Van Evok my Infinity army got painted! pics incoming soon... and they proved that painted models fight better as they trashed solidly Stiopa's (my rl friend) Acontecimento force today! That's great news! blaugh

let my opponent sum up the battle:
Uhh, Ewok wiped the table today with my Acon. 4-0 in YAMS points, my army in retreat. He used his Prowler and Zero to cause some mischief in the middle, then went ramboing with his Riot Grrl with me unable to counter effectively. Point by point:
1. I should have deployed one Naga to the rooftop of the building in the centre of the map. I didn't, and both Bakunin infiltrators had it to themselves.
2. I forgot that Prowlers come with light flamethrower. This costed me 5th member of a fireteam and +3 BS bonus, which led to...
3. I played too agressively with my fireteam, and left them in a place where Riot Grrrl could attack them from 16-24 range. Even cover didn't help. If I had that +3 BS this would end better for my Regulars.
4. Attacking Grrl with Naga out of combat camo would be a viable tactic (she was down to 1 wound and out of cover), but I had no orders to place my operative in cover or recamo (I was in LoL by then), and after passing her saves the Grrl blasted Naga away easily.
5. I should activate my Guarda earlier. Take out one of the enemy Moderators with Naga and kill the rest with Guarda.
6. Too liitle options to threaten bunkered enemy troops. Never leave home without a Grenade Launcher again.
Rematch next week, I must repay those Nomad bastards :]

I may or may not be suckered into playing this, the store I frequent gave away quick start rule booklets with a better clarification of the basic rules. Okay, still some things I don't get, but it is a whole lot clearer than the big rule books at the very least. Only thing I don't like is that the sample forces they list in the back of the booklet are not recreateable with the faction starter boxed sets.
So yeah, either Ariadna, PanO or ALEPH from the look of things.

on my side of the things, i'm saving up for a riot grrls box - they might be on the light side of heavy infantry but are cheap enough to field full link team, which is great! another player has joined our local gaming circle, playing Yu-jing and he is already menacing everyone with his Hac Tao ninja
