Holy Scriptures DO SAY the earth is flat. Although, you wont hear that in church today. A little thing fortelling how the current bible seems a bit like BS.

I'm trying to keep an open mind to your views, but I would prefer some adult dialogue here. If you have read the Bible, great! If you have not, please refrain from ignorance. I, myself, am ignorant to some things as you are to other things. I have to disagree that the Bible says the earth is flat because the Bible only describes the earth as circular, spherical, etc. "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22). I believe the Church misinterpreted the Bible, which is why they apologized centuries later when their arrogance deflated (the Church despised being proved wrong and liked to instill in people's minds that they're always right). Still even today, people give all sorts of interpretations, correct and incorrect, on Bible verses. As for the rest of your argument, I will respect your views and let you believe what you wish. You stand strong for your beliefs, and I don't feel the need to debate. However, I need to point out that I cannot tolerate any ill remarks about the Bible and Christianity because then I feel like you aren't being respectful of people's religions. I find all kinds of religions fascinating, and that's part of what makes individuals unique. I am currently studying about Hinduism, and I'm impressed with the rules set for morality that is very similar to Christianity's rules on the proper way to live life. I will take your words into account, thank you.

P.S. The Pope is a no-brainer, messed up pile of dung. He's no holy man, just pretentious and stuck up. He even believes in aliens and that aliens are our "brothers in Christ." What the heck? Lol!

No no no, you may have misheard me. .w.
I am a fan of religion of all types. Even though I may not agree because I, myself, am an Atheist, I still think they are alright and don't really mind their existence.
Although, being one who has read a bit of the verses of the Bible, I deny it's validation. A book in existence for a thousand years, I doubt the CURRENT is the original. It's easy to simply just make a man-made edit and pass that around instead. It's just an idea. Not being offensive to religion in itself, just the idea of the accuracy of the current Christian book.
Sure, the example was poor, but there are others that make me wonder.

That actually IS a possibility. It's a known fact that the Catholic Church originally only allowed a select few priests to own a Bible, and their translations had things omitted and others that never existed in the Bible added in. That was how they controlled the congregations, since it was illegal for common folk to own a copy of the Bible. It wasn't until Martin Luther and people like him started revolting against the Church that anyone ever saw what was claimed to be the actual translation from Hebrew.

I've seen people recently, in striking out against the contraception policy Obama attempted to put in place, say the Catholic Church has a rich history in always helping others. It's not true. They were killing people that wanted the Bible translated for all, they made you basically pay off your sins, not to mention Queen Mary, who was born and raised in the Catholic faith, burned at the stake tons of men, women, and children, who were protestant or possessed a Bible. Some of the women were even pregnant when she burned them. Her Protestant sister, Elizabeth, is lucky she didn't come after her.

Exactly my point. Even before then, other people had their hands on it.
Think of the idea of people SO consumed into a belief, they make some changes to what they think is truly right.

All that is a very good possibility. The Church was corrupted and is now. They're accepting New Age practices and ideas.

It's not new age, really. People have been doing the things the "holy" people are and have done for many years.

Haha um... This kind of stings, and we're getting way off topic from the thread discussion. sweatdrop

We Christians take the Bible seriously and believe it is the Word of God written by man inspired by the Holy Spirit. But that's just us. Sure, some Bibles are not the closest translations to the original Hebrew and Greek (KJV is the most accurate), but they still send the same basic message. My friend told me one time that her grandmother's house was hit by a tornado, and the entire bedroom was torn to shreds. On the dresser the Bible remained untouched and was in the exact place it reposed before the tornado struck. It was the KJV. I'm confident in the Bible, one of the many reasons is that every single one of its prophesies have already been fulfilled or have yet to be, and I have a personal relationship with Jesus. Protestantism is not only a belief but a relationship with Christ. "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder." (James 2:19)

Sure, I think the Catholic Church really messed up, but I'm not going to go so far as to doubt the Bible's validity itself. I know you disagree because you believe differently than me (but yes, I believe in microscopic cell life on other planets, too), but that doesn't mean everything you say is correct. Everything I say may not be correct, either. We both like to think we're correct, though.

Let's all talk about anime and cartoons now... 3nodding Let's set aside our differences and unite in the belief in the Illuminati and the NWO (since this guild is about the Illuminati). I'm sorry if I slipped in religious talk here, but I believe the Illuminati is rapidly fulfilling biblical prophesy, and I'm sure many other Christians would agree, but that's just us. sweatdrop

But of course. Even if everyone has different opinions, which they do, doesn't mean anything. It all depends on how the person takes it. All of us here display every bit of our beliefs in as much of a civil way as possible.

I think of you as one of the kindest atheists I've ever met. 4laugh (Besides my BFF, who's also an atheist)

Beliefs never make the person. =D
Although, I do apologize for a good majority of Atheists on the internet that are assholes. =w=;
That can go for anyone, but I'd like to think that anyone could be awesome if they wanted to.
For example, you are also a pretty awesome person. =D
Other Christians I've met, not trying to be biased, don't like my views and sometimes to the point of just having disrespect for me. :S

Quote:
I actually love Kuroshitsuji... I just keep reading the manga and watching the anime a secret from my religious family because I know they would not approve (past midnight while everyone else is sleeping). The storyline is okay, I guess. It's the artwork and scenes that I admire the most because the creator Yana Taboso is a really good artist. It's still demonic no matter how addicting because they portray angels as evil opponents gonk xd . Probably one of the most demonic (and demonically accurate) animes ever created. And the whole "two become one flesh" thing is disgusting lol (oops I hope I'm not spoiling it for you). Yeah I agree, it's strange how it makes you want to focus on demons more.

Quote:
Did you know that the angel Angela/Ash seems obsessed about molding two people to one body? Like the Queen and her late husband Albert and Ciel's parents. This may seem biblical with the whole "two becoming one flesh" thing. "and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one." (Mark 10:8.) The angel makes it seem revolting and a whole different meaning from what the Bible concurs, which is really talking about marriage. Notice how Kuroshitsuji twists the meaning of the Bible verse to make it seem like it means sewing together two bodies to look akin to Frankenstein's monster to appear as "two that became one flesh." Quite demonic, really.

Hey guys, back to analyzing Kuroshitsuji. I watched a little bit of the OVA Ciel in Wonderland, but it stopped and had to buffer, so I didn't have the patience to watch all of Part 1. I haven't seen Ciel in Wonderland Part 2, yet. But from what I saw in the beginning parts of it, Lizzy said something (in the subtitles) that put me on high alert: "When you go somewhere you must behave like the locals. When in Rome do as the Romans do. And finally, pearls before swine."

(In Japanese you say "coins to cats", hence she poses as a cat. The subtitles say 'pearls before swine,' however) It could just be a coincidence, but what Lizzy said made a Bible verse pop up into my mind: "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces." (Matthew 7:6 NKJV)

I did think it was merely a coincidence until later on when Sebastian the rabbit was walking, or rather running, on water! It painted a mental picture of Jesus walking on water, and I was staring at my computer screen in disbelief. I was thinking, "Whoa! What mockery to Christianity." Don't get me wrong, I like to watch the anime for my enjoyment, but lately I've started really looking into it and studying it's hidden Satanic meanings (yes, it does have Satanism as well as references to Christianity in it). And let's not forget about the story of Noah and the Arc in episode 10 "His Butler, On Ice." >.<

Read about this guy who freaks out. He's got some points, but he acts unnecessarily dramatic even for my taste XD: Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler Mini Review (Anime)

Malthus... nope, don't know anything about him. probably a minor demon of some kind.

and yes... i did say his name. and no i am not worried.

Given that there are no such things as demons, I just said his name outloud 3 times. It doesn't even sound like a demonic name, most of which end in "el", particularly since they were once angels, and just about all of those have the signifier "el" in them.

Also, Lucifer refers to The Morning Star, which is Venus, and more literally is probably an epithet of Nebuchadnezzer. Never has there been any evidence that this was pointing to an angel of any kind. Shaitan or Satan is the Adversary, which is a title, and not a name.

If there's no such thing as demons, then there's no such thing as the Illuminati, and there's no such thing as President Obama. Are you trying to start a fight?

Ofcourse i'm not trying to start a fight. Can you explain how on earth you came up with the idea that the existence of Barack Obama somehow proves Demons exist? Are you talking about demons metaphorically or not?

I used Obama as an example because demons are about as real as he is. I'm 100% positive of their existence because of personal experience. For example, you've probably never seen a Giant Squid, but others have. Therefore, in your mind Giant Squids don't exist. You can deduce me crazy, dreaming, hallucinating, and all those silly excuses, but that won't convince me. If you could convince me that spirits don't exist, I'd give you a million dollars. Sadly, you'll find that you can't disprove them even if you tried.

I am a psychic vampire. I am an adept tarot reader and psychometrist, not to mention a medium. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I am ignorant.
