I love a short bread. Especially that time where a guy shaves and get that stubble. Ooh. I just love rubbing a hand or cheek against that. I don't like women's fashion either. The Romper, ugh I swear some of the things women wear now were things I was put in when I was a toddler. And have you seen those really flat trojan looking scandals? How can women spend so much money for so little? The only tight top I want is a corset...Mmm corset. Bottoms no higher than one inch above my knee, not too tight, and the holes that I have in there came with wear and tear not something I spent $99 to get that look like it got tossed into the whites on laundry day. Anything skimpy I may wear will be solely for the purpose of cosplaying. Well I've said my peace now I'm going to go back to imagining rubbing against beards and stubble.

Which reminds me. I need to shave and then trim me goatie.
Anyways I think I'm going to open threads for character creation. I think I'm going to be pretty open about character creation, but very stern about enforcing consequences. Meaning playing a witch or magician is a dicey prospect. Religiously fanatical Mitrans, power hungry Stygians, and soul thirsty demons. Not too mention flesh hungry cannibals, animals, demons, and mutants. There is also the slavers, assassins, thieves, and barbarians. Unless you end up in the middle of a war; then tides of soldiers. As you will inevitably and repeatedly end up ******** off these things. However? I think it's the vicious fighting you have to do that makes the serenity all that more invested; maybe not even just invested but valued. When you have the volume turned down on life, you tend to enjoy the celebrations of it dramatically more.

I had considered a futuristic setting, something like a second cold war if not really WWIII... I thought about it for a moment, including all the possible countries involved and whatnot, from what I learned in some of my Social Studies classes, news, and other sources... what I came up with was WAY too surreal that the thought scared me so... no second Cold War. ._.;
But I'm not all too fond of the Hyborea idea...

Hmm... what we need to do is settle down and think of what sounds good to the group.

Yeah, well we know we don't want schools nor cafés... I don't want anything that's already been defined specifically that it makes it hard for someone like me who knows jack-squat about it to make a character...

Loel Scythe Yeah, well we know we don't want schools nor cafés... I don't want anything that's already been defined specifically that it makes it hard for someone like me who knows jack-squat about it to make a character... Nah. It just requires a little research and being careful. I totally got by with knowing nothing about conan in the table top game rolling a terrible character. Sometimes it's more about none linear solutions. Things you wouldn't normally think of intuitively. Really just add our world plus low magic; then turn the clock backwards by a lot. There really was a Mitran religion; Setite worshipers have a god corrupted by a demon; and we had naked men and women called picts in full body paint too. All I'm saying is give it a shot. If at any point you decide no, I doubt anyone is going to say one word otherwise. The best thing is the world is really fleshed out for how open it can be.

Wras makes a point... Uh...
Take the Vikings, the Huns, the Mongol Hordes, and a lot of other things, along with thieves and kings and what not... then stash them into an age where there was no full plate, you survived on wits and cunning, the untamed lands had hordes of marauders and monsters and dangerous animals. Skulls and loincloth as your only clothing was acceptable. Steel was a rare thing to having something made from, only found by smiths of one location and their smithing was highly prized by almost everyone.
Did I mention the hordes of cannibals and monsters?

Lady Bern Will this be a dice rolling type of RP? Only if everyone really wanted me to run an sandbox campaign. In which all I would really do is just help navigate the rules. However I'm not seeing this as needing the dice per se. I doubt we would break down into a rabid pissing match.

Yeah even though you guys stand while you do it I can still beat you...um you know just forget I even attempted that.
That's fine with me. I have a slight dislike for the dice roll type of RPs. The first time I had to do one I was doing fairly well in my rolls and I was kicking a**.
My opponent rolled a 4 which wasn't going to do any damage to me and it wasn't going to help him win in the fight. So he quickly deleted his post and reposted with a different and higher roll.
Unfortunately for him I had saw what he had done. And rather than just accuse him of it I just had fun going, "You know a second ago I could have sworn you rolled a 4. Let me edit my post and redo my match cause really I thought that was a 4. I don't know how I confused that with a 4. Those two numbers are nothing a like, I mean that doesn't even look like a 4. Maybe I'm going blind or my computer is messing up to make me think that that was a 4."
He admitted to his cheat and apologized, but it was too late I didn't want to play anymore.

It's as annoying as people who just refuse to either take a hit or get any more than minor scratches from them. Case in point was this tournament I joined... I was playing Krag, a guy from a feral world. This meant he was big.
6'5", 210lbs of pure muscle. He was decked out in composite plates of armor over his body and legs. He didn't wear the helm.
The person he fought was some smaller girl, no where near as strong or tough. Yet somehow, when Krag smashed a glass vase to send shards flying at her, all she got was minor cuts on the face. Oh, he then got on top of her during a charge and went against what she thought he'd try to do by attempting to bite her. She dodges the attack and somehow throws him off while kicking him with super magic kick.
After a bit more annoyances, Krag gets a hold of her staff that she's used to hurt him and somehow block all his attacks with LARGE CLAWS. He went in for a bear hug, taking an attack... she specifically said he thought he was going to swipe at her... but no, she dodges the bear hug. So, I turn it into grabbing the staff and start swinging it around. She keeps a hold of it, so she goes swinging too. It should be noted that they're in a glass museum. The displays, cases, and almost everything is glass, as well as a large stained glass thing.
Krag's smashing her into these things and she 'gets bruised a bit from the impact but the glass would be knocked away instead of shattering and cutting her up.'
I -_- at this and swung her at the ground, proceeding to immediately fall on her. She somehow lands on her feet and has time to turn and kick him in the head, as well as wrench her staff back from being locked against Krag's torso, under his arm.
Sorry, I went off on a rant.
