I might not be around much the next few days (work, then brief canoeing trip!) but I'll try to make a test version of a recruit thread after work tomorrow. We'll want to wait until we've given the other members time to respond before we start recruiting for their positions, though, so we've got a little time.
A bigger question regarding recruiting is which canon characters, aside from the ones we've already got that might end up vacant, we might want to recruit for. We'll leave N for Bamf, but we might need to fill in Red, Blue, and Cynthia for sure. Black and White feel kind of optional, as does Sabrina . . . Are there any other characters we'd really like to have involved, or should we just leave it open for people to suggest a canon character? (And should I take Alder? Now that I've played White, I keep thinking I want to play Alder.)

Zee, Emili, you guys rock. >v< I love the ship attack and the interactions between them. <3 N shall involve into Waldo!
Random, pretty useless statement And I've been completely nerding out with my laptop gone. Playing every single Pokemon game I have and exploiting the glitches in Red, Blue, and Yellow. x] ....they'll die very soon, I had to wait thirty minutes till one of them worked. Blue, however, died. [/end of the random useless info]
Point being, I don't mind picking up a canon. x> If it'll help the RP move along. c:> I'm just horrible with movesets for predetermined Pokemon. xD;;;

I sent out an email to those that haven't replied. I've given them until 1st July to give me a definitive answer, if not we're fully releasing their canon character. But if I'm honest guys, I can't see them coming back and we should probably look into getting some new people :] (Especially Cynthia as Lots of sun hasn't been online for about a month).
Emili, if you think you can handle three characters then go for Alder too :] I don't find juggling three characters that difficult at all. Although I feel I do neglect Silver a little since I've taken over Wallace too. I will get back in the swing of Silver though. But I'm holding out on his post to incorporate the attack in it :]
Atera, movesets aren't all that important, nor are they a requirement. But if you ever want a hand, I'm free to help. Narcci always likes to run his by me on msn xD

I just restarted my Emerald version. The battery finally died on my Sapphire version, though--hopefully Emerald will hold out for another year or so. >< I should really just break into the case and replace it preemptively, I suppose. I don't know that I could go back to playing Blue . . . I like being a girl too much. xD But I have a Japanese Yellow version that I keep meaning to truck my way through. It doesn't use any Kanji, though, which actually makes it harder to read . . . But I also have an extra copy of LeafGreen, so when I get nostalgic I just play that.
And agreed, movesets really aren't important. I will fully admit that I haven't figured them out for my teams. I know maybe some of the more specialized moves they might use, but game!moves don't necessarily translate into roleplay!moves very well, so it's often not even practical to have them picked out.
And yeah, I'm not especially hopeful that we'll get our old players back. I think it's pretty safe to release Cynthia at least, since Lots of Sun already said that we could look for another player for her back when she found out she might not have internet. So . . . maybe we can just start recruiting before the deadline anyway . . . ?
. . . Yeah, I'll just take Alder. <3 Methinks he's probably off on some super-secret infiltration mission (so secret that he didn't tell anybody about it and just sort of did it.) And he'll show up at a plot-convenient point, possibly to rescue people. =D

Cynthia's pretty major and kind of awesome, so it would be good to have someone playing her. I quite like the idea of leaving Canons open for people to swoop in with their favourites, though. c: There's plenty of gym leaders/minors that could fit in as well as any OC.
...If I were to take on a third, I'd still want to do Arti/Burgh. xD Simply so Wallace has somebody to be ~fabulous~ with.
It'll be so neat to have you playing Alder, Emili. c: I love him as a Champion... he seems really, hmm, human.

Zee, Emili:
xD! I get slightly obsessed over making movesets. Ever since I got my bum handed to me by freakin' Koga and about any sort of Poison Pokemon specialist, I realized I should focus more on type advantages and possible strategies instead of BOOM POW YELLING AT GBA TO LET MY POKEMON LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! xD;! But I will be sure to ask ya, Zee, when I pick up a canon! C:
Emili- Ooo, Japanese Yellow? O v O!! You're lucky~ (I'm not a Japanese obsessed person, I just like playing games in foreign languages xD)
I can't wait to see Alder in the RP! <3 I have yet to play the English Black version (my brother got it), so I only remember the Japanese one. He still seems like a nice, fun guy to interact with. C: If I only knew wtf he was saying....
Frothy: xD! Arti and Wallace in one RP? If that happens, that would be the happiest moment in my RP-ing life. cB
Narcisse: I have yet to actually talk to ya. D8 I don't know anything about you! I feel ashamed about that! Hiya! I shouldn't treat this thread as the OOC, forgive me. >A<;

If Zee was okay with it, I might just have to have him cameo to give you a FANTASTIC MOMENT! Unless I do try to take him on on a more permanent basis. I was meant to make a post for Emili today, but am now in a bit of a freakout about taking my Mac back to the Apple store because it's bending back more than it should (I am a computer hypochondriac), so... now it's late and I feel bad. P:
I bother with movesets in the game a bit more these days (or let my Hydreigon EAT EVERYONE! MWAHAHAHA!) but... I don't think I'm too strict for RP. The whole "four only" thing was kind of done away with in my head, unless anyone wants to enforce it. There are moves and things Nenna's pokemon haven't learned, obviously. And she has favourite moves/combinations.
Alder makes me kind of sad with the story about his ill Pokemon and how he went travelling after it died and he was bereaved. ; ; That's what I meant by human. He seems a bit older in design than most of the other champions, too. He's got a feeling of authority and wisdom about him.

I'd love to have someone out-fabulous Wallace xD *cuddles her Wallace* I need a Ruby/Sapphire remake so that I can gush over how fabulous his new sprites/teams are <3
I do like Alder although I'm yet to take him on when he's champion. I've been putting it off.
I love type advantages. They're awesome <3 xD Atera, do you not have a canon character already? o.O

Tiiired. But had a good day hanging out with the dad, so it's all good. Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll be home long enough to actually get stuff done! =O (Which will also hopefully involve not having to steal internet off of my brother's phone. But huzzah for wifi hotspot apps!)
According to my lists, neither Atera nor Narcisse has a canon character. I'm not entirely sure how we managed that. Perhaps at that point we'd filled more of our canon roles than our ocs . . . ?
Aaand we're getting rather off topic in this thread. xD Which is mostly fine, except that it'll make it harder for us to track down plot points in here later. So I'll keep talking over in the OOC.

Emili, shall we talk here about how Nenna's going to potentially end up bringing out Orochi because Lance gets knocked out because you don't want him trying to take charge saving everyone?
Also, does anyone have any input for what Pokemon Omega should use to attack? : o Emili mentioned Sharpedo (surrounding the boat - scary!)

We can? Though it may or may not actually happen, since things might go differently now that the ships are starting out together. I will note for everyone that although Lance has mostly come to an understanding with his Hydreigon, it's one of the more terrifying members of its species and really will eat everything. >< So he prefers that it not be let out, generally.
Zee and I are secretly bashing out just how Omega has planned the attack to go, but like she said in the ooc--we're definitely up for suggestions! (But we won't tell you what's actually decided yet to preserve the element of surprise! Mwahaha.) I will say that Omega bosses tend to have at least one psuedo-legendary, or so we're thinking. They can do better than the usual Zubat and Raticates.

*peeks in and sees new questions that need opinions and new suggestions*
Alright, I'm yes too for Z OMG's latest idea about the smart cover-up for the absence of many of this RPG's members. Frothy Crema is right, that latest idea is fair, because it'll involve both ships, which means all of us available will have to post regarding the attack, etc. Pardon me for being so selfish back there. I just showed another sign I am not a worthy roleplayer in here...Pardon me.
And, no no no no no no no no no no no no, NO! I'm so against the only-four-moves-in-a-pokemon's-moveset rule, at least in this RPG. In games, I am okay with it, but not here, please. The previous Pokemon RPGs I joined in did not also enforce this rule, so I got used to the little freedom already. So please, if it's possible, let that not be enforced. It will be a very big burden for me. Of course, it's still stupid and annoying to see a Feraligatr attacking the adversary with a Thunderbolt, and I am against that too, honestly. The previous Pokemon RPGs I joined in allowed our pokemons to have MORE than four moves. Not just five, and six, but a lot. But the rules there made sure that the executed moves were reasonable. We all based from bulbapedia. We always made sure that that moves we executed during battles and such are seen on the specific pokemon's bulbapedia article. So...there. Sorry if I bored you with this useless past of mine. I just stated what I want regarding the moveset conversation in here.
About the OMEGA's vessels used to attack us. Well, am I the only one here who thinks that OMEGA should be using high technologies in attacking us? What I imagine from this looks very cool for me, honestly. But, I know, this is a Pokemon RPG, so that suggestion of mine is really really dumb. They should be using controlled pokemons. So yes, sorry. What pokemon then? I'm up for pseudo-legendaries. Preferably Salamence. He looks so badass! And, they will look different compared to the normal species of that. Because they are forcibly controlled, right? I'm not really good with art and describing what is formed by my poor imagination, so...I'll just go with your much prettier ideas over these little things, except for some certain cases...
Good bye.

I'm not sure the grunts, etc, would need to forcibly control Pokemon, seeing as that's not something any of the other "teams" do (unless it's a legendary/for nefarious purposes). They just seem like... normal trainers with bad ideals, and their Pokemon have been brought up the same/don't know better?
And stop putting yourself down, Xerexz! : P And you were NOT being selfish. I don't see how it can be wrong to want to be in on the action -- I just think, initially, this was something to get done and over with so we could get on with other stuff. Now it's turning into an exciting plot point of its own. Correct me if I'm wrong here, Zee, Emili. So you've made it more exciting, Xerexz, so there.

Right, right! Originally, I was thinking the attack would just happen offscreen so we could get on with other things, but this should be more interesting all around. =) And that's the whole point of this thread: to throw out ideas, debate them, change them, and try to make them into the best plot points for the roleplay.
And no, we're definitely not sticking to the four-move moveset restriction. =) No worries there. Just write what your pokemon is doing and make it believable.
When you say "high technology," what are you envisioning, Xerexz? I can't imagine them using much more technology than might be seen elsewhere in the pokeworld--partially because Sinister seems like he doesn't favor most of what humans have done so far, but also because I'm not sure where it would come from. But this will be a lot more, um . . . unconventional in terms of attacks by Teams of the past. It'll definitely be more destructive.
Likely, at a certain level a grunt would be given the first stage of a pseudo legendary. As soon as it evolved, it would be taken from him/her. (Sinister wouldn't be interested in letting trainers bond with their pokemon.) Those evolved forms would be passed on to the next level--and so on up to the commanders. The turnover rate at the top levels is rather indicative of just how hard bosses are on their pokemon.
