Razor raised an eyebrow. "I doubt yous could. Lunarie ain't a hostile tribe, but unless yous is blood-related to someone in it we don't just let anyone wander 'round our lands." Though as spacy and bizarre as Hail, Razor actually had to wonder if any scout who found her on their lands would have to go through the same process of explaining what was (usually) just naturally understood. The thought kinda amused him in an odd sense.

.. “So then if you never allow those who are not blood related wouldn’t your tribe die out.” Hail tilted her head not understanding. “what of mates? Are they kept from the tribe? How the children feel of such things?” She looked down at her box wondering. It seemed tough to put a child through. She looked up at Razor. “could I come along if I followed you solely?”

Razor sighed. "Sometimes peoples come t' us t' join th' tribe," he explained. "Sometimes tribe members bring their mates in t' join, not the mention we're pretty big sos we gots lots of members to have babies and keep the tribe up. If yous has a mate that don't wanna join the tribe, yous has to ask the elders for permission. It's hard to keep up, but that's just how it is. That's one o' the reasons the elders are skeptical of out-of-tribe matin's, cause of how tough they is on those involved."
Razor shrugged. "If two tribe members has kids then the kids stay in the tribe. If one parent ain't part o' the tribe the kids can either live wit' us or become wanderers, their choice."

“Interesting. It seems complicated.” Hail blinked. “Still could I follow you around as a potential candidate for the tribe? This way I could follow you and see what things are like and understand your tribe better, and I would not be in the way or a threat to the tribe since I would be following you and you alone.” She blinked and yawned a bit feeling tired by the day. the sky was warm and she was feeling comfortable. “Still have you found what your been seeking?”
She stretched her paws on either side of her box and tilted her head as she stared at Razor. She enjoyed conversing with him and hoped for it to continue after a rest perhaps.

Razor wasn't sure if she was talking about the tribe or about his digging around in the sand. Well he certainly wasn't going to answer like she meant the tribe, since the complications of parentage and birth rights were waaaaay out of his league of patience. Trump would have more luck with that kinda thing....
Razor felt a mental snicker coming on. At least if Hail did follow him back to Lunarie, he could always shove her odd questions off on his twin. She wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't so......ditzy.
"Well I ain't really seeking anything, so hard to find what you aren't lookin' for," he responded.

”I see.” Hail blinked slowly and yawned. “I am feeling tired.” She looked around at the beach there didn’t seem to be any comfortable place to sleep. She then looked toward the woods where Razor had come out of. “How far does your tribe’s land extend?”
Hail was considering going and sleeping at the edge of the tribal lands so that Razor could perhaps head back to his tribe’s land and receive permission from the elder for her to follow him around. She didn’t want him to get in trouble because of her.

Razor shugged. "Pretty far. I dunno an exact difference. I think we're either the biggest or second biggest tribe out there though. Lunarie and Kousetsu are some of the oldest out there, 's why they're so big."
He scuffed at the sand, half-heartedly digging at it in the hopes a shell might be close to the surface. "If you mean how far is Lunarie from here, not far. I don't travel too far off tribe territory."

“Very well then. I can sleep on the edge of the lands with some ease then.” Hail yawned loudly. “I do not wish to get you into trouble.” She watched him dig a bit more still amused by Razor. He really wasn’t going to take the shell she offered was he. Was this some kind of fox insult socially? Hail wondered if she should be insulted or not. While debating she tried to figure out why Razor would still speak with her if he was trying to insult her? So he wasn’t being insulting. That was a pleasant thought. Which way could she go to get some rest? "The tribe is the way you came correct?" Hail looked around Razor toward the forest he came out of.

Razor shrugged again. Deities, this was giving him flashbacks to when he'd been a kit and his dad was interrogating him on whatever bit of mischief he'd gotten into. Razor probably could have pattened the shrug. It had eased up just a little once he became an adult, but this was still bringing back memories.
"I might have taken a twist or two, but I suppose going back in that general direction would hit Lunarie lands. Probably not where I first came out, but I know the border scent well enough to tell when I've passed it."

“Good then you can tell me if I go to far. Stop me so you don’t get into trouble. I can nap and wait for you so you may find out from whom ever you must if I might follow you or not.” With that said Hail got up and wrapped her box up with her tail and started headed for the forest. She was sleepy and was looking forward to getting a nap in before following Razor around in the tribe lands.
She wondered if Razor might come back with whoever he had to speak with saying no. That would be bad right? She wondered how she would feel if that happened. What if the fox in charge said yes? Would she feel different then? Only one way to find out.

Razor shrugged. "Yer life, I guess." He stood up and trotted back towards the forest himself, about six feet away from Hail but moving in a direction parallel to hers. He was pretty sure if Hail really wanted to join then Ari wouldn't say no, so strictly speaking under those circumstances she'd be welcomed on Lunarie grounds if she entered with Razor.
The time alone would be good for him though, his thoughts were still a jumbled mess!
((I feel like we should have a time-skip in here somewhere, but I have no idea what to do > _> ))

Hail kept walking for a while enjoying the scents in the air as she walked at a normal pace, which was little quick to other foxes. After a moment she stopped dead and plopped down under a tree. The grass had felt comfortable to her as she had walked so Hail decided this was where she would nap. It was simple matter for her. “As stated I will remain here until you come to fetch me. I do not wish to get you into trouble Razor.” This was said with sincerity which still somehow managed to come out as monotone. She used her tail to place her box at her side and then wrapped herself around her gem like a sleeping dragon laying her head atop it. She didn’t even wait to see what Razor said as she closed her eyes.
(Time skip here? She was tired after all. Razor could go and get his brother *snicker* I’m sure Hail would probably end up confusing them both… and it gives time for Razor to think.)

"Yea yea," Razor mumbled, only glancing briefly at Hail without even pausing. For such a big, kinda crass guy, he moved silently and swiftly through the underbrush. Soon, even the few sounds he had been making vanished.
((Hmmm. Why don't you do the skip, and put out what Hail's been thinking. It'll have been a few days, maybe four or five. And do you really want to pull Ebil and Trump into the RP?))

Stretching out Hail awoke on the fifth day and walked back to the shoreline to dig up some more pretty things for her box. So far she had added some shells and some rocks, even that almost clear stuff other foxes said human’s make called ‘glass’. A part of her wondered how much longer Razor would be gone. Hail missed speaking with someone. Razor was one of the few foxes that spoke to her and didn’t just get mad and walk away. That made her insides feel squishy and more grumbles than normal. He had remembered to ask her about her following him into the tribe, or had he forgotten. His tribe leader wouldn’t have vented his anger at such a request and harmed Razor would he? Hail’s paws quickened her digging without her realizing it and she yelped aloud as she realized the red in the sand was her own blood! She accidentally had sliced her paw on a shard of a shell.
Sitting back she licked her injury while pondering it all over. Should she be mad at Razor or worried for him? She had asked him if he wanted to be potential mates, but he never answered with a yes or a no. Did that mean yes since he didn’t say no? Why were other foxes so confusing?
(Honestly I don’t mind one way or another. I just offered since you mentioned Razor had a brother.)

Razor was in a fine black mood that morning.
He'd gotten back to the tribe grounds and briefly talked with his elder. As expected, Ari wouldn't mind a newcomer to the tribe. Razor really hadn't expected anything else. What had made him grumpy was...
'If they wasn't my brothers, I'da gutted them,' Razor thought, fuming a bit. Hikaru and Kaoru were the twin-iest of all Rendo and Nuishan's sons, and also delighted in ruffling his fur when they got the chance. His black moods probably only encouraged them, but he couldn't bring himself to even pretend to act peppy and cheerful to discourage them.
'She ain't even my girlfriend,' Razor thought uselessly, willing the silent protest to reach his brothers back at the Lunarie base. He wished he could return the torment, but if anything Hikaru and Kaoru's girlfriends were worse!
Hail hadn't been where he left her, so Razor decided to try the shore again. If she wasn't there, he was leaving. The wind blew into the trees, bringing the smell of salt, brine, and fish. Yup, he was close. There was another smell, a faint sort of copper. It made his frown deepen a bit and left him uneasy, but he pushed the feeling aside and kept moving. The beach was almost in sight.
Briefly Razor wondered if Trump had taken him up on his offer and decided to come along...
((XD Five brothers, actually. His littermates are all twins. Trump is Razor's twin, they're the oldest. The other four are mixed in age. Hikaru and Kaoru are one set of twins, obviously, and Kishen and Rush are the other set.
I'll ask Ebil if he wants to post in the RP or not. Left it open for Trump to join whenever, so you can post when you'd like.))
