(I haven't been keeping up with the discussion, so bear with me!)
When I think of High Adventure, of course, first I think of pirates.
But then, I think of high risks, huge falls, and grand payoffs! We wouldn't actually have to "pay" people in the room, just... I guess, roleplay it in?

A Simpler Summary:
1. THE ORDINARY WORLD. The hero, uneasy, uncomfortable or unaware, is introduced sympathetically so the audience can identify with the situation or dilemma. The hero is shown against a background of environment, heredity, and personal history. Some kind of polarity in the hero’s life is pulling in different directions and causing stress.
2. THE CALL TO ADVENTURE. Something shakes up the situation, either from external pressures or from something rising up from deep within, so the hero must face the beginnings of change.
3. MEETING WITH THE MENTOR. The hero comes across a seasoned traveler of the worlds who gives him or her training, equipment, or advice that will help on the journey. Or the hero reaches within to a source of courage and wisdom.
4. CROSSING THE THRESHOLD. At the end of Act One, the hero commits to leaving the Ordinary World and entering a new region or condition with unfamiliar rules and values.
5. TESTS, ALLIES AND ENEMIES. The hero is tested and sorts out allegiances in the Special World.
6. THE ORDEAL. Near the middle of the story, the hero enters a central space in the Special World and confronts death or faces his or her greatest fear. Out of the moment of death comes a new life.
7. THE REWARD. The hero takes possession of the treasure won by facing death. There may be celebration, but there is also danger of losing the treasure again.
8. THE ROAD BACK. About three-fourths of the way through the story, the hero is driven to complete the adventure, leaving the Special World to be sure the treasure is brought home. Often a chase scene signals the urgency and danger of the mission.
9. THE RESURRECTION. At the climax, the hero is severely tested once more on the threshold of home. He or she is purified by a last sacrifice, another moment of death and rebirth, but on a higher and more complete level. By the hero’s action, the polarities that were in conflict at the beginning are finally resolved.
10. RETURN WITH THE ELIXIR. The hero returns home or continues the journey, bearing some element of the treasure that has the power to transform the world as the hero has been transformed.

2. IDENTIFICATION WITH THE MASCULINE & GATHERING OF ALLIES
3. ROAD OF TRIALS, MEETING OGRES & DRAGONS
4. FINDING THE BOON OF SUCCESS
5. AWAKENING TO FEELINGS OF SPIRITUAL ARIDITY: DEATH
6. INITIATION & DESCENT TO THE GODDESS
7. URGENT YEARNING TO RECONNECT WITH THE FEMININE
8. HEALING THE MOTHER/DAUGHTER SPLIT
9. HEALING THE WOUNDED MASCULINE
10. INTEGRATION OF MASCULINE & FEMININE

while that question is up there I just want to say that seeing as how it is still very, very early in the planning process there is no rush to come up with a fully developed plot. That said, I encourage suggestion-makers to think ot on thought or idea that they think would suit the room theme perfectly, even if it doesn't suit the proposed plots.

Even more than one idea is love, so long as we keep it simple for now.

I will start off and provide n example of what i mean:
I would like the room to be medieval. I would like to see a castle be the setting, with dream like surroundings.

I really hope what ever issue you are having is resolved quickly. If it has something to do with the ball and any of us could help you to resolve it then please don't hesitate to ask..


It was resolved quickly, and it did have to do with the ball. Unfortunately I took some advice from someone, and got stuck in a position ( or, well, with a descision I didn't want to make ) I didn't want to be ( but see, I'm psychic, so I knew it would happend and walked into it anyway ). I sorted it out and am quite happy, but I'm a ruminator, so I keep thinking of the way things could have been ( #sappy )

Oh yeah. No, I am happy with the way things turned out, I'm just a very indecisive person, and when I do make a decision I tend to still wonder about what might have been.

Plus, there are plenty more opportunities in the years to come as well.

I'm just imaginative, and that leads me down on the 'what if' paths, that suck me in.

A lot hinges on the main room, but mostly I don't want everyone to get excited about a plot and then have to change it if need be for the main plot. Room plots can be much more flexible, but there's no sense getting everyone invested in one just yet smile
