Shooting a sidewards glance towards Xiu for the 'aniki', Shun just sort of ignored that and went on to answer her question.
"Once or twice," he replied. There were a number around his home and he had stepped foot in one a couple of times for one reason or another, mostly out of curiosity. It wasn't really his sort of place to be, however. The place was noisy and crowded, though the pachinko parlors were even worse in that regard.
"Why do you ask?"

Xiu hadn't missed the look he gave her, but since he didn't say anything, she took this as a good sign.
"Just curious." She answered quickly, though it was probably obvious that she was trying to come up with something. She jotted "arcade" down in her mental list of possible places, and then looked up at Shun again. "What about...um, swimming? Do you like to swim?" Swimming was fun, wasn't it? Well, so long as you weren't a flame demon.
...And y'know, so long as you could actually swim.

Raising an eyebrow at Xiu, he continued to walk along towards the dorms. He had to shift the bag he had of his own supplies and the larger food one for the Baku a bit, but he still had a good grasp on everything in general.
"I don't swim. I drown," he said flatly.
It was true though.

Xiu couldn't help but stare up at him blankly. He um...he was kidding, right? For some reason, the Baku had always seen Shun as someone who was pretty much capable at everything he did. And swimming? That wasn't all that difficult with a little practice. Sure, Xiu herself wasn't a great swimmer, but she could still stay afloat! Shun was probably just joking. She waited for him to crack a smile or a punchline...
...
Then she realized again who she was talking to. This guy didn't joke--he was all serious business, all the time. "H-have you ever thought of taking lessons?" She squeaked, still a little surprised. Well, looked like the pool was out.

Feeling her stare, he just stared right back at her, not sure what the problem was. When she asked about the lessons, he frowned and looked towards his path again.
"Yes and it doesn't help. I still sink," he grumbled.
Shun had tried to learn in the past, but for whatever reason, he just couldn't get it. There was just something him and deep water that didn't mesh. It frustrated him really. He could do some crazy s**t on the land with flips and stuff but he couldn't swim.
It was better to just.. avoid deep water if he could help it.

Okay, well, if she could help it, Xiu didn't intend on killing Shun anytime soon (or ever, for that matter). With that in mind, the arcade was definitely the safest choice. What was the worst that could happen there, right? And surely Shun would let loose and have fun with a few games! There was something for everyone. Maybe he would even try the dancing game with a little prodding and pleading?
...She needed to remind herself to bring her camera during that outing.
"Hmmm. Aniki?" Another quick side-glance at him to gauge his expression, and then she continued. "Do you think you'll be free next Spookday?" She would have to confirm it with the others if they wanted to come--which hopefully they would, as Xiu would have a little more courage for her "Operation: Fun" plan if she had accomplices.

"Next Spookday?" Shun repeated, taking a moment to think about that, "I don't think I have anything planned that day."
His dark gaze shifted over towards her, eyeing her for the moment. With these last sets of questions it seemed that she had something in mind. She wasn't going to ask him to go to the arcade with her was she? The Reaper frowned a bit at that thought.
"Why do you ask?"

"No reason." She said quickly, raising the hand carrying her bag so that she could wave dismissively, "Just asking. Thinking of inviting some friends for a get together." That wasn't entirely a lie, right?
They passed through the front gates of the school now, and Xiu turned to head towards the dorms. "I don't want to be more trouble than I've already been," She grinned sheepishly, nodding towards the bag of cat food he had been lugging around for her, "You can just put that down in front of the demon dorms, and I'll run up and then back down to grab it myself." She paused, "Unless you wanted to come in for some tea or something. I'm sure I have still have some spookies from the last time Mitsu and I baked too."
She still had no idea that her friends' spookies didn't come out quite as well as they should have. What she did notice when she returned to her dorm, however, was that one of the wooden spoons had been missing a small chunk. How strange.

Though Shun stared at her a little longer, he just sort of dismissed the comments and continued on until they were in front of the demon dorms. Damn that hill was a little rough to climb when carrying this weight. He supposed it was good training though.
At the mention of the spookies, the Reaper frowned and shook his head.
"I think I'll pass on that," he said quietly.
Those spookies were borderline deadly.

"Oh? No?" She seemed a little surprised by the frown and refusal. Maybe he just wasn't hungry? "If you're sure. Maybe next time, then!"
Deciding that she would save him the trip up the stairs, Xiu excused herself briefly so that she could run into the dorm and unlock her door. There, she gently put down Arashi and his carrier, along with the bag. Leaving the door open just a crack, she rushed back outside.
"I-I'll take that now," She panted and held out her arms, gesturing towards the food bag, "T-thank you for all your help, aniki!"
...What? He didn't approve of the nickname, but he didn't disapprove it either, right? So long as he didn't mind, Xiu thought it would be fine to continue calling him that.

"..Maybe," he murmured.
Tea sounded nice, but he didn't want those spookies for sure. Patiently, Shun waited outside while Xiu ran on in to drop off her things, and Arashi. When she returned, he nodded lightly to her and handed her the bag of food, pausing briefly again at the little nickname.
Shaking his head to himself, he took a step back before glancing down the hill towards where the Reaper dorms were.
"I'll be heading back now. See you," he said quietly.

"See you around." She replied, smiling as she awkwardly tried to heft the bag over her shoulder like how Shun had carried it. Determining that she could only keep this up for so long, Xiu briefly freed one of her hands so that she could wave to the boil, and then hurry back to the room.
The first thing she did when she was back was let Arashi out, so that the feline could explore his new home. And the second thing she did?
She went and logged onto Groanspring, scrolling through the list to find Lizzy and Mitsu's pages. Hopefully they would be free next Spookday.
