Oh you had got to be kidding him.

"Ain't that always the way," the skinwalker muttered under his breath, looking more exasperated than surprised. He'd so called it, of course the thing was going to turn out to be out for their heads, nothing was ever straight-forward in Amityville. Then again, at least it gave him the chance to battle. Nuk had already begun cracking his knuckles as the apparition started cackling, rolling up his non-existent sleeves and readying himself with a devious grin to transform into a bear, hopefully to rip this jacking creature's head off. It didn't look particularly threatening still, but hey, he couldn't ju--

Whatever he had been thinking at the time, that thought was almost immediately cut off as the creature suddenly turned into a MOFO BOAT. They weren't on a boat, man, HE WAS THE BOAT, MAN.

While the others had picked up rubber duckies to start flinging them at the creature (ok, seriously, rubber duckies? How much damage do they think they were going to do with rubber duckies anyway,) Nuk was a little... preoccupied. The motion from the tipping boat had not only flipped Nuk right off the side and back onto the sand, but had flipped his stomach as well, which he promptly emptied a few times. He completely missed how the trollopus had decided to help them too, looking up only to notice he wasn't dead yet, which was a miracle. Picking up the slingshot, he peered at the 'boat' with irritation.

"I hate boats. I hate the ocean. I hate shooting thin-- HURK," Nuk muttered to himself, turning to hurl at the last second, the rubber duckie flying wide.

"Oh great," Colette grumbled. The spirit got some coin and now it wants to kill them! She couldn't believe that no one, not even herself, questioned the spirit and where they were headed or what they were doing. Nothing was ever easy or simple here. Hoping she could even get up, Colette hoisted herself into a standing position. Soaked and covered in sand: did she really expect to leave in any better condition? The bruises starting up were a nice touch to the just-out-of-hell look.

Colette moved her wet, heavy hair from her face and watched students begin to sling rubber duckies and miss. That was their defense? Darn the Professor, who to no surprise was out of sight. Rubber duckies: that's what she left them! Copying the others, Colette grabbed a slingshot; loaded it; and aimed. She knew aiming was not something she did well and was about to wing it until she heard singing -- a familiar singing at that!

The octopus. As the Trollapus emerged, she gaped and watched its tentacles manhandle the boat.

So valiant. So brave and helpful. Colette was starting to really appreciate the trollapus.

"Just right there.." Colette squinted and aimed at the boat, hoping its inability to move from the trollapus helped her even a little with aiming; and as the duck barely hit the boat, she couldn't help but smile a little. Yes!

First shot? Not so great. The taste of vomit in his mouth was not one he really wanted to have when he was trying to kill something. Second shot though? He was PWNING.

Nuk hadn't really even paid a lick of attention to the first shot, having called it a lost cause even before he'd let the duckie go. He was a terrible shot -- anyone who had played him in paintball would have known that. There was, however, one great motivator that caused him to not even hesitate in picking up a second duckie, hardly even taking aim before pulling it back and launching it hard at the creature.

No one was gonna laugh at him.

Just one more. One more quick shot while she could. How long could the valiant Tollapus hold that boat down? Colette aimed and fired.

She hit it. IT ACTUALLY HIT AGAIN. Twice in a row. That Trollapus was a miracle and the best tentacle thing she had ever seen.

DUCKIES AND TROLLAPUSES UGGGGGHHHHH DAMN YOU!!!
Turn Three

User Image

The group of students actually did damage. Not all of them but a good enough bit to really irritate the ghost monster boat. Trollapus, struggling to hold the monster boat, manages to to flip the boat upside down and do 5 damage to the monster boat. How ever, the trollapus is caught by surprise by the boat beast and gets thrown upwards far far away. Singing can be heard as it travels through the air on its way to god knows where. One thing is clear, its likely that this is the last time in this adventure the students will see trollapus. U mad?

"GRAWWWWWWWWWWRGGG" The ship moans and turns back to the students. It eyes Jericho , Christof , Colette and Nuk with a burning anger having been hit by their duckies! The nerve!

This was, by far, the most outlandish, strange, ridiculous and crazy exam that Ren had ever taken.

Of course, it was the only exam he had ever taken, so maybe he couldn't really say anything.

The trollapus had disappeared back into the water now, leaving the ship thing well....not so happy. Ren grabbed another ducky, slinging it into his slingshot.

Unfortunately for Ren his evil stare did no damage. Neither did the slingshotted rubber ducky.

"O-octopus?..." Colette, with the most horrified expression, had watched the crazed boat simply toss away their valiant companion like a candy wrapper.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

That's how she wished the next few seconds could go anyway. Instead, the Grim Reaper only settled for flinging another rubber duck and missed.

The Trollapus: it did so much. And she had just failed it. IT WILL BE AVENGED. Jack forbid if one of them were next.

Finally it wasn't just him doing all the damage. Grinning to the others, Jericho grabbed another ducky and took flight, hoping that the aerial assault would give him a bit of an edge. While he did this, he saw the trolltapus get sent far far away.

"Oh no you didn't," growled the dragon. It was time to avenge the trolly-tentacle beast.

Still within the area of the beach, he took aim and fired away.

Unfortunately he seemed to have forgotten that aiming while flying was actually harder than aiming while standing in place.

Whoa! Junko's eyes widened as she watched the boat flip upside down, laughing and clapping for the trollapus. What a good...uh...creature! So helpful and--oh no! At least he looked happy as he vanished from their lives forever?

Junko turned back to boat thing and readied another rubber duck. This was for trollapus!

This was the craziest class Nuk had ever been in. He wasn't sure if he liked it -- no physical battle, blasphemy! -- but it was certainly not dull. And it seemed like the room couldn't make up its mind as the trollopus came to help them, slithering off just as quickly as soon as it had messed with the boat-monster thing. Or maybe messed with them. He couldn't tell who'd been trolled harder.

Picking up another duckie, he glanced to his right to see Junko shoot another duckie, hitting their opponent head-on. "Nice job!" he offered, half-grinning, although it was definitely a competitive grin. Not against them -- he wasn't fighting against his fellow students this time -- but against the EXAM MONSTER. Launching his own duckie, he reached for another, ready to machine-gun it to death. His aim might not be gun, but he had enthusiasm, they had to give him that.

The boat monster seems to be getting cocky until Junko hits it scare between the eyes! Then it gets mad and starts at the students again with a mighty roar.

It trips though and ends up on its back. NOWS YOUR CHANCE!

Jericho swooped back down to fetch some more ammunition. As he grabbed one of the ducks, he quickly turned about to fling it right at the boat monster while it was down.

A glancing blow, it seemed to be this time around.

There was still the opportunity to strike again, and Jericho wasn't about to let that go to waste. Snagging another duck, he fired away at the boat. They were slowly whittling away at the creature it seemed. Though, he still believed that this would be going by much more easily if they had flammable ammunition to use.

Christof tried to be impressed as Jericho struck with fury from above. He did.

Ultimately, though, echoes of one of the visitor's suggestions about spare parts and wings flitted through his head, and he was feeling a bit silly.

He could do just fine as is, thank you! He dodged forward, avoiding the other student's launched duckies, trying to get a good vantage point...

The ducky dropped disappointingly too soon as his torn hunched shoulder screamed in protest.

He had to try again, he had to. Ignoring the discomfort and frustration, he snatched up another ducky, eyeballing the horrible boatish thing as it stumbled- just get another shot in! Go!

While he failed to hit the monster, the duck went flying directly into Jericho.

Well.

At least he hit something, even if it wasn't what he had been aiming at.

He gave the dragon a small 'oops!' sort of embarrassed wave.
