Destiny Is Calling Me

Waiting patiently for the girl to respond, he listened carefully when she spoke. Solo assumed 'Aurie' was her sister, the girl who had dragged him in here in the first place. "Don't worry about your friend. She overspent her magic, but I already gave her something to fix it." he reassured her, his tone still low and soothing. He noticed her flinch, but paid it little mind; antiseptic had a tendency to sting, and the actual bite was the least of his worries. "I need you tell me what's happening with your body. What do you feel?" he asked, noting her stiffen after her attempt at shrugging. He bit back a comment about not moving, figuring the girl was smart enough to pick up on that herself. Bacteria was most likely waging war with her immune system right now, but he wanted details; he couldn't decide on a best course of action without it. This girl was far worse off than the other, even in her semiconscious state.

Honestly, Seth hated the idea of his daughter becoming pregnant as a teenager. There was no reason for a mistake to repeat itself, even if it did lead to a blessing. Wethere or not that made good parents made no difference; there were never ready to have a child while still in school. But that hadn't stopped the prince from almost causing the same predicament happening again. Sighing, he shoved aside the past and the thoughts it brought with it to sudy the picture Tabbitha held up. Yvette was definitely the cutest baby he'd ever seen, and it was a boost to his pride to say that she was his. "Her smile is far too big. She is too happy." he stated sarcastically, his own smile giving away what he was really thinking.

Hearing the man's reassurance of Vera's health, she was able to relax slightly. Listening to his question, she bit back the urge to snap back with her response, knowing that he was only there to help her. There would be no use in directing her pain at him when it was clear how willing he was to serve not only herself, but her roommate as well. "I feel hot. Really, really, hot. Specifically inside; my blood. And I have a hell of a headache." Resisting from placing a hand to head, as she remembered what happened the last time she'd moved suddenly, the siren focused on his tone, trying to draw the most of what she could from it's depth and smooth style.

Tabby giggled. Yvette was always a really happy baby. "She's always like that. I swear she's really happy go lucky." The teenager told her ex. She then flipped the page. The next page was labeled First year. It had twelve pictures that went over Yvette's first year from birth to a year old. From bald to having a head full of thick brown hair.

Destiny Is Calling Me

Digging about in his bag a little more, he pulls from it a strange herb and another bottle of water. He knew there wasn't much he could do for this girl, but he could at least ease the pain. There was a chance she might live, but it would be up to her. His mortar and pestle made a reappearance, and he crushed the herb until a small amount of liquid was left in the mortar. Lifting the tape and gauze pad, he places the medicinal herb over the bite mark before placing the gauze pad back in place. The herb would cause the wound to cool, and help chase away infection. Twisting open the new bottle of water, one had to wonder just how many of those he carried around; tipping the liquid into the water to allow it to mix. He pulled out another griffin talon, crushing it into dust before adding it to the water. Shaking it until the contents dissolved into the liquid, he dumps the rest of the objects back in his bag before moving it to the floor. "I need you to drink this. It should help with the pain." he told her, keeping the smooth and reassuring tone in his voice. Solo refused to give her a reason to panic. He held the open bottle to her lips, tipping a little in at regular intervals until the bottle was empty. Tossing it carelessly back into his bag, he touched her arm briefly before leaving the room. He returned to Vera's, standing in the doorway with a mask of stone. "I've done everything I can. But I think you should go to her... just in case." he spoke quietly, as not to alert the patient in the room.

Vera felt like she was drifting, barely sensing things going on around her. Greator had watched the griffin the whole time with serious eyes, glaring at Seth for not doing anything as the prince left. sighing, the wyvern laid down by Vera's head, doing the only thing he could for her in her depleted state...keep their link active. chirping as if goosed, he whipped his head around as Vera's breathing returned, and she started to cough up blood. her voice came from his mouth, and he sat primly down as Solomon sent Aurora to Dawn's room. "fire..." was what he said with her semi-draconic voice, though not as if she was speaking Elder which made her sound almost like a siren. Greator's eyes lit up, and he almost attacked Solomon to dig through the boy's bag, looking for something to stick fire into her mouth. he cheeped piteously at Solomon as Ryuu stuck his head and shoulders in to stare seriously at the boy before making a ruckus in the kitchen as he tried to make fire for Vera to, well...basically eat. frustrated, he yowled at Greator around some paper towels her had found, his tail twitching spasmodically as it started to recover from the paralytic saliva. Vera just kept drifting, and felt something beat near her head...remembering Dawn had been slobbered on, she tried to concentrate on burning away the paralyzing effects...but not with much success with her outer magic stores so depleted. she felt frustrated she had been unable to learn more dragon magic, the kind that pulled at the soul for fuel as well as the will and spirit...Greator burped on the paper towels and carefully took them into his mouth to fly veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slowly over to Vera and drop the fire onto her chest. burning her clothes away some color returned to her, and her skin showed where some of her ribs had broken and started healing crooked, along with her right arm and leg

(sorry i haven't been online in a while, might be gone again...basically, dawn should only be slightly paralyzed, i don't remember her getting bitten XD but she could have had a cut or got grazed by a spine ^^; Vera's gonna wake up after a bit, no worries d; just figured this was more than enough of a post after a while  ttyl~!)

Taking the strange mixture without complaint, she settled down when the medic left. She hadn't enjoyed the taste of such a strange concotion, and was willing to sleep it off even if at this moment, she felt no recovery was in sight. Feeling sleepy, she curled back into her original state, surprised that the motion held less pain than the last. So maybe the blonde boy's potion was worth it.

Finishing her procedure, Aurora rested the now empty container on Vera's bedside drawer, finding no other place to put it safely. Her gaze swept from the girl to the doorway as Solomon returned, causing her brow to furrow in confusion from the boy's reaction. Standing quietly, she walked past him, going straight to her sister's room without bothering her uncle. There was something wrong, and she wasn't pleased to think so; but until she was absolutely sure, there would be no need to bother Seth. Walking into the already partially opened door, the siren closed it firmly behind her as she heard new noises from the room she'd exited. As much as she wanted to check upon the elf girl, her entire mind was focused on Dawn; besides the medic boy and little dragon were there should anything terrible be occuring.

Studying each picture with a smile, he only able to compiment each one, finding no fault in his child. Yvette was truly happy, and would hopefully stay as so. Letting his gaze wander to the clock for a moment, he debated if now would be a good to for checking up on girls. Staying where he was, as he was sure Aurora would retreive him if anything changed, he went back to the baby book, pointing to a later picture. His daughter had plenty of hair that he assumed was Tabbitha's natural color of rich brown. However, before he could respond, his attention was snapped up the loud ruckus being created, loud enough so that the prince could hear the strange commotion from his seat. Standing, he didn't bother with excusing himself, as surely the witch would be able to hear as well as himself. Turning into the hallway, he paused at Vera's door, not wanting to shove past the griffin still there. "Whoa! What are you-?" Pausing his sentence, he watched the fire curiosuly, suddenly aware of what Aurora had been speaking of so enthusiastically earlier. So, it was now very clear that thier roommate may not be as docile as she seemed.

(i was gonna say actually it's GREATOR burning things, but you mean he saw the broken bones, yes? XD)

Vera coughed, and Greator rubbed her cheek lovingly. placing a hand on the fire, Vera opened her eyes slowly to try to rise. Wincing at broken bones already starting to heal twisted, she moved a hand around, preoccupied "get me up, please..." she muttered, coughing again. Ryuu got under her and she let him drag her over to Dawn's room. staring at the closed door, she frowned for a moment, before focusing on Solomon "it's...a neurotoxin. paralytic. she must have gotten spiked..." rubbing at her forehead, Vera frowned, almost falling off of where she was leaning on the giant mountain lion glia t'nai...shareth ski" she muttered, something about 'plants of the jewel' that was a type of herb from where she was, that only grew in rich mineral deposits. looking up at Solomon, she looked fevered as she pushed herself up with wavering arms. taking a deep breath, she bent over her ribs with a grimace and another cough, but this time with some silverish-looking red blood. looking at it in surprise in her hand at the color change from the potion already in her system, she fell back into a wall and took deep breaths in concentration "she will need dragon's blood...preferably fresh. but it will need to be diluted..." looking at her hand, she gestured for Solomon to hand her a cup. murmuring to Greator, she slid down as the little wyvern cut her VERY delicately on a vein and some more of her blood spooled into the cup. closing her hand over her other wrist quickly, she shook her head as if dizzy "wine...dilute it with wine" she said, her voice super quiet from pain and the need to not be as active as she would like. all her speaking had been laced with heavy breathing, and intermittent coughing (she's not an easy patient XD you're gonna have to rebreak bones)

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo.
Care To Dance?"

Slowly opening the dorm’s door, a blue-haired woman stepped in. She was short, only five feet in height, with bright sapphire eyes that scanned the room with interest. Her fingers played with a rusting key in her hand for several moments as she realized there wasn’t a single person within this room or any of its adjoining counter-parts. Venting her disappointment with a sigh, she dropped the metal item into her purse, taking several steps along the carpeted floor. There was still a table for meals, surrounded by white chairs, and a red sofa still faced the television, an artsy painting nearby adorning the wall. Everything, despite a few subtle knick-knacks, was the same as she’d last seen it; and the girl was willing to bet that the bedrooms and bathroom would yield similar results. A wistful smile made its way to her lips as she sat on the crimson cushion. Her right arm reached out to yank a floor lamp’s beaded chord, causing a soft light to fall across the furniture.

While she hadn‘t set foot on the campus in five years, Aurora Solindo would never deny that it had once been her home. For four years she’d eaten, slept and studied here. “Perhaps it’s time to do so again.” she mumbled lightly as she leaned back into the sofa, as if preparing to wait awhile. Her bag was now in her lap, and she had little trouble in locating a source of amusement to pass the time with until a certain woman’s return. Yes, a magazine or two would keep her occupied until Vera and her friends made their way back into the building for the upcoming reunion.

Vera barely had time to notice the door was unlocked as she fumbled for her key, on the verge of tears she couldn't control. Cussing to herself in dragon she just opened the door and barely noted that Aurora was there...changed, but who else could have opened the door or wanted to come back?...before she ran into the older woman's arms. Then she couldn't stop the tears, but managed to pause them long enough to hug Aurora with tighter strength than she had ever shown the siren and explain that she was having issues, before they started coming out again. Just sobbing for she-didn't-know-how-long, Ryuu and Greator came in, much bigger than Aurora would remember, and Greator turned to push the door closed as Ryuu jumped up to rest against Vera's beck, purring reassuringly. The only person who wouldn't seem to change would be Vera herself, physically, though her obviously different mental and emotional state would almost be a bit of a shock. Sniffling, she stopped crying a while later, laying her forehead against Aurora's shoulder. "Sorry about that... Um, good news is, other than you're actually HERE, I got my memory back...bad news, it's painful..." shuddering she pulled back, and sat apologetically on her knees on the couch, head down and fists on her legs back to a more mature version of her old shy self. "It's good to see you..." she stated quietly as the half-elf wiped at her tears, holding a hand to her head from its aching.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo.
Care To Dance?"

Looking up expectantly from her magazine as the door opened, Aurora had to stop herself from squealing with delight. Her smile beamed as she prepared to stand, only to notice that Vera was crying. Collecting her old friend into her arms, her bright expression immediately changed to a somber one as she cooed simple words of encouragement to ease whatever pain she was experiencing. This was odd for the half-elf, which caused more worry for than the actual tears. Ignoring the water streaming onto her shirt, the siren’s eyes widened with their natural curiosity as Ryuu and Greator made their ways in. They were so much bigger! The ‘little dragon’ and wild cat seemed to calm her friend enough to speak, of which Aurora was grateful for. She smiled softly, retaking her seat on the sofa as she listened to the girl speak again. Her memories returned? After all this time…that was surprising and spectacular! Yet, as Vera mentioned, it seemed they were not full of happy times. She watched as the woman regained her usual calm exterior, and nodded to her last statement. ”Yes, you too. I plan to be here for awhile, you know.” She’d already signed up for classes that morning, and had all affirmed except one to start the next semester with. “Would you like to talk? Or sleep? Or I can make some food, or tea, or coffee.” She gushed with options, wanting to make her friend comfortable until she was happy again, which led the excitable siren to her bubbly ways.

There was a hard tap on the door and before they would know it the tapper disappeared. Instead was a brown paper bag that was left. Inside was a cloth wrapped around a golden collar with the name Baihu on the front. The packages was addressed to Vera herself.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2012 5:09 pm

"Um....." Vera started to say, her brain tired and dizzy from the memories still bouncing around her mind as well as Aurora's words and energy in offering her choices. She jerked in surprise as she heard footsteps and the taps, louder than she expected in the short silence, before the steps went calmly off. "What...the...hell...?" she wondered, showing Aurora that the half-elf had changed quite a bit, due to the fact she had rarely cursed and now she stated the questioning epithet calmly. "Food is probably a good idea, and we can talk..." Vera commented, giving Aurora a shy grin over her shoulder. "I've missed you... It's good that you're going to stay for a while~ ^^" she said with a happy look as she opened the still-unlocked door to stare down at the brown bag. Sniffing idly, she caught something half-recognized, before it disappeared. Shaking her head, she knelt down to pick up the bag and admired the graceful calligraphy making her name...her full name. "Hnnnh...weird," she commented, closing the door with a foot and absently reaching back to lock the door before looking at Aurora while showing the siren the bag. "Recognize the handwriting at all...?" she asked, the half-elf's mind busy with other thoughts, so she forgot about her whole betrothal issue. Opening it, Vera couldn't help the small short squeal she promptly stopped with a hand over her mouth as her eyes widened, the blueish tinge they had gained strengthening as she looked at the large collar made from linked circles of gold with jewels inserted, and the "tag" saying "Baihu". "It's so pretty..." she breathed out, feeling covetous over it and blinking at the strong reaction to all the gold. "Oh...right. Gold...gems..." she commented quietly, blushing in embarrassment. "Ah, hm..." Clearing her throat, her eyes sparkled in acquisition as she showed Aurora the pretty. "First piece to my hoard..." Vera commented jokingly with a blush, though her tone almost sounded harsh when she claimed it... The dragon in her had obviously gotten stronger, especially when she had learned who her father was. "Well, first MAJOR piece....I still have a couple gems..." Vera amended.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo.
Care To Dance?"

Once she was given an answer, the siren jumped from the couch with a bob of her head. "Food and talking. The cure to any problem." She flashed a smile, stepping off towards the kitchen to rumage among the cupboards for ingrediants. By the time Vera returned, she'd managed to find a box of instant macaroni, which would be easily complimented with the pound of cheese in the fridge. Her gaze shot up as she heard the girl speaking, more to herself than to Aurora. Eyeing the item in her hand, she took a moment to study the strangely decorated thing. When Vera spoke again, she was able to hear more clearly this time, and out of that, her suspensions were caused. "Hm, have you caught a lad's eye?" Quite obviously, no gift of that maginitude was for a small relationship.

"Enh, sort of....turns out I'm betrothed..." she answered Aurora's question, playing with the thing like a cat with its new toy. She seemed unable to take her eyes off of it, due to her dragon half going all possessive over it. Vera even started to growl at Greator who was getting close, and she jerked upright where she had been sitting on the couch. "Oh...sorry..." she told him sheepishly, rubbing his hard beak as he jerked back, startled. "Um, Aurora...?" she asked quietly, traipsing on silent feet into the kitchen. "Did you ever go into knock-out darts or anything? If this is any indication of gifts, I don't want to, um, maul you or anything..." Vera explained, looking down at the floor with a heavy blush, hurt to think that may happen if her naturally happy and bubbly friend got out of control over what Vera thought MIGHT start coming for her. She remembered her answered, and facepalmed with a loud SMACK. "You would NOT believe who it's turns out I'm betrothed to...!" she stated, eying Aurora with a grin, sounding girly and out of her weird mood.

"Hello, I'm Aurora Solindo.
Care To Dance?"

Turning from the pan she'd placed on the stove, Aurora glanced up to the question. "Maul me? Why would you ever do that?" She turned the box upside to let out the macaroni pieces as she continued. While she was still unsure of why such a thing would happen, she was confident in her personal abilities enough to given a proper answer. "But no worries. I can fight well enough for myself. You ought to know that." For several years, she had been raised to know self-defense; in addition, the last five years had let to several tricks and actions to be picked up. Scoffing, she set the stove's dial before turning to face Vera. Her brow raised at the term betrothed, causing her mouth to open slightly, then close again. Finally, she spoke up, surprise and energy lacing her tone. "Oh, Who? Do I know him? What's he like?"
