving and leaving the ice cream parlor. She then climbed onto the bus and made her way back to her room, locking the door behind her.

James Lee AndersonLee gave Claire's advice a shot and it seemed to work pretty well. He moved his hands away from his temples and sighed quietly to himself as he stood up from the table. "Good idea." Lee agreed. He was feeling quite drowsy himself as he threw his trash away. He looked back at Claire as she approached, accepting the kiss she gave him on the cheek. Lee just smiled gently though as his eyes grew heavy with sleepiness. "Sweet dreams." he said. He waited until Claire left the parlor and then made his way out shortly after with Alex. "Well see you in the morning..." Lee said to Alex as they got back on the bus. Lee walked to the back of the bus and disappeared into his room.

Daniel Alexander Johnson~ "Alright," Alex replied casually as Claire and Lee said their goodnights. He then followed them up to the bus and made his way to his room that was, like the others', located at the back of the bus. There was something he noticed on his way out of the parlor, though: The cashier-girl's eyes seemed to follow him every now and then. Alex shrugged this recent memory off and locked the door. He grabbed his sleeping shorts from his bag and changed into them before slipping off his shirt and then climbing into bed.

Claire was changing into her pajamas when she heard Lee and Alex walk past. She smiled sadly and sat on her bed, reaching underneath it for her notebook. She felt the bus start up and glanced out the window as she watched the ice cream parlor pass by. They would be somewhere new tomorrow and Claire was excited, but at the same time she was nervous because that would mean another performance. It would only be the third concert on their tour. Sighing, Claire started writing some notes with her favorite green pen. She had the idea for another song and wanted to write everything that was on her mind before she forgot. Once she was finished she put her notebook back and shut off the light before curling up underneath her sheets. Despite the fact she told Alex she was not going to let Sam win, she could not stop the tears from falling to her pillow.

James Lee Anderson The first thing Lee did on entering his room was retrieving his headphones from the desk where he had left them hours ago before the concert. He sat on his bed for a while without undressing or pulling the covers over him just yet. He never really needed a blanket anyway during the summer nights but always kept it around just in case. The lights were off in Lee's room as he listened to music and looked out of the window at the scenery that raced by. It was comforting to relax after a concert day when everything can get so chaotic and hyped up. After a while Lee began to slump back into the pillow as he drifted off about to fall asleep. The volume was down low on his headphones but enough so he could still hear it. Lee took the headphones off finally and let them sit next to his bed and changed into pajama pants and a white undershirt. He fell asleep quickly after that.
