"As you said, I enjoy intelligent conversation. That does not explain why you speak to yourself, though."

"Oh don't be such a stick in the mud..." she chided landing lightly beside him and eying the nearby water hole with interest. "Up for a quick snack?"

"Oh come now...half the fun's the hunt," she said setting at the edge of the water, eyes narrowed, watching for movement. "The thrill and the anticipation of chasing your prey down like dogs," she bared her fangs and snapped at the water, mouth emerging with her prize fish. She flipped it into the air and caught it again before starting to rip off the fleshy parts, "These are the moments worth savoring."

Namir growled again, softly. Savage. But he did have to admit that she had a point. There was a certain thrill to hunting down one's prey...

"Oh what's wrong?" she eyed him. "No stomach for fresh fish? It's a unique taste, I'll grant you...but such fun to catch."

"Well yes, the prime cuts are nice, but take a bit of time to catch," as she talked, her barbed tail struck the water again, quickly bringing forth a second fish. "These are in good supply and make delicious snacks." She flipped him the wriggling treat, "Try it."

He caught it more out of reflex than because he wanted to try it. Not that he was going to let her realize that. With a suffering sigh, he nibbled on the fish, as if humoring her was a great favor he was bestowing.
He also wasn't going to mention that the fish was actually rather tasty.

"If you are done gorging yourself, I do believe our true prey is getting further away," the skinwalker growled, leaving the bones clean.
