When Mary finally managed to make her way into the shallows she did look back only to see open water. Maybe she should go check on him was the first thing that she thought about. Instead she heard another rude remark from Radu.
"I don't know either, he's not my boyfriend. I only meet him recently." Her voice was a little low. It was obvious that Radu had hit a nerve and she wasn't used to being able to hide negative emotions.

“Well then little girl he’s simply a fool. You don’t even know him and you’re playing with him. You’re as much a fool as he… I almost wish my mate were here to see this. She’d laugh at both of you then jump in and splash everywhere. All just because she could.” Radu actually smiled. It wasn’t a nastsy smile or smirk as he had shown before, rather it was a fond one. Just the thought of his little goose was enough to improve the deava’s mood
Charis popped up again taking a deep breath. He looked over to see Mary and the deava talking and Radu was smiling. Instead of interrupting Charis kept his place and wisely kept his mouth shut.

Mary flicked her wet hair casually out of her face as she turned slightly to look at Radu. Now that he was talking about his mate he seemed decent. Maybe if she showed interest in his mate he might not be such a grumpy fellow. "I do see your point for safety. Your mate seem like a spontanious person." She spoke honestly, she loved learning about other foxes.
As she turned to look back at her friend she gave him a sweet smile. She didn't like knowing in a little bit she might say good bye to him forever. She was really starting to warm up to him.

“I couldn’t care less about your safety. I was merely stating a fact. You’re a fool.” Radu favored Mary a cruel smile. “I can see why such a space headed girl like you doesn’t have a mate to put up with you.” He didn’t regret his comment in the least but rather followed the vixen’s comments about his mate with a snort. “Spontaneous? To some degree. She looks at things not as they are, but how they could be. She’s an incredible little feathered goose girl.”
When Charis saw Mary’s smile he took it as a signal he could approach the two without interrupting anything too important. In the much shallower water his wing were sticking out above the waterline.

Mary was starting to get annoyed with Radu constant comments. A feat few foxes had been able to manage since she could take a lot of abuse. "Ofcourse." Was her only remark deciding to hold her tongue. "Ah I see. She seemes like a abstract thinker. You should of brought her I would of loved to meet her." She said giving him her still sweet smile.
Hearing the water move she turned her head to look at Charis and lifted an amused eyebrow. "You look like a half drowned squirrel."

Radu laughed aloud wondering when the little vixen would snap. She seemed be getting just a bit miffed with him which was just the way he liked it. Teasing her was entreating. Not as much as teasing his little goose girl of course. Nothing compared to that pleasure, but seeing another vixen with some spine was a good thing in Radu’s eyes.
Chuckling Charis poked a paw out of the water. “You don’t look much different from one yourself.” He climbed out of the water and debated on shaking out his fur or not.

Mary watched Radu not bothering to question what was so funny. She knew it would probably be something she didn't feel like hearing. At hearing Charis comment she gave a casual shrug and another flip of her wet hair. "I still make it look good."

Unable to resist Radu continued laughing at the little vixen’s antics. “There you are little squirrel. It’s like that you’ll get a mate, not all sugar sweet and so easy to run over.” Radu got up and stretched his muscled abit smiling. He still wanted to break the girl, but first building her up a bit might not be to back, or maybe he should break the phim. That could be fun too.
Charis nodded. “That you do..” He looked at Radu then at Mary confused by what they were talking about.

At hearing the daeva comment the white fur on her cheeks started to get a pinkish hue. It was from both embarssement and getting flustered by him. "I handle myself as I please." She said looking away before turning to catch Charis look. "Its nothing." She said, she wasn't feeling comfortable now.

Smirking at the phim he couldn’t help but try and tease him a bit too. After all it wasn’t fair to just pick on the girl and leave the featherbrain out now would it? “Well now little feather boy I think the girly here was just saying how she was looking for a mate and now that she knows that being all sweet and kind will only get you as far as a slug she might try and change her tactics.”
Charis physically twitched. Then his face turned bright red. He looked down finding it hard to speak. “There’s nothing wrong with being kind, or simply acting like yourself. It might not work out every time, but it’s worth it.”

Mary red cheeks got brighter after she heard what the deava said to Charis. No, he took it to far when he started to pick on Charis. He was a quiet fox who didn't deserve to be picked on. This made a side of Mary show that she didn't even know she had.
She stepped forward in front of Charis and looked at the intimidating Radu with determination. "He hasn't done anything to you so leave him out of it. Its one thing to play mind games and rude to me, but its another to do it to him. He treated you with more respect then you showed him." As she stood her ground her cheeks where bright red when she finished.
It wasn't her faith, no it was a dark side of Mary that laid surpressed and wanted out. It managed to slip out of a crack in her persona if only for a second.

Radu stared at Mary rather impressed with her little tiraid. “Well now the little squirrel has more backbone than I gave her credit for!” Radu laughed. “Calm down girlie. If I wanted to hurt you or your charge I’d just incinerate the pair of you and be done with it.” He let his flames burn at his paws careful not to set the whole area on fire. “He needs to toughen up a bit more or he’ll be eaten alive by life, besides I didn’t say anything bad about him. I was mearly mentioning what we two were discussing before he came over. No need to get your tail in a knot.” He moved forward past her and made sure to brush his own fur against hers just to add to her discomfort.
Charis was surprised at Mary’s outburst and stared at her in shock before he suddenly found himself with Radu right next to him and then the deava used a wing to pull him into an hug. Charis was very confused.

Mary stared back at Radu still being defiant against him until a small awkward frown came onto her face and she turned away. "Yes of course you could of done that." She said low as she half heartedly heard Radu out.
She felt confused, not at what was said. No she was confused at why it felt so good to give that outburst. It was a feeling she never experienced before and yet it felt so good. The flames had been in her view but she paid little attection. What brought her back to reality was the feel of Radu touching her. It sent cold shivers through her like trying to handle a snake.
As she turned to look at phim shocked look, she was wary of it. "I rather we keep that topic to ourselves."

Radu smiled his most winning smile. The little vixen was fun to torment. No wonder his goose girl wanted him to socialize more. It was a fun pastime! “Just because you want to keep it a secret doesn’t’ mean I have to squirrel girl. That’s the trouble with secrets. Share it with one other person and it’s no longer yours to keep ever again. Well unless of course the other keeper dies. Then look on the bright side. It’s all yours again!” With that said he patted Charis on the head in a very condescending manner before letting the phim go and shoving him at Mary with glee.
Shifting his weight Charis managed to avoid crashing into Mary. He cleared his throat. “Well regardless of what you two were speaking of perhaps you shouldn’t tease Mary quite so much Radu. You’ve seen for yourself that she can snap and has a strong soul so let’s just let this topic drop.” He smoothed his fur from where Radu had touched him not commenting on the insults that Radu had put his way before.
(Haha.. Charis is finally starting to get numb to Radu being a jerk. He just wants to look out for Mary and keep her from being bullied. Even though she protected him..)

Mary gentlied ran her tongue over her teeth for a moment thinking over Radu's words. They were true to say the least, although the killing part seemed promising at the moment. But her small size would never be a match for him, if anything he'd make a game out of it. A game, that's what this was. "Well then you have all the time to tell." She said to him as her sudden strength was replaced with embarssement.
"I'm not a kit Charis..." she said low adverting her gaze. It made her feel awkard with the way he seemed to think she couldn't handle herself. Words weren't that bad.
