Suicidesoldier#1 The Living Force Suicidesoldier#1 The Living Force Suicidesoldier#1 According to you. What inherently makes raising the sun and moon "unequal"? What about a genius; a genius is super intelligent inadvertently, does that make them "better"? No, and why would someone being a genius be a problem? I mean hell we are all differant, and even if a person is theoretically "better" in some way that doesn't make them better as a whole or wholly unequal. What are we going to do, kill all the people who are good at things; what about the people who are bad at things? Where does your invisible concept of "equality" even come from? Capability? Cause not for me. People are all equal regardless and the fact that Princess Celestia is good at something and helps a lot of people does not change this. Good at? Good at? She is the only one who can determine whether or not the ponies' food supply will be lost and they all starve to death. She has way too much power to be an equal. If she relinquished control and let the cycle occur naturally, then she could be equal. So? If I was in control of that that wouldn't make be better. Who's to say it can even happen naturally? Who's to say the people want it to happen naturally; what if they like having perfect control over the weather and it's great Celestia does what they want them to do? They seem to be fine with it; like it even. I mean even if she said it on some randomness pattern it would still be her controlling it. It doesn't even matter if they support it. She's a tyrant unless she gets rid of the power. She's powerful enough to automate it. She doesn't want to. How is she a tyrant if she does what the people want? She would be more like a public servant. What, should I give up my intelligence which could make the world better becuase, to you for some made up reason, it makes me "better"? Let's say that with my ideas I could make the world better; should I know go take mercury poisoning to dumb myself down to be "equal"? I mean seriously you're not making any sense. If you have the power to make everything better you do it; that's almost a moral obligation, even, simply throwing everything away is insane. A god who rules over people is not equal to the people if they are acting as a god. Celestia does not act as one of the people. She acts as a god.

She pretty much does what they want, which means it's okay. Raw power has no basis in this situation. You're judging someone off of an innate ability or characteristic someone has and not their actions.

Except that Princess Celestia raises the sun and the moon every day at the whim of the villagers and Kim Jong ill killed millions in despicable ways. The difference being that one is actually to be celebrated; like Martin Luther king or Gandhi. Bringing peace and prosperity to a society is something to be celebrated; if either one walked into my house I'd feel obligated, beyond reason, to treat them like a God, even if they didn't want me to. Regardless of the honor of them coming to MY house. And if they actually are good what's the problem? If you do run into a perfectly benevolent all powerful leader who will do what you want for the sheer sake of altruism and niceness how can you do anything but?

If Celestia wants to help, she can do so as a commoner, not a royal.

Just cause she's called a princess and treated like one doesn't mean she doesn't allow democracy. It's pretty obvious that she does. And what if they want her to be a princess controlling all? Is that okay? If it's the people's decisions-and she is in fact making good decisions- then what's the problem, exactly?
