Jaclyn smiled. He did it with fluid moment so he wasn't lying at least. He would have issues if he was lying. "Not a bad name." The girl commented after she was done swallowing. "Now telling me wasn't so hard. You didn't have to get snappy about it." She tried and failed at making it sound like a joke or something. "Would you like to join me for lunch?" She asked trying to sound polite, but no knowing what to do.

Noctis glanced down at the salad she was eating and scowled subtly. His facial expression softened almost immediately though as he looked at her once more."I'd... love to. But I won't actually be eating." He answered before sitting down across from her.

Patches Noctis looking at him with a 'wtf are you doing face' and gestured to Claire as if to say 'she`s boreing.'

Claire crossed her arms in a slight pout when she saw what Patches did and decied she was going to go once Patches was annoying Noctis enough that he made him leave

Jaclyn raised an eyebrow. Why would he come to a lunch room and not eat. There was only one category of monster that she could think up that didn't really eat. "Are you a bloodsucker?" She asked. It was a general term for any monster that needed blood to live. "If you are that soda machine that's over there is blood drinks." She commented pointing at a red colored soda machine.

Noctis rolled his eyes, having the foolish urge to stick his tongue out at Patches."I'm talking to someone, what does it look like I'm doing?" He rhetorically asked Patches."I'm not hungry..." He reluctantly answered to Jaclyn. And when Patches wasn't looking he stuck his tongue out at him before quickly turning around back to Jaclyn.

Jaclyn nodded. She felt really odd eating in front of Noctis. It was kind of like he was staring while she was eating. It was just awkward all around. "Suit yourself." She commented trying not to worry about the stare or not. "So why are you going to Reeds?" She asked trying to start a conversation while she ate her meal. It was at least something to do.

Noctis shrugged as he pondered over why exactly he was here. His nails tapped gently against the surface of the table, only stopping when he found the answer."I don't know... I guess just to escape certain predicaments."

Jaclyn couldn't seem to get anything much out of this guy. This was going to lead to a boring conversation. She needed something to lighten the growing heavy mood at this rate. "Yeah. I think I understand. Parents can be a bit of a drag." She commented not sure if that was the reason. "So joining any clubs?" She asked changing the subject.

Jaclyn could tell this was going to get dull fast and it was best if she hurried up and finished eating so she could get away. Then he asked her about herself. "I'm the only daughter of a winemaker and current leader of the Cheer and Dance Squad." She answered hoping that answer was good enough. She really didn't know what else to say about herself.

Noctis wasn't at all actually interested in what he'd asked, which led him to why he was even continuing this conversation. Though, he became interested when he came up with a question he was eager to hear the answer to."Marriage seems like a huge goal in your life. Why is that? And the Prince thing... is it for the money?" He questioned.

Jaclyn was surprised that that he brought that up what she had said earlier. It was one of those things that outsiders didn't totally understand. "Well the well known Wizard families usually marry there daughters off to create alliances. The family picks a few suitors after the birth of a daughter and add to the list of possible people their daughter will marry as she ages. I'm going to marry someone one day." She answered. "And no I will not marry for money."

Patches noticed Noctis makeing fun of him out of the edge of eye, and once Noctis turned around he turned his shadow into a monster makeing fun him then had it go back to normal before he could see.

Now Noctis was indeed intrigued by the change in topic. Thinking back onto his former life, he thought of how he'd only gain a spouse if his kingdom were trying to make an alliance to prevent a potential war. But with Wizards, it couldn't be for the same reason, right?"Well, why do you need Alliances with other families?" He asked. Then, with help of peripheral vision, he noticed the mockery Patches set up. He just wanted to stick his foot straight up that rabbits poop shoot. If it even had one..."Don't play a game you won't win, Patches." He mocked.
