 "Fear kept me from what I wanted, and I could never have what my heart wanted me to have." XXXXXXXXXXXX
Sky rubbed the tears from his eyes. "C'mon Sky. Take the lead, Sky," he mimicked his brother. He grunted a bit. Why did he have to do the work? Physically Hawk was stronger. He was just there to watch Hawk's back, that was all there was to it.{{2/4}} When Hawk pressed against his back he could feel his strength build. It felt like he had stepped into a pull full of steroids and drank it all. He reached behind himself and took hold of his brother. He made sure his grip was tight before yanking him in front of himself.{{3/4}}

 "But within the absent belonging of companionship, I found peace I had never known." XXXXXXXXXXXX
His legs reaching away from the man's grasp -- he jumped outwards as he aimed his kick to a nearby wall. The strength still being carried behind him from the unity -- and the speed of the leap still in place, when his leg finally slammed against the wall it smashed through it, leaving behind a cackling crater in the impact's wake. "Hah. Well then, I suppose that was worth it. Now... mister, we would like to have our novice exam. And sorry for making you witness all of that... it's... how we work, I guess!" (4/4)
"Stop whining, Sky. Be vigilant. We're going to be doing something risky -- perhaps even dangerous soon enough, and we'll need our focus for then. I know you're in pain -- so am I, especially after the impact with my leg. But... if it means something... I'm sorry for what I did. I can't justify my actions... and maybe I can't explain them either... but I'm sorry. Alright? Now stay strong, Sky. Just keep being your pretentious a*****e... otherwise normal... self." With a small pant, Hawk stepped from the rubble and stepped back into the room. "We're ready. I can say that for the both of us."

Maybe I haven't had worse the teacher thought. Out loud, he said, "Arch-Mage Liliana has been looking into plant experimentation to help protect unvegetated areas. I need you two to head out to Kranila and bring back seeds from 3 cannibal plants and 5 Man eating venus." He double checked his clipboard for something. "Also, since you'll be out there, drop by Kusana and find out if their hospital was destroyed. I've had in several reports of the kind and it would be troubling to say the least if the nations are without hospitals right now with the Sins still loose."

"Sounds simple enough," the boy said, as he stepped over and took hold of his brother's hand. "Ready to go? You can get on my back if you want. It won't be straining for me... that's a benefit of our unity, after all." It took until now -- far past the actual occurrence for him to actually feel guilt for what he did. It felt even worse when Sky didn't get back at him -- for his brother, he was... mean. That was the word for it -- though it wasn't enough. And perhaps, for the sake of their own safety, Hawk had to give. It wasn't as if he had anyone else around. There was only one real person in the world -- now the question was, would that person, who was his own self, be his friend, or would they be enemies? Whatever the result, at this moment, he offered this to him so that he wouldn't have to walk. They would be going far... but they didn't have to go in anger.

He smiled a bit as his brother took a hold of his hand. "Sure," he spoke happily. He leaped onto his brother's back and wrapped his arm around his neck. Sky lets his head fall to rest on his brother's shoulder. A warm smile appeared as his lips parted. This little piggy back ride was totally going to make up for what his brother had just done. {{T.T So short, but I'm tired. Sowwy Shaney!}}

Vincent Xerxellia Trainee Energy - 350/350 Strength - 4 Speed - 10 "How does one atone for their sins? Well, the answer is simple... They don't." As the boy's words flew from his mouth, Vincent accepted them easily. He seemed friendly enough, even introducing himself and his brother. He also seemed to be of decent character,a s he apologized over such an inconvenience as sweaty hands. Vincent met the boy's gaze, and dropped his hand back to his side. He examined him, and found there to be things hidden beneath the gaze that he met, though that was to be expected, as this was a first meeting. Vincent cleared his throat, and slid his hand behind his head to scratch an itch. "Vincent." He let his hand fall again, and looked directly into the boy's eyes steeling his own. "Yes. I'm new." Vincent half-wished that he could perhaps carry his words on, and speak a more complete sentence. But he knew better than to try. He was not the same as he was years ago, and knew that trying to be like his old self would prove fruitless as he was. As the instructor asked him her questions, he turned to her and calmly responded. "Assassin. Aligned with wind." He stepped back slightly, and folded his arms. "Can I watch?" Vincent then watched as the time passed with Hawk and Sky's training. Vincent wasn't sure how getting instructions would help him, or how well he could train here, so he wanted to observe first. As the training went on, Vincent grew more comfortable with his surroundings. When the twins had left the room, Vincent found the instructor, and tapped his shoulder. Not what he would have liked to do to get the attention of someone, but oh well, Vincent did not believe taht he could be picky. "I'd like to start."

Vincent Xerxellia Trainee Energy - 350/350 Strength - 4 Speed - 10 "How does one atone for their sins? Well, the answer is simple... They don't." Vincent took over a bit, closer to the side of the hall, as it was less crowded over there. He thought carefully, thinking back to when he knew Hessaia. She had tried to teach him skills before, as she knew many, but he was more the aloof type back then. As his thoughts grew deeper, his face grimaced. Memories were not his strong point, and often led to him shutting off his mind. But he knew he was here for a reason, and that was to learn. Finally he remembered Hessaia using the Razor Wire skill. Vincent looked up, and nodded to the instructor, hoping that his presence would help Vincent's resolve to learn the skill strengthen.
Vincent closed his eyes, and drew a deep breath. He imagined the web, concentrating on the embodiment of it being produced from his body. He let his right hand come up slowly, and opened his eyes. He felt a surge of warmth to his right arm, travelling up to his hand. From the surface came a thread, shooting against the wall of the hall. As Vincent tried to tighten it, it snapped, causing him fal fall back. "... Ugh." (1/2)
He stood up, and shook his head. He needed to imagine it stronger, more secure. The Razor Wire was a strong, singular thread, capable of cutting through skin. This time when Vincent closed his eyes, he imagined a blade. A long blade, coming from his hand. It was sharp, and strong. This time, as Vincent opened his eyes and let go another web, it stuck to the wall fast. He tightened it, attaching it to the wall. The thread was thin, nearly invisible. Vincent ran his finger across it, crimson blood running down it's length as he did so. Vincent grew pleased with himself, allowing a smirk to cross his face. (2/2)
Though he had succeeded at learning one skill, Vincent did not let it get to his head. He knew that one skill would not be enough, and that he'd have to train with these skills to perfect them with his fighting style. Prhaps a job, or quest, would help him practice... Vincent put such thoughts out of his head, and moved on to the other skill that he was able to remember from Hessaia. It was called Web Coating... At least, that's what Vincent thought. He remembered Hessaia explaining it to him. She always said it was as if your hands and feet became suction cups, being covered in the stickiest of web, allowing you to climb and manuver over walls and the such. He didn't know what to think of his training, and thus shot a glance over to the instructor in the room. His eyes held such a calming look, and were filled with wisdom. Vincent drew strength from them, and turned his head back to the wall, so as to concentrate.
He began by closing his eyes once again, and imagined web coating his hands and feet. He let web slide from his hands, gliding over his skin, and dropping down to his feet. It covered quite nicely, and Vincent felt good about this. He tried to walk over to the wall, only to find himself stuck to the floor. He was stuck... "My will over the web..." Vincent muttered to himself. He had to control his web accordingly, he had forgotten this. (1/2)
As he let his thoughts and emotions run to the web, it's grip loosened, and allowed him to start walking. He made his way to the wall, and stuck his hand to it. It stayed in place. He stuck his other hand to it, and it also stayed in place. Vincent began to clamber up the wall, adjusting the strength of the web everytime he had to move his hands and feet. He slipped twice on his way up, but managed to catch himself. As he reached the roof, he let his body drop, only to land on the top of a statue head. From there he lambered down to the floor, smirking once again at the fact that he was able to learn a skill. (2/2)
Vincent walked over to the instructor, and when he came close, met the man's gaze. "Are you happy? Did I train properly?" Vincent's voice was low, as he was not used to speaking so many words at once.

Vincent Xerxellia Trainee Energy - 300/350 Strength - 4 Speed - 10 "How does one atone for their sins? Well, the answer is simple... They don't." Vincent nodded to the instructor, happy inside that things seemed to be going well. He made his way back to the side, near the wall from before. Vincent sat down, and brethed lightly, delving once again into his memories for remnants of Hessaia's techniques. Time passed, and as it did, Vincent grew tired and annoyed at the memories. His eyes shot open, and he stood up. Satisfied that he was able to find three more, Vincent decided that he would not go back to his thoughts for now, and instead leave that for another day.
Surrounding Eyes. The skill of sight, sight allowing a much better perception of all, was what Vincent thought to learn next. He drew himself into a sort of trance, blurring his vision as he concentrated on his peripheral vision. He focused on viewing not forwards, but to the sides, and behind himself. (1/4)
Vincent's eyes began to hurt him, his eyes started to water. He shut them, and moved his hands to rub the tears away. This skikll demanded precise sight abilities, and concentration, even if used in battle. Vincent put his hands down, and once again concentrated on seeing beyond his peripheral vision. As he concentrated hard, he began to feel the sensation of his eyes opening, even though they were already open. (2/4)
Vincent's eyes shot open. Well, not really his eyes, but more of his eyes... It hurt at first, but then he began to see more clearly. He was able to view to the side of himself, beyond his known peripheral vision. Yet, behind him still stayed a mystery to Vincent. (3/4)
As his concentration increased, Vincent began to feel the sensation of his eyes opening again. In a sudden, fluent feeling, Vincent could see behind himself as well now. He took a step forward, happy that it had worked. As he moved, though, his sight blurred. He needed to keep the concentration of his eyes, even when doing other tasks, even simple ones sucha s moving. This is going to be a pain... Vincent began to walk around the room, finding that as he got more practice in, his eyes were staying open easier. (4/4)
Vincent found himself at the middle of the room, surrounded by practice dummies. He imagined this to be a perfect spot to try out another skill, Web Ball. He steeled himself for this one, as it would take much web, as well as using it in battle meant getting close to the enemy.
He began by collecting a large amount of web in his right palm. He wound it loosely, so that it could have the splatter effect that he so desired. As he lifted his hand up to give it a shot, the webs drooped from his hand, leaving him with a pathetic-looking ball... (1/4)
"Tighter, but loose still... Vincent once again wound the web in his palm, this time tighter than before, but still loose enough to splatter when it hit the opponent. As he pulled his hand up this time, the ball stayed together. He shot it from his hand, causing it to fly back, as the ball soared at a dummy, hitting it dead on. Yet, the ball didn't splatter, as it should have. (2/4)
Vincent stood, flabbergasted that it wasn't working. He stopped making web, and put his hand to his forehead to think. Perhaps I'm going at this wrong... He then, gained an idea. He raised his hand up, once again, this time forming many smaller bals in his palm. It looked silly at first, but he had a notion that it would work this time. (3/4)
As the number of small balls multiplied, vincent began to weave a stronger web amongst them, causing them to gather together, creating a larger ball. He held his hand up, holding it with his other hand, and aimed at the dummy once again. He let the ball fly, weakening the strength of the web holding the balls together at the last second. As it hit the dummy, the balls broke apart and splattered, and covered the dummy. Vincent finally smirked, once again. How arduous. (4/4)
Vincent proceded to practice the four new techniques of his amongst the dummies, moving inbetween them, and hitting them when he could. He worked in his abilities as an assasin, and started to become comfortable with moving around and combining the skills with his techniques. When he had become tired, and expended quite a large amount of energy, Vincent slumped to the floor, and leaned up against a practice dummy.

Vincent Xerxellia Trainee Energy - 180/350 Strength - 4 Speed - 10 "How does one atone for their sins? Well, the answer is simple... They don't." Vincent had finally slowed his breathing down to normal, and regained a small amout of his lost energy. Feeling better, he stood up, and turned to the instructor, who was still watching him. He was not able to remmeber anything else that he could learn, and decided to instead ask the instructor, who had seemed vastly knowledgable with the twins' training. Vincent made his way over to the instructor. He nodded to him, and let go a small sigh, gathering up his breath afterwards. "Is there... Anything else you can teach me? ...Anything else I can do?" Vincent let his gaze meet steadily with the instructors.

The treck up the stairs seemed shorter than the wy down before felt. Perhaps it was because sleep actually managed to help Vincent, despite the dream. He made his way to the hall, finding the instructor to still be there. He walked up, and got the instructor's attention. "I'm good." Vincent was ready to take on whatever the teacher had for him to try, and really wanted to gain, and show, some ability.
