I am really sorry for not being online these past few days, I have been very sick. The planning committee sounds like an excellent plan, though could I see all the details in one post? As it is right now it seems the suggestions and the definite ideas are being all thrown together.

I went back and fixed my post above your latest one, I meant to have Kenneth suggest that Blake should (not tell him that he needed to) take a leave from the castle if he wasn't willing to do what was necessary to keep the meeting and plans secret. I was in a slight hurry to get that typed out before getting off the puter for some dinner. So you might want to edit you post.

@ Eclipse: I only quoted you so you would know before posting a reply to Sparrows last post.



I'm trying to make things interesting by having blake agree with Dese Muahahaha so I'm trying to keep him away but in the castle Umm I'll go edit that...

I actually made a whole post on the first page to Telly haha. I'll go and get it. ^^ There we go. Everything that could possibly thought up by my tiny brain is in that post, other stuff was added and mentioned through these pages like the committee getting an ok from you telly and sing before we start to plan an event.



ALOT. Ive been rolling this idea over for a good while. Every event we have is some forum based dance or roleplay related with no real hype to it. Like the event thats going on right now, it's a fun twist to the roleplay but it seems to revolve around Sing and not really including the guild members as a whole. And in my opinion the guild should host events that welcome everyone so that we may promote the Hogwarts Guild and draw in more roleplayers. I know that I would love to see this guild a bit more active, which gradually it is. But I think that an event planning group will be a fun thing for everyone. It would unite us as a group and build strong bonds.


I thought that we could have a group of 5 people, more or less depending on what you would think is best, to be the planners for the events. These events can be based partly on the roleplay but they don’t have to be. For example, the spirit week idea where we tekteked our avi’s didn’t have anything to do with the roleplay, but the Triwizard did. In order to keep the guild on a schedule basis I figured we could have one event per month, that way people will always be anticipating the next one and will keep coming back for more. As for the planning of the events I already have the system of how it will be done down. As a rough example I’ll use my guild and set up how I want it to be done. Just click the link to check it out. Also in the link I have created an actual mock event in the Planning sub-forum and the Events sub-forum. Please check them both out.

The team will be lead by a Team Leader. This person will be in charge of making sure everything in that thread runs smoothly and that the events get planned on time and so on.

As for the process of picking an event to do, its rather simple. Say someone posts an idea for a prom in the Event Suggestions sticky topic in the link above. A large majority of the planners would have to like the idea in order for it to become a possibility. Once we have majority approval, we will gather a rough sketch of the event we hope to plan and the Team Leader will proceed to message either you or Sing with the details. Once one of you read it over and consult with each other, you message us back with you approval or denial of the said event. If it is approved a normal topic will be created with the event name as a title and that is where all the planning will begin. You and sing will be notified and be kept up to date on the event at all times by the leader. You two can monitor the planning as you see fit. Once the event is all planned with the details and etc, we will notify you on the finished result and once again ask for your approval.

Advertising the event is very important to ensure its success. Once we have gotten the final approval from you and/or Sing, we as a group will proceed to make a post in which advertises the event. It will have all of the information about the event including when and what the event is. We will send you or Sing the post in a private message so that one of you may post it in an announcement for the guild to see maybe one week-two weeks ahead of time. You can make other little reminder announcements so that the members wont forget about the event. As for external advertisement, I’ll take care of that.

Some events will be held in the towns of Gaia. Now I know not everyone had access to the towns, like you, and for those circumstances There will still be a topic discussion thread and/or a forum based event for those unable to get into towns. Also as an extra measure I or another member of the planning team will take pictures and/or video clips of the event to share with the guild and preserve our times together as a guild. Its also fun to look back on a few months down the road.

Thank you, I thought other people had been suggesting more things in the three pages of posts they produced, haha. It seems fine to me, it looks as though you've got every detail planned out so I am all for it. Except for how we will be deciding who is on the planning committee. Perhaps we should have a vote on one male and one female from each house? They do not necessarily have to be a prefect though.

I post all that before too haha. There will be 6 members on the team because it really doesnt take that much to get the detils of an event.

Team Leader: The one who will keep the group in order and generally be in charge. They are also responsible for letting the Vice Captains and Captain know whats up with the events. (I really want to be lead because I

3 Permanent Members: These will be 3 active members of the guild and will come up with ideas and help plan the events biggrin

2 Volunteer Members: These will be generally active members that will help with the planning for a month. Each month the volunteers will change based on a sign up list. The list will be in the link I provided you in the welcome topic of the planning sub-forum. In order to get onto that list they will have to message the Leader. If no one is on the list, the two volunteers will have the chance to continue planning for another month if they wish.

As for picking the team members I dont want to base it on one person from each house because what if that person is never on? I want to base it on who is active. So the Leader, along with guidance from the Vice Captains and Captain, will be choosing the 3 permanent members. I can make up an application to see what they can offer towards the group.

I already approved lol. I think it's awesome for you to lead the event planners. I can just pop in and out and help out, still leading the rest of teh guild, while you control that sub-forum. As long as we still keep posting in the rest of the guild, as long as we get my approval (which we alredy discussed) and as long as my input counts for something, then i approve wholeheartedly. smile ))) We can start figuring out how the subforum will be set up once the others approve, and as soon as this event ends (which will be by the end of this week hopefully if desdemona can be online) we can make it and start work.
