Arundhati's ears twitched at his growl. "Some will try love. They did with me when I was young and they will try when our kids are young. If they look more like you they will probably be a bit more safe." she whispered finally calming down and leaning back against him tilting her head up to look at him. "I love you but no more joking bout that please."

"I promise I won't joke about that." He nuzzled against her softly, "I'm sorry love. I didn't know that anyone had tried to do that to you when you were younger." He frowned, licking her cheek. "But I know that I will never allow anything to happen to our babies. Even if it means I have to watch them night and day."

"Thank you," She whispered softly while rubbing her nose against his. She pushed her smaller body closer to his and let out a sigh. "Yes they did because I looked different. Honestly how many others like me have you come a crossed?" looking him in the eye " You wont have to stay up night and day when they sleep you can sleep to."

"Well truthfully....you are the first of your kind that I have seen." Ahmes frowned slightly, "But I am not going to allow you to lose sleep alone. We will simply have to take turns looking after the children. This is a partnership love." he smiled and nuzzled he neck softly, "So we are going to share in all of the responsibilities."

Arundhati wrapped her tail around his front paw and sighed "I know you haven't dear that was a sarcastic question. When I was young there was very few that looked like me or near how I looked. I want to say two with me being included now they are a couple more and with our kids they will be even more but still not enough to really eliminate the possibility of someone trying to do something to them." she pointed out to him. Her eyes searching the sky. She could tell it would start to become dark soon and that they would have to move into the den where it was warmer. "I agree that this is a partner ship and I'm happy to know that you will help me not be so sleep deprived but you are wrong about us sharing all responsibility.... you don't give birth to them I do" she pointed out to him in a teasing manner to see what his face would do.

Ahmes laughed, "Well you are more then welcome to do that part darling...Even if I had the parts capable of doing that...I've seen vixens give birth and...." He shuddered, "I don't envy the sort of pain you go through. it is truly remarkable." He smiled at his mate, licking her cheek. "So I can help out in all our regards then...that particular one." He laughed again.

Arundhati eyes him "Yes I know its painful... Did you know males are also able to give birth to babies?? I've seen a mated male couple have kids maybe I can get you to have em hmm?" she asked before standing up and looking over her shoulder at him "Good to know your going to help with them." She said before walking into her snow den hoping he would follow.

Ahmes looked at her slightly taken back, then he nervously smiled. "Males can...." He gulped, "Give birth? No....No I did not know that...but somehow that feels....unnatural..." He cleared his throat. "I think that the children would be much safer off in your womb then in mine." He nodded his head, "Yes.,..that is how I fell....but in any other regard I shall give you assistance." He started to follow her toward her den.

Arundhati crouches down since she made it a small entrance so not to many others could get into her home. Once she slipped her little butt past a certain point she was able to stand up again and head a bit further into it where she sat and waited for Ahmes to appear.
He seemed a bit flustered about the thought of having the kids. "But won't you save me from that pain?" she asked in a pouty voice to see how he would react. "We could ask a male coupling and find out what its like maybe you will have no problem at all and I doubt they would be anymore safer in me than you..."She yawned in the middle of her thought not realizing how tired she really was. "You don't seem to get in as many conflicts as I do." She pointed out.

He watched his mate disappear into the small hole, then tried to squeeze himself through. It was hard, but he managed to do it. He was smaller then Hati and it seemed like he had a harder time getting in then her, how did that make sense? Regardless he managed to walk over to where she was and then froze. "Mm."
When she put it like that how could he say anything against it. "I guess I could....try...." He looked to the side pouting slightly, "For you...."

Arundhati nudged him with her nose to his cheek. "Ahmes," she said with a whine. She licked his cheek. "You don't have to. I'll do it." She told him than laid down and watched him.

Ahmes licked her back, "You don't have to love...I meant what I said....I will do it...for you." He snuggled up against her body and smiled as he slid his muzzle under her chin and laid down. "I love you Hati....and if it could spare you the pain then I will do it for you. I will carry our babies....and I will birth them for you." He smiled, "Whatever you decide i will support you."

Arundhati closed her eyes and rested her head on top of his. Her tail brushing against his side as they laid curled up together in the darkening night, in their warm snow formed den. She lay there wondering to her self how she had found such a loving mate. She wasn't exactly the nicest creature out there and here was this male that loved her unconditionally and would even bare their kits if she choose that she didn't want to go threw the pain of doing so. He would for her. A smile graced her muzzle and she nuzzled his ear. "I'll bare them and just make you find me odd foods to satisfy my weird cravings," she told him with a slight tease.

He laughed, "Then I shall cross mountains if I have to...to bring you whatever food you desire my love." Ahmes nuzzled his ear against her mouth wanting to purr in pleasure. How could it be that he found the perfect mate for him. It seemed too easy. She was perfect for him in every way, and no doubt could kick his tail in a fight. But instead of being intimidated he was brimming with pride. He enjoyed having a powerful mate, because though she was physically strong, she was also gently and loving in her own way. A side she seemed to show only to him.

"Mountains huh?" She asked in a teasing tone "How about Oceans? Or is that out of the question?" she than nipped his ear giving it a playful tug before snuggling back into him. How did one day on the beach change her whole life she didn't know but she was glad it did.
Pausing to listen to see if there was anything around she got back up and made the den's door smaller so that nothing would get in while they were sleeping. After she was satisfied with the size of the door she went back and plopped down next to Ahmes and yawned.
