Colette left her photograph in the notebook to join other stories of amazing, rare, and strange trappings. Sadly, she has a hunch her tale would fall under a just plain weird category. Who left a box of strawberry scented pastries in the middle of the dark forest? And the part that worried her most is that they traded it for the lame berry she left on the trap. Maybe it was a joke? A trap within a trap? All she knew was she wouldn't be eating these.

Finally, Altair was getting somewhere. He'd gotten enough experience trapping for the overseers to allow him into new areas, which so far consisted of some steep, imposing cliffs, and a disgusting swamp. He chose the swamp, lingering there for hours on end, up to his elbows in muck, before he decided to switch enchantments. As he came back on his rounds to check the trap, to his delight, something cool was there...

She smelled it before she even found the trap.
If someone were to tell Riley that she would catch delicious, sugary treats in these traps, she would have been working harder on them. As it were, when she picked up the tiny thing, she knew all of her hard work had paid off. She returned to write all about the little treat she'd found, and how mysterious it was that tiny sugary fluffs could withstand being caught in traps in the first place..Profile: Alania

Adyian had been laying in the grass for awhile now as he had deside to try catching something in this grassy plains to see if he would catch more interesting minipets. Right now he had only had caught junk, coal and ore. He was itching to catch something really cool, as there had been some very interesting tracks by his tripped traps as he had gone to reset them every so often. Hearing the trap being triggered, Adyian got up quickly from his hiding spot to see that this time there was something inside of it. Every so slowly and carefully he lifted up the trap as he didn't want it to get away before he could grab it. Once seeing what was in the trap the Fu Dog was confused to what he had caught. In his trap was this..... Ever so confused by what he had caught, he picked it up and looked it over. But it was still an interesting catch so he decided to kept it to see if something cool would hatch from it. So he put the minipet into his belt pouch and when back to catch more minipets. Diana had been waiting up on a branch in the Dark Forest for one of her traps to work. As she quietly waits she thinks she hears something in the underbrush. She goes to full alert as her gaze zeros in on her stone trap. Then she blinks as she sees something white under the stone of the trap that has been set off. Getting out of the tree she slowly walks over trying her best not to make any noise despite the high heels on her feet. One over there she blinks in surprise to see a sock, of all things, under the rock of her trap. Putting her hand on the sock she picks the rock off of it as she sits down gingerly now holding the strange sock. How had it triggered the trap in the first place? she wondered as she stared at the smelly thing in her hands. Thinking this some type of joke she went to throw it away. But then she remembered that she had a sock missing it's match back home and figured she keep it.

((Don't think this color had been done before? SN Lady Mist)) Levia had pushed her way through the forest long enough to have reached.. well, it wasn't the end per se, but it certainly wasn't a forest any longer. The ground was treacherous and deceiving, the stench of rotting plants wafting in the air. She was curious as to what sort of creatures might dwell in these areas, but setting traps on the muddy pathways was dangerous and difficult to manage. Was that a pair of eyes glowering at her from the water? Surely not. The grombie shuffled along, finally resigned to there being no decent, solid areas to create a trap. She would simply have to use other means. With a bit of bramble and a small dug hole kept from sinking back to its regular state of being using rocks, Levia perched as neatly as she could to watch what might traverse. It didn't take long, which is ironic considering the creature. A snail oozed its way over, slowly, inching with a slimy path behind it. Didn't she have a gazillion of those? No wait, it was a new color. And still it wobbled forward. And it kept going. And going. And-- it started to go over the sticks she had laid out. And it slowly went on. The sticks were precariously balanced as it was, and even the weight of the snail was enough to set them apart and let gravity do the rest of the work. The drop to the bottom of the hole was probably the fastest that snail had ever traveled.

Sebastian had decided it was time to move onto a new area, so he headed for the boggy area. It was nice there, all the little fireflies swimming through the air- it was a romantic atmosphere really. He almost felt bad about setting a trap down there.
But set a trap he did. How he managed to put a cardboard box on boggy ground, who knows. He decided to lay down in the reeds and take a moment to admire the scenery. His eyes closed lazily as he waited for some movement in his trap, but nothing came. Maybe this spot was a dud for minipets?
Sighing, Sebastian picked up his box and was ready to move on ... when he noticed something odd in the bottom of the box.

Well looky there! It seemed as though some minipet had decided to lay its egg in the bottom of his box! Well that was certainly lucky, but Sebastian wasn't about to keep some eggs from its momma. He reached in to pull the egg off the surface. That was odd, it was a bit tough to pull. He tugged again.
Nothing.
The stupid egg was stuck! Sighing, Sebastian decided to take it with him. It's not like he had any other choice, right?((sn is chimarii))

Sin had come across her first pygmy dragon in the forest and taken it home with interest. The little green thing was so small it might as well be a lizard but retained it's title of dragon after setting a small fire to some class notes. So when she came to disassemble her trap in the Bloodstone Cliffs she knew right away what she had caught, except of course this was a different type of pygmy dragon it seemed. The tiny legs she could see were gray not green so instead of releasing it back into the wild Sin decided to keep it. She quickly moved to cage it up and take it back with her and once she had settled it in her closet she came to add to the Scarefari notebook.

Variety is the spice of life, different variations of certain species seem to live in different areas.

Damien made a trek into a new area, just to see if there was anything new than what was in the woods. It was a pleasant place, quiet and bubbly with plenty of fireflies coasting in the damp, cool air. It didn't seem like this area had been invaded by various other traps as he laid his down with care, his bush trap looked a bit out of place with the bubbly bog but, it was all he had as he went behind a tree to nap. It was such a nice area to rest, it was hard to pass up, even when he heard the bush let out a rustle, jarring him out of his rest. As he walked over to take a peek, it was shocking that such a ...... inactive pet managed to jump in his bush. Maybe he fell out of the sky into it? He wasn't going to let the inactive thing sit in the bog, it might sink into it, the poor thing! He couldn't let such horrid thoughts plague his mind about the defenseless mini, so he brushed the errant twigs off its prone body and held it securely in his arms. "Its ok little guy, I got you, your safe with me." And the hound could have sworn, it wiggled a little bit closer into his embrace.

((Another new color I think XD)) Her previous trap had apparently been made for snails. Her basket was overflowing with the creatures in all of their slimy glory. Levia's trap had been sprung once again - she deduced the trick of it being that, while in the bog, a snail can't resist sliming up something that had no slime on it, and so the sticks she laid down over the hole was irresistible to them.

Minipet User-Name: Scheelite Twitch wasn't so sure how he felt about this whole trapping thing. Afterall, if he had been in his turned form well..people would probably be trying to trap him. The were-gerbil gave an agitated tail-twitch at the mere thought of that and glanced down at his trap. Sigh. There was something in it, and his minipets back home could always use more friends... The least he could do was pull the poor thing out and take it back home to some nice friends right? It was MUCH better than being out in the stupid old wild, sheesh. Still, the traps gave him the creeps. So as soon as he was sure the pet was safely freed from the trap and in tow he scurried off.

((Another color XDD *sob*)) Despite having escaped the bog and moving further out to a rocky side, the snails persisted in falling to her traps. Tired of digging pits, Levia shifted to using vines as rope and well placed bushes again. It wasn't long before something snagged, and she eagerly pranced towards the sprung rope. Unexpectedly, Levia discovered her new rock contraption had caught something as well. It was perhaps a little too effective.

Terror (the electric scareon) trotted through the dark forest, marking the path as he went along. He had little interest in the trappers or the poor excuses for traps that they had "hid" in hopes of luring in some poor, dumb creature. He even took the time to dismantle one or two, snickering aloud as the owner would cry out in disbelief after stumbling upon it. Finally Terror happened upon a leafy bush, this one smelled familiar. He hunkered down, batted at it for a minute, and then jumped to all fours and chicken scratched. But before he was out of earshot, he heard the slighest twig give way. He whirled around and was stunned to find.... THIS? A long tumbleweed? Ridiculous!

((Don't think I saw this one posted yet, but checking quick and then editing in RP; Oh, hah, first page, it had already grown so I didn't recognize it. Darn xD))
There were truffles all around. Mushrooms of delicious texture and shape, the scent was fantastic. Well, if you liked that kind of thing. Angel, the Peppermint Treat, decidedly did not like getting dirty. But here he was, being dragged through the mud and the wilderness, trying to catch.. what was he trying to catch, anyway? Sincerity wanted some kind of new pet or something. Angel hardly paid any attention to such trivial things. He would not even have come along, except Crow was busy and Basil was nowhere to be found, so the other Treats were off the hook. He sighed (which was a very cute sound coming from such a cute creature) and poked idly at one of the mushrooms.
Wait, did that one move? With awe and disgust, Angel stared at it a while longer. Nothing happened. However, he helped set up a small trap with some leaves, and a bit of cake. What creature didn't like cake, after all. A short time later, Sincerity and Angel were the proud owners of... a mushroom. What? How had they even trapped a mushroom?... Had Angel accidentally set the trap up over a mushroom and mistaken it for a prize...? Regardless, because it is unpleasant to go home empty-handed after any endeavour, Angel and Sincerity took the mushroom home and made sure to feed it things. Thecakeisalie.

Still trapping in the Misty Fields as he was hiding out of view of his trap waiting for something to be trapped. Adyian was playing with some blades of grass to keep himself amused were he wouldn't fall sleep waiting for something to trigger his trap. Once hearing the trap being triggered, he got up from laying in the grass and walked over to it hoping that something was in it this time. Getting up to the trap he didn't hear any thing moving around and just sighed that it was a false alarm as he had been getting a lot of those. But once he lifted up the trap he found this... Just laying there under his trap. Cocking his head to the side as he was really confused to how an egg could have been caught in a trap. Shaking his head as his catch was strange to him. Still he was going to keep his prize and pocked the egg and reset his trap to catch more. ((Sn:naggeela))
