Mmmh... Nope. Nothing there either.

"What? What Fick what? Bad danger?"

Peering into a thick clump of grassy stuff Fick shook his head as he felt his wher's sudden worry, she'd probably only just noticed he'd stepped outside the Weyr. "Not bad trouble, not even a bit of trouble, we're all out here looking for firelizard eggs. You you like a little flitt friend Fi?"

"...Yes. Yes! You look, but careful for danger. Follow one that looks fat and tasty, you won't be eaten then."

At the certainty in Ficksk's mental voice, and the feeling of pride coming out of her that she had done such a good job of looking after him Fick grinned. "Don' worry, they're all tastier than me, I'm safe."

"Good! Now look good!"

Seeing more stones she moved to check around them. she wished she could have seen the images the flit had shown whoever it was that said something about the eggs. Then she would know if she was searching in the right place.

Still pottering along in a haze of sleepy cheerfulness, Fick chewed slightly at his bottom lip in an unconscious reflection of Ficksk chewing on a thick pieces of leather he'd left in her chamber to amuse her. Now where were those eggs? Oh!!... Oh, no, that was a rock. Shards.

Rikki noticed that there was a lot of different members from the Weyr and surrounding area. It wasn't a big surprise, the firelizards were welcome to most and helpful when they wanted to be. She walked along the beach, unsure of where to really look. This was her first try at finding one. She shifted sand around and watched as others were digging around all over, even in rocks.

Zeren groaned and pulled green tails from around his neck, they'd decided it was a good time to see who was better at holding on to him, and along with the tightening tails, they dug their claws into his shoulders, despite the extra padding he'd sewn onto the shoulders, the claws were digging in. He waved them off and gave them a mental telling off, "if you're going to compete... go and see if you can find the eggs, first one that shows me where they are gets a bigger bit of meat tonight" he added verbally and loudly ... in an instant both greens were all of a flutter and took off in opposite directions, they decided the were going to inspect the other people too, to see if someone had found something, a rare glimpse of sense in two not very sensible flits.

"Oh." Orlina's smile turned bright and immediately the flood of words came. They'd been introduced now, so it was all right to be more talkative. "I'm Orlina. Sunny is absolutely lovely. I didn't realize our Whiterider also had a gold firelizard already. Are you going to look for a second from this Clutch? Or if you find them will you just watch over them until a bunch of people come to claim them so that Aerith won't worry?"

Picking up the egg-like rock and tossing it idly up and down Fick wandered onward.

"No nose," Ficksk put in conversationally, "Ficksk could find them right now, but naaaasty outside. If Fick still can't find when light gone, Ficksk will smell them out." Silly Fick with no nose, and blind at the good times to be outside. Without her he would surely be in big big trouble a lot.

"Yup," Fick murmured vaguely, pocketing the stone and bending to peer into a hollow in a sandy bank, "lots and lots."

Janeallia wondered humming again and thinking of names now. What would she call the one she claimed? Well if she got a green she'd call her Grace.
