"Oh, yes. Quartz is very common, though only cut quartz does this. And only if it's cut in a certain shape. It does make pretty rainbows, though, doesn't it?" He asked, twirling the pendant and sending the rainbows dancing around on the trees, the ground, the two of them. "I think it's perfect for you." He said, moving over and dragging the pendent around her neck.
Kylar wagged his tail and smiled at her. "All you have to do is step into sunlight, lift the quartz a bit with your paw, and voila. Instant light show." He suddenly looked a little worried. "I know it's not much, but you do like it, don't you?"

Psyche beamed at Kylar and quickly pecked his cheek. "I love it." She stared down at the gem, lifting it in her paw to see it better. She didn't care if it was a simple common thing. It was beautiful, a gift, and a reminder of her first adventure into a human dwelling. For Psyche, it was more than something common. To her it was special.
Then she remembered what she had just done and what might happen. She let the gem fall back as she put the paw holding it to her mouth. Psyche looked at Kylar. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Was Kylar one that would be okay with a kiss on the cheek? Was that something that happened often in his group?

"Oh, that's great, I'm glad you like it." Kylar said happily, his tail doing a slow wag. When she kissed him, a small lopsided grin crossed his expression. Well, that was unexpected, but very nice.
Kylar looked at Psyche confused. "Oh, well, I didn't mind it. If that's the problem, I didn't mind." He said reassuringly, smiling at her. He'd rarely gotten any affection since he left his father...who gave far, far too much.

"You sure?" Rui always said that her impulsiveness would get her into trouble. She had always thought he meant danger trouble. But having met Kylar, couldn't losing him be trouble too?
She honestly didn't know why she kissed him. Psyche figured that's why it was called impulse. But normally if a fox gave her something, she'd say thank you and that was that.

Kylar nodded and grinned softly at her. "Sure, I really don't mind. It was...nice. Unexpected, sure, but nice." Kylar waved his tail lightly. Still, the subject was going to get really awkward, really fast since he had absolutely no experience talking with vixens. A subject change was in order.
"So how about we do something you like to do now?" He asked with another smile.

Psyche smiled, happy that she wasn't losing and friend in Kylar, as shown by how fast her tail was twitching. She would just have to make sure that she refrained from giving the male a kiss again. He might have been okay with the one. She didn't want to push her luck again with more should the impulse to arise.
"What I like to do?" Psyche fidgeted with the necklace while she thought about it. Should they go off and do more? She really should get back before Rui came to hunt her down. Though, with how angry he had been at her, why should she? Besides, she was a grown adult now. It was high time she went off on her own.
"I'd actually like to just walk." She lowered head slightly, sheepish. "With what just happened at that dwelling, I kind of want to take an easy rest of the day."

Kylar watched the expressions flash across the vixen's face and a small smile appeared when she went from nervouse to defiently determined. Somehow Kylar got the feeling that the deer fox that had been yelling at her had something to do with those emotions.
"Sure, not a problem, I'm just used to keeping what I steal." He teased, "I'll walk you home, that should be fairly uneventful." He offered, head tilted a bit.

Psyche fingered the bauble again. Keeping what he stole? Then shouldn't he have....No. Kylar said it was okay for her to keep the necklace. And she wanted to keep the necklace. If Kylar was going to have an issue with her having it, he wouldn't have given it to her in the first place.
Psyche smiled at the male. "Sure. I'd like that." She looked about them suspiciously. "Shhhh! You'll jinx us." Giggling, Psyche looked around them, this time for the way home. Or at least, where she was staying currently. She never had one place she called home.

Kylar watched her mess with the stone he'd given her and grinned, realizing she hadn't understood what he'd meant. "I meant you, Psyche, I said you could keep the necklace. And if anything happens, I'll take it on." Kylar did an exaggerated swagger, obviously to be ridiculous and started off on the path back to where Rui was.
"Did you enjoy our little outing?" He asked, waving his tail slightly. "I know the human coming back was a little scary, but it was fun over all, wasn't it?"

Her? Stole her? Huh? Psyche was jolted out of her thoughts when Kylar started heading back. She quickly followed after him, pulling up besides the male. When he asked about their outing she had to smile. "It was a blast! The scare made it even more thrilling! Not that it wasn't before they came, but there's always the extra something when a scare happens you know?"
Before Psyche lost her nerve, she blurted out: "What did you mean me? I mean, when you said you meant you had stolen me?" She had gone willingly with Kylar, so could that actually qualify as stealing?

"Yes, I know that feeling well. I think I may be a bit addicted to it." Kylar replied with a chuckle. "I think that's why I continue stealing; not necessarily for the rare stones, but more for the thrill of the hunt and escape." He flashed her a smile as they headed back to where they had first met.
"As for stealing you, it was just a joke. Apparently a bad one." He said, his smile showing he wasn't much phased by the fact he was a bad jokester. "I said it because I whisked you away from your irate guardian, which I called 'stealing' rather than 'kidnapping' since you came with me."

"Was that the closest you've been to being found out and captured?" What the thrill must be like to escape with a more narrow margin than they had today. Would it be worth the risk though? As much as Rui fussed at her for doing the things she did, Psyche most of the time did think about what might happen before she did something. Most being the keyword.
Psyche shook her head. "Not really irate. More overlyprotective. He's really a nice guy until I do something that worries him. Then we have the same old arguement. He walks off to huff and sulk. I go do something else. He finds me. Repeat." A corner of her mouth twitched. "Though sometimes he's right and all. And he never let any outside harm come to me when I was a kit. Now from my antics is another story."

"Yeah, pretty much. I've had to snarl and snap my way out of being caught only a couple of times. I try not to press my luck." Kylar replied, shaking his head. "Some of the humans have these loud sticks that shoot hot metal at you. The metal can severly hurt or even kill you. I like my hide a bit too much to let the humans put pockmarks in it."
Kylar chuckled. "He seemed pretty irate when you left; boy he was angry. You're lucky, you know, I don't thinnk my father was ever that protective unless some kind of predator showed up. He did get a bit more protective of me when we lost my twin, but other than that he mostly just wanted to play."
