User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.So long he's still awake, the multi-layered defensive spells Ace casted on himself is still working. Ace tries to keep himself from fainting from exhaustion as Ringmaster Sil tries to remove the heavy materials off of him. While she pulls him about half way out from underneath the rubble, he caught a glimpse of her teary face. “I’m okay…” Ace said weakly out of habit, even though he doubts that he is. The young man is worn out, and he doesn’t know what is causing it. He also doesn’t know what caused him in a half tired state prior the building collapsing on him. His weak mind does sense a bit of magic on him at the moment though, but his isn't willing to figure what that magic(s) is/are.

I… don’t know…” Ace answered Sil's question, trying to make out his memories. “There was light… A… bright light. And two blonds? The image inside his head showed Alex, who was facing him at the time, but the other blonde that was standing between them had his back facing toward Ace. Before the magician could connect some of his memories further, Ace heard a voice coming from behind and felt himself being lifting completely out of the rubble. Bee, who had been standing out of the way, ran up Ace’s body and placed its face on top of his. After a second or two, the bunny cries out loud after figuring out that its owner had somehow hit his head very hard, causing him to be unable to recall what had happened earlier. His wounds must be very bad.

…Do I know you?” Ace asked, looking up at an unfamiliar face. The physical contact between the two man allows Ace to feel magic coming from the other man (indicating that this person is also a magician like he is), but Ace couldn't figure out why the stranger felt familiar to him. Letting out a short laugh, Ace apologizes to him. “I’m sorry. I’m not well right now.” Ace's mind must be playing tricks with him right now. That warning male voice from earlier (prior the collapse of the building) must be related somehow.

Trying to upright himself, Ace quickly learns that his own body is bruised all over. The wounds aren’t fatal, but he may require at least 3 days rest from heavy physical activities. Where was I…? Ace tries to remember what he was thinking before, prior being interrupted by the stranger who had helped him. Getting distracted again by the voices of the unharmed chimeras, Ace quickly remembered Alex's odd state from before. Unsure whether Alex’s safe or not, Ace turned around so quickly that he fell on one knee after getting out of the other man’s arms. Looking upward, facing his ringmaster who’s still shaking, Ace becomes even more worried.

What’s going on? Why is this happening? Both of his hands start clenching as he get angry. Why is it that his mind's working against him?

Dichomeris acuminata. Acronicta americana. Sitotroga cerealla. Animalia. Diascia barberae. Cosmos sulphureus. Ricinus communis. Plantae. Gibberish. Alexander was soon recalling the names of the various insects and plants nearby, murmuring under his breath as he focused from one object to another, attempting to drown out the noise, the thoughts, the internal wishes.
But something distracted him.

Alexander looked down to his legs and found a white kitten. He recognized it as the Blue Magician's daemon. "Ah, si elle n'est pas Méphistophélès lui-même. Enfin viennent chercher mon âme après vingt-quatre longues années? Eh bien, permettez-moi de dire que je n'aimais pas ma vie de péché, mais je n'accepte pas la divinité soit. Alors dépêchez-vous, et me mettre à l'enfer déjà. Je suis fatigué de cette vie.⒈" He spoke softly, afraid that the white cat was simply a cloud, a phantom, soon to disappear. He reached out anyways to pet the animal. Alexander needed to confirm what exactly was real, he needed to feel something as tangible as the blades of grass he laid upon. But what if nothing was real? What if the Red King was sleeping, and Alexander was only a dream? Merely a figment of someone else's imagination. Possibly dead? Was this hell? Could this life be hell?

His hand stopped in the air, only a hair's-breadth away from the white tufts and fluffs.

Blue. A blue blur. Fear. Conflict. White lightening. Hot. Flashing. Something so familiar... Alexander couldn't notice all of this before in their previous encounter as he was no where near as sober as now. Static. Static. A blank.

[[Omg.. I just realized how perfect Alex's age is...]]
[[And lol.. I grabbed random scientific names.]]

⒈Ah, if it isn't Mephistopheles himself. Finally come to collect my soul after twenty four long years? Well, allow me to say that I did not enjoy my life of sin, but I do not accept divinity either. So hurry, and bring me to hell already. I am tired of this life.

"Do I know you?" came the bleary response from the smaller magician. Meldellevo shook his head as the young man laughed. "I'm sorry. I'm not well right now."

"That much is clear. What happened?" said Meldellevo as the younger man struggled to right himself. He watched carefully for sudden actions, but was still surprised when the magician twisted and fell on his knee, anger and confusion creeping into his face in exponentially increasing increments. Mel glanced over at Sil. She still didn't look like she was in any state to help.

"Sir, are you all right?" he asked, placing a worried hand on his back. "We should probably get you to a resting place. You've obviously been through a lot. You need rest."

It was at this point that Mel began to notice the whimpers of the chimera, and he understood, with a crushing guilt, that they were terrified and probably gravely injured. We should never have come back here! Why would you insist on such a thing?

Don't be like that. How were we to know? Luciano quirked his head at the man in front of him. He had his arm outstretched, as if to pet the kitten, but had suddenly frozen like ice, horror and incomprehension vying for positions on his face. Would you look at this guy, Mel? What a mess.

You've no right to speak about any of them like that. What did you do to them after I left?

I already told you. Nothing more to it. Luciano let out another meow. Lord above, this guy is screwed up. Thinks I'm Mephistopheles. Life has done a number on this one.

Luciano lifted his head a touch and gave the stunned man's hand a lick. He nuzzled the hand, leaping up into his lap and purring, rubbing his head against the drunk's chest. Don't say I didn't do anything to help, Mel. Animal therapy is hella expensive, and this guy's getting an adorable kitten to help out. For free. He looked up at the blonde with doleful grey eyes and let out another meow, pawing at his torso.

if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears flowed into the ocean

As they moved closer and closer to the scene of the accident, Icarus couldn't help but feel that nagging sense of foreboding in the back of his mind grow more and more prominent. The stench of smoke and debris filled the air, making him cringe slightly in disgust. Whatever had happened here, it had obviously been quite big.

Upon reaching the site, the ringmaster was struck with a wave of horror and disbelief. He had never imagined it to be an accident of such terrible proportions. It seemed that when the shack had exploded and collapsed, there had been people inside. Icarus couldn't help but remember the fire at Stelle, and suddenly felt very fortunate that no-one had been hurt on that occasion. Compared to this, they had come out quite unscathed.

Wishing to provide Silencieux, who looked as if she was going to have a panic attack anytime soon, with some assistance, or at least help look for any more wounded in the rubble, Icarus dismounted the horse immediately, forgetting that there was a bit of distance between him and the ground in his excitement. His prosthetic leg failed to support him when he landed unsteadily, and he fell. By the time he managed to get back onto his feet, which wasn't actually quite long, the brilliant white steed was gone, transformed back into an adorable white kitten and in the process of comforting one of the wounded men, while Meldevello was tending to the other. Icarus was admittedly impressed by his illusionist's efficiency and willingness to help.

Quickly moving closer to the wreckage, the brunette's expression dropped into a frown as he tried to clear away a bit of the wood and rubble with his walking stick, seeing if he could find anyone or anything else trapped underneath it all. Well, Noire won't be performing for us tonight, I presume, he thought to himself dryly. Looking over to one of the injured, he recognized it as the man who had come to report about the fire alarms at the tent earlier. What could have happened in such a short span of time?

Not able to find much on the outskirts of the rubble, and hesitant to move deeper lest he step on anyone, Icarus decided to leave command of the situation to Silencieux, as soon as she calmed down. This was rather foreign territory for him, and there wasn't much he could do, seeing as he had no idea what had been inside the shack, or if anyone else was in there. Meldevello and the Noire ringmaster seemed to be attending the blue-haired man from before, so the brunette walked to the side of a blonde man sitting on the ground with Meldevello's kitten in his lap. Animal therapy perhaps? In any other situation, Icarus would have found the scene adorable, but the atmosphere was to grave for such whimsical thoughts right now.

He got down on a knee next to the other man, stiff prosthetic needing a slight push before it would bend. Icarus was no doctor, but he could tell from the blonde's expression that he was most likely shocked, or confused. His eyes- no, his entire expression, seemed completely blank, which didn't leave much for the brunette to interpret, and that scared him slightly.

Ignoring the cat's antics for a moment as it pawed at the blonde's torso in a playful manner, the Ringmaster of Stelle noticed the other man had a hand held midway in the air, as if going to pick up or touch something close to the ground. Icarus took to the hand in both of his, to announce his presence in case the man was too shocked to process words, or if the accident had rendered him deaf or blind. These, of course, were worse case scenarios, but Icarus wasn't quite sure what to do in this sort of situation, and in light of recent events, it seemed wise to expect the worse. Speaking in a soft voice as not to startle the man, Icarus asked, "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

◆ Mademoiselle Silencieux ◆

The touch made Sil flinch and jump to the side, looking up to the man next to her a bit wide eyed. She was so out of focus and touch with the world around her, her senses simply were not behaving the way they should have been. The rival circus’s magician’s words were garbled and drowned out by the own voices in her head, and she couldn’t make out what the man was saying to her. She could see a look of concern on his face, though it wasn’t really connecting in her head. She watched his hand move towards her again, and she instinctively moved back.

Her attention quickly snapped back to Ace, the woman straining to hear what he was saying. Her thoughts cleared enough for his explanation, though like Alex’s, it didn’t provide much help. She tried desperately to piece together anything she could, but there was just nothing. Nothing at all to help. As she thought, she pulled away more rubble, trying to free her poor chimeras that lay trapped beneath. Her breath seemed labored, but not from physical exhaustion, but from mental and a level of anxiety that slowly grew higher and higher.

From the corner of her eye, Sil could spot the other Ringmaster, poking through the debris as well. They didn’t really have any business helping her, but they did anyways. Part of her was thankful, since she knew that there would be no way that someone like her could handle this on their own. The other part scolded her and snapped. It was a feminine voice, but not one that belonged to her. It was familiar, but the shape shifter just could not place just why it was.
What is wrong with you, child? You should know better! They are not being generous. They’re looking to gain your favor! They want something from you. Do not trust them.

Sil shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She couldn’t work with these voices nagging at her. There was a bit of relief as finally finally she was able to spot one of the chimeras in its cages under the debris. It seemed to be okay, and it stared up at Sil with a pathetic look of fear and longing for help. Hopefully they would all be okay. She would have to relocate them for the time and rebuild the stables, but as long as they were all okay, Sil wasn’t too worried about the work load.

The shape shifter twisted around upon hearing loud thumping footsteps hurrying in her direction. It was Veli, which gave the poor woman even more relief. Once the chimera had stopped in front of his mistress, he sat down, awaiting her directions. Sil’s voice was still very shaky, and she still spoke quietly. “The s-show is…is going to be canceled tonight, Veli. I..I need to to bring the rest of the troupe h-here. Now Though she tried to keep her usual stern tone to her voice, it was easy to tell how much she had faltered. Veli only gave a nod in response, turning away to hurry off once more.

Mel turned as thundering steps trundled towards them, and he saw a creature headed towards them. He was thrown off by its strange appearance, until he realized that it, too, was a chimera. Oddly, it didn't emit the same melancholy aura as the other chimera, and seemed healthier overall. He watched as it sat obediently before Noire's Ringmaster, as a pet sits before an owner.

"The s-show is ..." he glanced between the other magician and Madame Silencieux. On the one hand, the young man was growing more and more angry and confused; but on the other, the rival Ringmaster was clearly not doing so well herself, her voice shaking and almost visibly trembling. He stood slowly as Silencieux finished giving her orders and the chimera she had addressed as Veli rushed away. He would have to deal with her first, and if the other magician felt it necessary to get in his way --

Well, I've trounced him once before, he thought morbidly as he walked slowly towards the Ringmaster. He stopped an arm's length away, not wanting to frighten her more.

"Madame," he said gently. "I must insist that you take a seat for now and collect yourself." He waved his hand and levitated some of the rubble into the shape of a chair, propping it up against what used to be the entry. Not the most comfortable throne, but it would have to do. "A shaken master does not lead well," he continued, extending an arm to direct her attention towards the seat. "Please leave shifting away the rubble to me."

There. He had done all he could with her. Without waiting for an answer, he turned back to the other magician. "I realize this is a lot to ask of you immediately following what must have been a most traumatic event," he said, bending onto one knee to study a pile of earth and wood that was burying one of the poor chimera. "But if you are capable, I would appreciate assistance in removing the rubble from the cages. If my ears do not deceive me, there are some quite unhappy animals underneath the wreckage."

Alexander cringed as he felt the warm, rough tongue on his hand. He pulled back his arm, terrified of the small creature. But his fear was mute, only spoken through his wide eyes as he grabbed the top of his scarf and pulled his higher and higher, so that his eyes barely looked over the blue and dirtied wool. At some point, he had sat up, and the ball of fluff ended up on his lap, but Alexander didn't react. Instead, he froze. A living statue with only a frenzy of rapid eye movements, jumping between objects and people, always flicking back to the kitten. Cat. Mademoiselle. White. Ace. Devil. Random guy over to the side that's making Alexander start to feel claustrophobic. Greed. Blue demon. God.

His breathing was heavy and rapid as his mind began to simply overload from the incoming information bombarding his brain. Then suddenly someone touched him. Random guy over to the side that's making Alexander now feel definitely claustrophobic touched him. He touched his hand, the one that was halfway between another world and Alexander's own.
Two seconds. It only took two seconds. His mind focused, his eyes were locked onto the stranger, everything was foggy, and his breathing returned to normal. Pulling his hand away, he replied flatly before lowering his hand, which brought the scarf back down around his neck. "Yes and no." Alexander broke eye contact to only stare with his indifferent eyes at the kitten on his lap.
He grabbed the small cat by it's scruff and lifted it up to his own eye level. His expression was once again blank, but this time of an different sort. An uncaring one. Empty. Dead. "What do you think, little one?" He asked before standing up, without his eyes leaving the kitten. Suddenly, Alexander dropped the cat and kicked it when it reached near his foot.

Ignoring of whatever happened to that particular shapeshifter, his attention returned his preferred one. A blur. The same dark blur of madness that is only conjured in the name of Fear and Weakness. Rubble. Everything ruined. This was not the Mademoiselle that he had loved, that he had admired, that he had chose to follow. But there was nothing Alexander could or would do. There were others that would be of better assistance to her. He was useless in the situation, and yet he couldn't mind as this wasn't the first time the ringmaster broke down or nearly would.
Alexander turned to the stranger. The man that brought him back to the fog of the Unreal City. "It deserved it." He said cryptically, before soon leaving the man in order to assist with the clearing of the rubble.

[[Derp.. Alexander just drop kicked a kitten.]]

((OOC: A kitten? A small, defenseless, adorable kitten? You're paying for that!!))

Luciano let out a loud mewl as he felt the impact in his frail kitten body. Son of a b***h!

He twisted instinctively, the kitten's body obeying nature and finding gravity quickly. Bristling, he began to glow angrily. By the time the pads of his paws grazed the earth again, he had grown much larger, becoming a snowy white lion, grey eyes flashing madly. He shook himself, his mane seeming to stand on end with the rage coursing through him, a low growl rolling in his throat.

A little ways away, Meldellevo had just turned away from the other magician and was studying one of the cages. Good. Mr. Conscience isn't going to rain on this parade.

He saw the fortune teller make his way to the rubble. Shouldn't have let him live. Luciano's eyes narrowed and zeroed in on the offending individual, let out a thundering roar before launching himself towards the blonde.

Luciano pounced: nearly 600 500 pounds of raw power bore down upon the drunk, and the lion's sharp gleaming teeth were bared in an angry snarl.

The woman looked from the rubble, to the magician, to the makeshift chair. She shook her head lightly, returning to the mess beneath her. “No. If you try to handle these creatures, they’ll tear you apart.” She warned, giving a bit of a sideways glare. At this point, however, Sil couldn’t really care if someone got mauled by one of the chimeras. She was not in the mood to really deal with any of this, much less someone telling her what to do. She had a bit of a scowl on her face, her irritation growing over her other feelings.

She looked up again, noticing Alexander approaching the rest of them. Her look of annoyance shifted to that of concern as she studied him. From what she could tell from just a few moments ago, he was in no condition to being doing much. The man concerned her quite a bit actually, this instance aside. She wasn’t much of a psychologist, if she was, she would have already admitted to her plummeting sanity. There was something about the man that just worried her. His constant intoxication, and on the rare cases his behavior when he wasn’t. She was never sure what to do, so normally she let him go about his business and she tried her hardest to ignore her concern.

Quickly Sil’s thoughts crashed back to the present reality as the large white feline lunged and tackled the blonde soothsayer. She froze. Where did it even come from? It wasn’t one of her chimeras, she was sure of that. It was attacking him though. Noire’s fortune teller. Her fortune teller. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back. With everything that happened, this was the last thing she needed. Her ears were held back as far as they could go, and the sound of a deep growl emitted from the back of her throat.

The change was quick, precise, almost like it was practiced. Her bone and muscle structure changed into a feline shape, and all of the traces of her humanoid form were absent. The fur that covered her body was thick and black, with a hint of purplish rosettes spotting her body. A melanistic leopard from the looks of her, though a bit larger in size to match the cat that had attacked Alex. Her muscles flexed as she crouched down, letting out a threatening feline scream before springing towards the opposing shape shifter.

if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears flowed into the ocean

Icarus hadn't had much time to interpret the other man's vague answer the blonde had promptly picked the white kitten up and drop-kicked, drop-kicked it, an adorable, innocent kitten of all things, and then muttered something about the poor creature deserving it. That was confusing, and slightly shocking. With half a mind to go and pick up the abused kitten, the ringmaster just stared at the blonde with an apprehensive expression, not quite sure what to do. He obviously wasn't very physically hurt if he could still go and drop kick small furry animals.

Moments later, before Icarus quite knew what was going on, a huge white lion pounced on the man. Forget confused and shocked, he was now scared. Where the hell did that lion come from? It was going to kill the blonde man! Looking around to see the reactions of the others, the ringmaster noticed Madame Silencieux looked on the verge of snapping. Her ears were pulled back, and her teeth were bared as she growled, giving her the appearance of an angry cat about to pounce. (Wait, those ears were real?) He wouldn't blame her if she did, but at the same time, he couldn't blame himself for fearing what would happen if she did.

What he never expected would happen was for the Noire Ringmaster to suddenly morph into a giant black leopard. The process of her transformation was swift and precise, almost practiced, if it were possible for one to practice turning yourself into a completely different species in the blink of an eye. Icarus didn't know whether to laugh in amazement, scream in terror or faint from the shock. All he knew was the his fight or flight instinct was reacting very strongly, and very much in the favor of hauling a**.

That's when the Silencieux-leopard (Was that even her? What was going on?) did as predicted, and pounced at the lion, which in turn, was still attacking the man. Right now, the only conclusion that Icarus could make out of this entire situation was, Oh stars, that man is going to get crushed so badly.

While one part of his mind was in a near-catatonic state of shock, fear and confusion, a small corner was doing its best to process the recent chain of events, most prominently what had happened to Silencieux. The question of the albino lion's origin was a matter that was pushed aside for later. There's no way she could have planned for this to happen, so unless she has the entire circus grounds rigged, this shouldn't be a trick... But if this is a set-up, then what is the motive behind it? There's a slight possibility that... In any case, I will clearly need to be much more careful from now on. This little visit is much more than it seems.

While these internal speculations were going on, the shocked part of his brain finally snapped to coherency, and a solution became blatantly clear. These creatures, whatever they were, were animals. Animals could be tamed. Therefore, if someone, possibly he, could buy some time before the two beasts killed the man, then he could send for...

"Aemillio! Someone get Aemillio!"

Alexander began to count his steps as he walked away. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, and finally. A split second before the roar, he threw himself to the side. By the time, he landed on the ground, the white tiger had already pounced, now mid-air in the exact moment Alexander was on the ground.
Seeing the future did come with benefits.
But what happened next, Alexander failed to predict as he didn't think he needed to know this far ahead.

The Mademoiselle had transformed into another large cat. -My, today seemed to be feline day- A growl announced her change as soon she also pounced, catching the white lion in the air to crash down where Alexander was lying, where he missed the first attack only to be incidently involved in the second. About 500 pounds of muscle, bone, fat, and fur of two large cats came down onto the poor man who only had a small episode a while back of the utter fear of a small kitten.
Momentum. Force. Direction. Velocity. Acceleration. Pressure.
The weight alone squeezed and pressed his rib cage, leaving his lungs little room to inhale, as they depressed with every breathe. "The irony is delicious." He mentally joked to himself as he struggled to breathe, despite his arms desperately pushing against the white lion's body away from his chest.
The adrenaline was already pumping in his veins, easing his pain, but it was still a sharp knife everywhere on his body. He was more than sure that he broke more than just a couple of bones at this point, including a few ribs. And having two fat cats on him wasn't helping.

[[Oh, baby. You know how much I love ******** s**t up.]]
[[And I'm going to assume that Lucie doesn't weight 600 pounds, but rather that's the pressure of his attack. Else he'd a fat cat.]]

((OOC: Oops, yeah, I misread the Google search results. Fixed now: lion nerfed to 500; higher than normal for crushing power, but not too obese.))

Meldellevo waved a hand at the Ringmaster. "I won't try to aggravate them. I only wish to help dig them out of this rubble."

He started when he heard a thundering roar, and he whipped his head around to see that a large white lion was pouncing on the blonde fortune teller. Horrified, he looked immediately to the lion's eyes, and saw that they were a clear grey. Luciano, NO!

Either he was truly too angry, or Luciano had blocked off the connection, as he received no response. Panicked, Meldellevo leapt to his feet and began running towards the soon-to-be-deadly charge. Before he could get even halfway there, however, a black blur streaked by him, nearly knocking him off his feet. He watched, mouth slightly agape, as a leopard charged the scene as well, piling on to the scuffle.

Luciano let out a surprised wheeze as another large cat sprang onto his back, knocking him to the ground. He locked eyes with the new beast, searching for and securing a telepathic connection. So it was sentient. Interesting. Go and climb a tree, fool, he's a dead man. Out loud, he roared to emphasize his point, raised his front paws, and gave a mighty blow to the leopard.

Meanwhile, Meldellevo started as Icarus began shouting for Aemillio. He had been trying unsuccessfully to get Luciano to respond to him, but was repeatedly hitting a block in communication. He could see what Icarus was trying to do, bringing in the tamer, and began running to go find the man. "I'll see if I can find him," he shouted to Icarus, sprinting around to the stables. Where was he??

◆ Mademoiselle Silencieux ◆

It took the shape shifter a moment to realize just where she had landed. With some quick thinking, if one could call such angry, jumbled up thoughts such, she latched onto the skin of the lion’s neck, flipping her body over so as to flip him over as well and away from the man. To be honest, Sil had next to no idea just what she was doing. She was a pacifist most of the time, so at the moment she was just fumbling around and hoping for the best. Part of her was ashamed that her anger had even led her to this point, but it was far too late to do anything about it now.

There was a small moment of surprise upon hearing the telepathic message. Not that Sil wasn’t already used to hearing voices in her head, but that it was seeming to come from the lion. Once the shock of the message finished sinking in and Sil actually comprehended what he had said, her ears pinned back and she bared practically every tooth in her muzzle. “Not while I’m around.” She managed to hiss out, having to shift the feline vocal chords in order to produce a human like sound. She hissed again as the lion struck her, glaring harshly as she folded her back legs under, kicking roughly at the underbelly of the other feline.

Child what are you doing?! The harsh, feminine voice once again scolded. You’re going to get us both killed! Stop this at once! Sil shook her head, trying to block out the voice as much as she could. She slipped away from the lion, getting back up to her feet. The side of her face stung from the strike, though the slices in her skin were easily shifted away, as if they had never even been there. She crouched down, staring at the lion, ready to strike again.

Unfortunately she began to let her thoughts trail off. The both of us? The last time Sil had checked, the voices in her head were nothing more than the result of her imagination and some cruel case of post-traumatic stress disorder. They had never connected themselves to her. She tried to dismiss the thought, blaming it on the anxiety and stress of the situation, but it still didn’t set right with her.

The sound of the stables collapsing on themselves could easily be heard through the circus grounds. Aemilio was busying himself with making sure that the panicked patrons where in a location that they wouldn’t be in the way. After tending to that duty, he sprinted once again towards the back of the grounds, to see if he could off assistance in any way possible. It wasn’t until he spotted Meldellvo that the unicorn man stopped, panting slightly. “Senior! What is going on here?!” He questioned, looking around the area. Only one building had collapsed, and from the sounds of it, there were some sorts of animals trapped beneath.

He could easily help with the animals, if Noire didn’t already have the situation taken care of, but from the looks of it they really didn’t. He scanned the grounds more, trying to piece together just what all was going on. From the looks of it, some of the animals had already gotten out and where fighting. Unsettled, Aemilio pulled back the corner of his mouth and turned back to Meldellvo, waiting for just the smallest idea of where he should even begin.

((Geck. Aemilio's part is ridiculously short. I'll have to do better in the next post.; ))

Luciano realized with a start that he was dealing with a shapeshifter when the leopard managed to speak aloud. That was interesting; did she have magic powers as well then? He was about to inquire, but paused, intrigued, as he heard another voice intrude upon what he had thought would be a private conversation between the two feline forms.

He rolled onto his feet as the leopard slipped away, probing the mind again. Had someone intruded? ... No. This was a voice that was settled in. From the mind of the leopard herself. He shook his head, fluffing his mane, watching and probing carefully. Could it be that the shapeshifter was possessed in the same manner that he possessed Meldellevo? It was possible. He smiled as well as the lion's anatomy would allow, wondering if he was fighting any old friends. Or old enemies.

He eyed the fortune teller behind the crouching leopard. His tail twitched. What a nuisance, this defensiveness. When he looked back, he saw with annoyance that the leopard's face had healed over. Right. Shape-shifters were a b***h to fight. Perhaps he could speak to it. Who else is in here? he said to the leopard, crouching and prowling, pacing in front of the other cat.

It was at this moment that Aemilio turned the corner, and Meldellevo almost bumped into the distressed man.

"Speak of the devil," he said, letting out a puff of air. "I - I'm not entirely sure what went down here, good man." He paused, pursing his lips as the unicorn man scanned the scene, waiting for him to turn back.

"This is a lot to ask you to do on what was supposed to be a nice night out, and it's dangerous, but we had hoped to find you and acquire your assistance in helping calm the animals and break up that fight." He sighed. "At the moment, it seems to be the most dangerous situation."

Tiny Shapeshifter

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.I’m not fine,” Ace said irritably. Didn’t he just say that he wasn’t? “I can’t,” he said while shaking his head at the man’s suggestion of rest, “not like this.” The barn’s in shambles with the chimeras stuck underneath it. Ringmaster Sil’s crying for the circus, and Alex’s lying on the ground nearby, with someone who he believes to be Ringmaster Icarus tending to him, along with a white cat that he had never seen before in Cirque du Noire. What Ringmaster Sil said soon after was true, the chimeras would tear the man apart if he tries to lay a hand on them, especially when they’re not in an uncomfortable state of mind at the moment.

If Ace could just focus on what’s in front of him right now, and ignore the pain, he should be able to help out if he pushes his limits a bit further than usual. While the other man ignores Sil’s warning (after having asked Ace to help him with the rubble), Ace slowly stood up and regained his balance, not keeping his eyes away from Alexander. There’s something about the white cat that bothered him. Like the other man, the white cat seems familiar to him, but he couldn’t pinpoint as to where he had seen it before. These two (un)familiars bother Ace somehow…

The next thing he knows, Alexander kicked the poor cat away which in turn, turned into a white lion right before his eyes. “Ah~” Ace took a few steps backward, unsure of what it was that he just saw. Is this a dream? He must be in a dream. There’s no way that all of this is happening. Right, his ringmaster turning into a leopard in front of strangers is also a part of a dream. That should also explain why his mind’s not doing so well. No, wait… If his body is hurting this much, then he’s definitely not dreaming. Oh, shi- Ace couldn’t believe that he was thinking all of this when Alexander’s being crushed by the lion’s force, but is also having to deal with the angry leopard Ringmaster Sil.

Bee!” Ace yells out to his Magi Bani companion, “Help get Alexander out of there!” Raising his arms, the magician casts a spell on Bee, not only increasing its size (no larger than that of the two felines), but into that of a wolf for better defense and maneuver. Bee answers Ace’s command in barks and start heading prowling around the current cat fight, looking for hole for easy fetching. Just to a side, another unfamiliar blonde man enters the scene and start talking with the other magician. A few flashbacks of the fight from before came to his mind, an unknown blonde and invisible force. “Ah!” Ace shook his head again. No. This blonde man’s stature is different from the man from before. But, could it be that Ace’s mind is still playing tricks with him?
