Why would Mot freak out? He tilted his head, watching the ghoul walk away from him...
He soon was shown why Lizzy was nervous. The legs that emerged from her back was something he certainly had never seen happen before. Most demons or monsters had them out all the time, but to be shown them appear out of nowhere..
Mot was in awe, and remained silent until Lizzy disappeared onto the roof. The boil moved to look up at the ghoul, who was now spider legless.
Mot smiled softly as he stared up at her. She seemed to be expecting him to flip out. How silly. Mot said nothing, moving to lift himself up onto the roof and sit with Lizzy first. "That's a mighty nice addition to all the things that make Lizzy amazing."

Mot thought that she was amazing. Mot thought that she was amazing. Her cheeks turned red as she blinked, staring at the boil as he joined her on the roof. For a moment, she said nothing, chewing gently on her lower lip before tackling him in a hug, squishing poor FooFoo between the two of them, "Thank you, Mot." She paused, sitting there for a moment before releasing him, a smile on her face, "You know... When we came back from the break, I realized that I wasn't the only one with some... Physical changes, but that didn't make me feel as good as one comment from you,"
She giggled, obviously amused, before turning more serious, "Although... After the break, all the Knobs were summoned to the office to sign a paper. An indemnity form... Makes me worried about where the school wants to send us next."

Mot was almost about to feel self conscience about what he just said, seeing Lizzy stare at him and turn red. Was that an embarrassing thing to say? However, his worry was squashed with a big hug from Lizzy.
And so was FooFoo, who made a sound more like a squawk than anything a foxfire should make.
Mot returned the hug, a big smile on his face from having made Lizzy feel so much better about her change. His comment made her feel better than anything else! The reaper swelled with pride, grinning like a child who had just received a gold star from his favorite teacher.
Mot settled down some when Lizzy moved on to something more serious. "A form..?" He questioned. "I heard that field trips are dangerous.. I haven't been on any yet. Is it not normal to sign a form?"

"Well, they never did give us anything to sign before," She stressed on the word 'before' before sighing, "It just makes me think that bad things are about to happen... I mean, before this, they sort of expected us to get hurt and even die on field trips but we were never asked to sign a form to acknowledge it..."
She paused, eyeing the boil as she ran her fingers through FooFoo's fur idly, "How much do you know about the most recent field trip...?"

It was indeed curious. The faculty had been acting strangely as of late, and a lot of the second year students seemed on edge... Even Mac seemed edgy when asked about the trips..
"I know that there was an island, and that students died.. I can't remember if Mac said much else than that." Malodore had also spoke of it some, though very brief. Surely many others he ran into talked of it with scorn. "Students who die just reform though, right? I'm not sure I understand the alarm.."

"Well, yes," She smiled sheepishly, looking away from Mot and down at FooFoo as she paused, "It's not a pleasant topic to talk about, considering that Mac did see Charlie and I die before he too..." Her voice faded as she shook her head, looking back up at Mot again, "Anyway, on the very first field trip, reformation was instant - I died, I came back. However, on the most recent field trip, I found myself... Floating above the island - or rather, my conscience was."
Forcing a soft chuckle, she paused again, "I actually thought I was gone for good - there was no FEAR healer on the island, so... There was the possibility of dying being permanent. Since we are being asked to sign an indemnity form, I wonder if they're expecting us to die permanently this time." The thought actually scared her, despite the forced smile on her face.
"Do you want to know everything I learned on that island?" She asked, "Do you really want to know?"

The reaper suddenly felt badly for Mac. He had watched his two best friends die before him, later falling to a fate similar himself.
Mot had never.. 'died' before. It wasn't as if he could relate to what Lizzy was saying, though he could at least imagine it. There had been a comfort in knowing that if she had fallen, a Fear healer would be around to bring her back right away. Having that security taken away would leave anyone lost.
Mot thought to himself carefully. Lizzy was offering him important information. He was smart enough to take these sorts of things seriously and with care. A few moments passed, and Mot seemed to reach a decision. "Ultimately, this information will be important to me. I am here at this school until I graduate, therefore.." Mot nodded, "Tell me. I have a right to know."

"Alright," She nodded, inhaling deeply and exhaling before pausing; it was going to one long explanation, but she didn't want to bore him with any unnecessary details... Hm, where to start...
"We were told we had to go on a mandatory field trip, but weren't given much details except for the fact that we would be travelling by boat, captained by the professors," She explained, remembering how nervous she was before due to her inability to swim, "We later landed on this foggy island, where a camp was awaiting us... But all the professors had vanished. We found these bag packs in the camp, which we took before exploring the island... That was when we were attacked."
She paused again, making sure that Mot was following before continuing her little story, "There were these hooded figures with glowing weapons - we were later told by the headmistress that they were 'false reapers'... They had this ability to drain our FEAR. A group of us later headed for the lighthouse on the island, where we found pieces from someone's journal from a long time ago, speaking of being trapped on the island and being captured by those false reapers... Then there was the fog... The fog that caused us to hallucinate our worst fears and brought out our insecurities..." She trailed off, not wishing to talk about what exactly it made her see.
"In the lighthouse, we met this horsemen - Conquest I believe - and another hooded figure who... Well, who told us that..." She hesitated, hugging FooFoo closer, "That... They are turning Halloweeners into weapons... Which meant that the weapons with all the false reapers we fought were once one of us." She shuddered at the thought of being turned into a weapon. Worse - her friends being turned into a weapon.
What if they were lost and could never come back?
"They turned Halloweeners into weapons," Her voice was strained now; she hadn't talked about this for a while, but Mot had the right to know, "That false reaper said something about the person whose journal pages we found being captured and put through... Things... Screaming and screaming until one day, he screamed no more and became something better - those were his words."

Now, Mot knew why the word Field Trip stirred so much discomfort among the older students.
The reaper took in all of the given information bit by bit, his hidden brows knitting together in contemplation. A few things rung out in his mind; False Reapers struck a cord since he himself was a real Reaper, the torture his dear friends had endured at their hands.. but most of all.. the most frightening.. ..Students being turned into weapons. Those weapons being used to turn on their own kind.
Mot took a shaky breath in, rubbing his neck, which had a few hairs standing on end. The whole thing made him feel cold, with sharp shivers running up and down his spine each time he went over it in his head again. "Wow.." He managed to murmur. "I really.. didn't know anything at all... I took all those warnings lightly." All the complaining he had heard before this, he took as a warning, yet deep down he almost felt as if everyone was over reacting. School meant to prepare for the dangers of the world. But.. this seemed so much bigger and sinister than that.
His hand slid from his neck to cup his chin with an elbow resting on his lifted knee.
FooFoo had sensed unrest for sometime, whining when Lizzy seemed to be uncomfortable. The foxfire took the silence as his chance to help, licking Lizzy's hand with a small whine.

"At least you know now," She smiled sheepishly; she understood why Mot would take those warnings lightly though... If she hadn't gone through the field trips herself, she wouldn't have understood why the students held so much dread in their voices when talking about them... However, since she had gone through the horrors herself, she could say that they were not overreacting at all.
The ability to "respawn" aside, it was still unpleasant to die and watch your friends die.
"So, if you ever run into a reaper with the ability to drain your fear, or have one of those necklaces Arel had on him that day... Run and get to the school faculty," She sounded dead serious as she said that, like there was absolutely no way Mot could ever hope to win against one of them, "That was the headmistress' orders."

Mot nodded, taking Lizzy's warning seriously. "Okay, will. You can trust me not to be a hero." He said with a cheesy grin. It could have been taken as a trust that Mot would chicken out, but it could also mean he was smart enough to know when a fight was useless. He certainly did not want his fear to be drained. Or turned into a weapon.
Mot thought silently for a moment, taking in the information and storing it for later use. Then suddenly, he slapped his knee and turned to Lizzy. "Well, knowledge is power, right? Come; let's head home, shall we? I'll walk you."

She cuddled FooFoo, smiling at its gesture; the little furball might cause poor Mot some grief - as she had observed - but she had to appreciate how it made her feel a tiny bit better with its little actions.
"You're my emotional hero!" She giggled before nodding at his comment, offering the boil a smile, "Agreed~ And sure! I think we spent enough time outside today." She then paused, peering down, past the edge of the roof.
"... Once I figure out how to get down."

Emotional hero, huh? Okay. Mot could totally be an emotional hero. The boil smirked proudly, rotating his shoulders as he prepared to descend from the roof.
Oh right. Getting down.
"Theeeeee same way we got up?" He asked, griping the edges of the roof. Oh hey. He could totally make this! Mot held the edges firmly, then flipped himself from the roof and onto the observation deck. He landed with a thud, looking up at Lizzy with a grin. "Using your spider powers, or did you need me to catch you?" He asked, arms wide in case she chose the former.

"Same way. Right." She muttered softly to herself, watching as Mot disappeared under the roof; it sounded like he had made it safely, which was a relief. Inching her way to the edge of the roof, she looking down at Mot before giggling, "Well, using them too much is tiring, I'm afraid... So you'll have to save me this time."
Making sure the boil was ready, she held FooFoo in one hand and used the other hand to fling herself down and towards the observation deck and Mot.

Incoming Lizzy!
True to his word, Mot caught to ghoul with his arms wrapped securely around her. "Safe~." The reaper let the ghoul down on her own to feet, eyeing the terrified FooFoo in her arm. FooFoo had not expected such a flight all of the sudden. For one reason or another, Mot found his pet's fear hilarious, and laughed at the foxfire's bulging eyes. He gave the furry pet a pat on the head and turned, making his way down the ladder again.
"Don't worry about him. He'll forget about it in like, three seconds."
True to his word, once Lizzy looked at FooFoo again, the little pet was panting excitedly, at a bug flying in the air.
