For a moment or so, Shun's gaze lingered on his hands, though he looked back up towards Mitsu when she spoke up again.
"Yeah.." he murmured. A part of him still felt that she might be better off seeking another teacher in that regard, but she seemed to be pretty persistent on getting him as her self defense mentor.
Taking in a deep breath, he shook his head and glanced at the bag she brought.
"I guess.. let's just get to the homework then."

Mitsu wasn't certain if she could cheer Shun up over the matter. He seemed rather down about the training thing in his own way.
Turning to her bag Mitsu nodded her head slightly before opening it up to grab her books and notebooks. Was there a way she could make study time more interesting? Maybe they should try something new. That way Shun didn't dread her coming over to do nothing but homework.
"W..why don't we go for a walk instead?" Mitsu suggested. It wasn't like anything was due right away. The work could wait a little while longer. "We can just...talk for a while?" Conversation was still difficult and Mitsu wasn't always sure what to ask on a get to know you basis. She wanted to know more about the reaper but there were things she was too nervous to bring up.

"That.. sounds nice," nodded Shun, "We can work on things when we get back I guess."
While it wasn't much, a little walk sounded pretty nice. He did enjoy spending time with Mitsu. He just didn't enjoy doing homework. This would also help him feel not so restless about not being all too active.
Before he got back to his feet, Arkham had taken some interest in the books Mitsu took out. Tilting his head, he grabbed one of them in his metallic jaws and backed away. Apparently he had his own plans with it.

It seemed like everything was settled then. They could work on homework a bit later. Just leaving everything out for now Mitsu noticed that Arkham was coming to check out the books but had slid her mask into place right when he snatched one.
Standing to her feet Mitsu made her way to the door waiting for Shun to follow. Maybe after a bit of a walk Shun wouldn't feel so restless. "D-do you want to stay on campus or go into town?" She didn't mind either way. If he wanted a long walk she would follow.

Unfortunately, Shun didn't see that Arkham had actually taken a book as well. He was looking towards the door at the time as he was trying to think of where to go.
"We could probably just stay on campus. It's pretty big and all," he said as he moved on towards the door, opening it to let Mitsu out as well, "Don't really have a place in mind to go anyway. Not unless you do."

"N-no I don't have a place in mind," Mitsu said as she stepped out the door and waited for the reaper to lock up before she headed down the hall. "Anywhere is fine."
Once they were outside Mitsu took a breath of fresh air before looking around for a suitable destination. "I do like being outside.." Despite how much of a bookwyrm she was at times. "I didn't get to go outside a lot at home so its nice." It smelled different, the air moved about, it was much more calming than being cooped up inside. "What about you? Do you like being outside?" He obviously liked moving around as compared to sitting and doing homework.

Looking around as they exited the building, Shun placed his hands into his pockets as per usual before beginning to stroll away. A circle around campus would probably suffice since they didn't have an exact route or location in mind for where to go.
"I don't mind it usually. Depends on where I am though," he replied, "I don't really like being out in a crowded street for example. Too many people. Too noisy. But... it can be nice being out."

"Sounds like the city...I don't like the city very much." That's where she had grown up. Just outside the city. It was loud, over crowded, full of violence, and lacked really anything that made her think of the outdoors...like trees for example.
"I like the forest..I think." True she didn't entirely know of the dangers, if she did she might not have been so keen about the woods, but for now she was blissfully unaware. "I like the sounds I hear at night outside my window." Since her room gave a perfect view of the wooded area behind the monster dorms and was close enough to heard the sounds that went on during the night.

"I don't mind cities in general... just not during the busy hours. I prefer it more at night when there's usually less things going on," Shun shrugged. Then again, he generally preferred the night over the day. Things usually seem to cool down and whatnot. It wasn't necessarily true but that's just how it was in his eyes.
"The forest can be pretty nice as well. No idiots around usually and it's quieter over all. Don't know which of the two I'd prefer though."
Both areas had their merits in his eyes.

"Night time does seem calmer." Mitsu nodded in agreement. She really didn't walk the city much. Mostly just going to and from school so she really didn't know much about night life at the city. She was made to stay at home and study. From what she had seen though it wasn't exactly her cup of tea.
"I like that its quiet but not silent." Not that her statement made much since. She was mostly referring to the fact that there was a lack of ruckus generally but there were always some sort of noises. Birds chirping, crickets, things moving around. Always something. She preferred it over silence. Silence was unnerving.
As they continued to walk their path around campus a few things went through Mitsu's mind though she was hesitant to ask. "Shun..." She started but trailed off. Finally after a bit of silence she shook her head. Lizzy had told her to wait. In an effort to not trail off into silence Mitsu tried to think of something else to ask. "What kind of things were you going to show me during training?" It definitely didn't sound like that was what she was about to ask. Her tone had started off very differently but she still looked up at Shun expectantly for an answer.

Nodding quietly to Mitsu, Shun continued to look down the path ahead, watching the areas they were passing up idly. There were a couple other students wandering around the campus as well, who all seemed to be doing their own things as well.
When the masked girl said his name, he looked over towards her to see what she wanted. There was a sort of hesitance there, though he didn't know what to make of it. It sounded like it was going to be something important, though this didn't seem to be quite the case as she asked about their training session later on.
It was a little strange to ask it that way, but he didn't think much of it.
"You have pretty good leg power. I'll teach you to refine your kicks as well as to teach you were to aim. I don't expect you to do a great deal of fighting so it'll be more out of defense..." he said, "Not the cleanest way to fight but it'll work for you I believe."

"So kicking?" She asked curiously. Thinking about it Mitsu had managed to kick the punching bag really hard that time when they were in the fitness club. Perhaps it was something she could learn and learn to do well. "Would it be better if I learned another way as well?" She asked when he commented on it not being the cleanest way to fight. When it came to battling or fighting Mitsu honestly didn't know much. Those situations were the ones she tried to avoid.
As they walked along the path Mitsu shifted her glance here and there every once in a while to take in what was around them as well as the other students. She didn't want to trip or run into anyone...or something. The lycan had done that once already with Shun around and at the moment she wouldn't have as good as an excuse as not being able to see.

"No it wouldn't. I can give some pointers on other ways you can defend yourself as well. If you're up to it I could try and teach you how to redirect an opponent's attack to make it work against them," Shun said while looking ahead again. In any case, it would be good to teach her how to block. Throwing someone off balance was just a step forward from that.
"I may be able to teach you how to fall properly as well. If you know how to fall, you won't get as much damage when it happens."

"I would like to learn." She would do her best to take in whatever Shun taught her. Mitsu wanted to do her best not to disappoint him. If he was going to take his time to train her she would do her best to show that she could do it.
Then he mentioned falling. Mitsu smiled a bit behind her mask. "I...I think I might have falling down." She tried to joke. It was pretty obvious Mitsu wasn't the most well balanced person on the planet.

"I'll teach you then.. but as I said before, I'm not entirely certain how qualified I'd be at this point to do that sort of thing," Shun said plainly. When Mitsu took a jab at herself regarding falling down, he glanced back over towards her with somewhat of a blank stare. Well... she was a fairly clumsy one.
"Well... you'll learn how to fall better then. Couldn't hurt in any case."
The joke likely went right over his head.
