"Thanks..." Izumi smiled lightly, not an easy feat considering the recent events. "D-do you want anything?" Even if he was playing guard for the woman, the least she could do was be hospitable. She stood and exited the bathroom, which wasn't much of a place to sit and be comfortable.

He nodded when she thanked him, but when she asked if he wanted anything, he followed the gesture with a shake of his head "not right now, thanks." He wasn't feeling like he should have anything to eat or drink at the moment, his nerves were a little frayed right now, even if he was doing a good job of not showing it. "if yer cool with it, I'm ganna go around the house a bit, make sure things are locked up."
He stood and followed her out, using a cloth he had taken to clean off his own blood. "Your other Pokemon evolved" He noted, trying to make more casual talk, to help calm the situation.

"Alright..." Izumi went over to the couch and sat, pulling her knees up to her chest and curling into a ball against the arm of the sofa, watching Jerome walk around the apartment. "Mm..." She nodded, "S-she evolved at the contest... after I woke up and..." And Wheatley was gone.
It was quiet in the apartment, the only sounds being the rumbling of the furnace or the ice dropping in the freezer. Izumi had never noticed the city noises before, but with things in the apartment as quiet as they were, the sounds were all the more evident. There were sirens, and loud popping sounds, maybe a car backfiring, people driving by with their bass up much too high, horns honking, the occasional wild pokemon call. The mechanic burried the bottom of her face in her knees so that only her eyes were visible. She flinched periodically, startled by every small sound she couldn't immediately identify.

These were sounds Jerome was used to, they kinda blended in the background. It was the quiet of HQ sometimes that bugged him, the desert so still... It took him a while to get used to it. but there were some nights he got surprisingly uninterrupted sleep. though sharing a room with other rockets made that fairly rare still.
He had made his way around the house, taking his time to make sure he knew where all the exits were, where everything was kept... he would glance outside the windows, at the rapidly darkening sky.
One he was finished, he headed back into the main room that Izumi was in, pausing by the side of the couch, watching her. He had never seen such a... well, tragic thing before, never seen someone curled up in such fear, and emotional pain. In his world, people like this didn't exist...
"Hey" He said, walking over to stand in front of her. "Uh, wanna put in a movie or something?" If anything that might help serve as a distraction for the night.

"O-okay." Izumi looked up at the dread-locked man from the ball she'd curled up into, "What do you want to watch? I-I have some DVDs on the shelves by the TV..." Surprisingly, at least for the area she lived in, the mechanic had a fairly large flat screen television hanging on the wall across from the couch, with tall, thin shelves flanking either side of it. She was a girl who liked her tech. "You can pick... if you want..."
Izumi noticed that she still had her boots on, and pulled them off, getting out of her ball to lean over and put them neatly beside the couch. "D-do you want popcorn? I can... um... pop some..."

When she told him to pick something, he looked over at the set up she had. pretty damn sweet, he had to admit, though he probably wans't going to have any idea how to use it.
When she offered Popcorn at least, he glanced over his shoulder as he crouched down by the bottom of the rack with DVDs. "Sure" He replied, simply. It would give her something to do, while he went over what movies she had.
He wasn't to surprised that she had a lot of sci-ri, and robot themed movies, most of them he had never seen before, so he wasn't really sure what to pick. So, he grabbed one at random, pulling the DVD out and without even looking at it, un-clipped the DVD.
It was here the dark gangster stood in front of the entertainment center, eyes scanning over it. "... Where do I put it?"

While Jerome was picking out a movie, a few beeps and the sound of the microwave firing up came from the kitchen. "In, um, the side of the television, there is a DVD player built in..." Before long, escalating popping sounds were heard, followed by Izumi coming out with a bowl of popcorn, curling back up in her seat with it. "W-what are we watching?" She said before putting one piece of popcorn in her mouth.

Leaning off to the side, to look at the side of the TV as she told him, Jerome spotted the little slot for the DVD, and with a small grunt of understanding, reached over to put the disk into the player.
As Izumi walked back into the Room, one of the popcorn pieces suddenly lifted up into the air, floated there for a second than disappeared with a soft 'crunch'
and Izumi had a good question, what were they watching? Jerome blinked, searching for where he had put the cover, "This one" He told her, holding up the case for Wall-e once he grabbed it off the coffee table.

Izumi squeaked when one of the popcorn pieces became possessed and floated momentarily before disappearing. It took the girl a few moments of wide eyed cowering before she remembered Jerome's pokemon.
"Oh-" A small smile formed at the corners of her mouth, "I like that one..." Of course she did, Izumi liked every movie she owned; The movie Jerome picked, however, just happened to be her favorite.

Jerome noticed the little smile on her face, just a little one, but still. he turned to DVD, to look at just what he had picked, Well, had a robot on it, so yeah, she would like it, and it looked to be one of those CG cartoon shows.
Seeing as he was putting this on for Izumi, he guessed it didn't matter, he didn't think she would judge him for watching a kids show. "I've never seen it before." He told her, putting the case back down onto the table and making his way around back over to the couch.

"I think you'll like it..." Izumi said quietly; Jerome was nice, there wasn't any way he couldn't like the movie.
The idea to distract the mechanic seemed to be working. As soon as the movie started, her silver-eyes were glued to the television, the small smile on her face widening slightly. After a few pieces of popcorn, she realized that Jerome would probably want some too, and actually uncurled from her ball to move to the center of the couch, holding the bowl out for the gangster.

He chuckled when she said that he would like it. "Alright," Settling in to watch the movie, every now and than he would move, rubbing at his hands, or arm.
The movies so far wasn't that bad, little robo dude wandering around a waist-land alone. Bro had come back, being ivsible again, floating somewhere behind Jerome with his arms crossed, watching the movie as well.
Izumi was pretty quiet throughout the movie, but when she moved, he glanced over, finding her holding the bowl of popcorn out toward him.
Inked eyes stared down at the bowl for a moment, then glanced back up at her. Grinning a little in thanks, before reaching to the bowl for a few pieces.

Thirty minutes into the movie and Izumi was still wide-eyed and quietly munching the last of the popcorn, pausing periodically to share with the gangster sitting next to her. Forty-five minutes into the movie and the popcorn was gone, the bowl sitting on the floor. Izumi was slumped on the couch, yawning now and again and rubbing her eyes, not willing to stop watching her favorite movie. An hour into the movie, and Izumi was slowly falling further and further over towards Jerome, struggling to keep her eyes open.
One of the robots got locked outside of the space ship and a tiny giggle sounded from the girl . Her eyes were shut, but there was a small smile on her face, left over from before she'd finally fallen asleep. By the end of the movie, her sleeping form had lost all ability to keep itself upright, and was leaning against Jerome.

Okay, for a kids movie, this wasn't so bad. Jerome chuckles at a few parts, and it was... cute. at least, thats what he thought, he probably wouldn't go saying that though. But, it was entertaining, and more importantly, it seemed to be cheering Izumi up. That was the goal after all.
Lost in what was happening in the screen, Jerome had no idea Izumi had fallen asleep until he suddenly felt a pressure against his side, and shoulder. Blinking, the rocket looked over, to see Izumi's eyes closed, clearly sleeping.
He sat there for a time, watching her, as if wondering what to do. Lean her over on the other side of the couch to let her sleep? bring her too her room? Naw... might wake her up. Well, to be honest he didn't find anything wrong with her sleeping there... at least for now, she looked content there anyway.
mentally shrugging, Jerome let Izumi sleep on him, looking back over at the TV to let the rest of the movie play out.
