Faiza tilted her head to the side, one of her rare small smiles tugging at the corners of her mouth. Despite opening up a lot more around Morin, she was still much contained around others. "I suppose that is a good thing so few of the family attracts trouble. I live peacefully myself."
She glanced over at Morin, and the injury to his wing, and the smile on her lips twitched as it threatened to widen. "Perhaps there is a connection between the Phims in the family and trouble."

Akori frowned and looked over towards Morin, he should tell his lady friend about the connection as if she was important she deserved to know. However Morin and Akori’s father were very secretive foxes and even Akori didn’t know the whole story. “well anyways since it happened a while ago I’m sure dad will be back soon and you can introduce the important lady friend, Miss Faiza.”
Morin looked sad as Faiza spoke about the possible connection between phims. There was actually more of a connection than foxes thought and the less they knew about it the better. Kaname and Morin where naturally very secretive foxes and this was something they probably would never expand on. “ah yes, I would imagine so however as you are a phim in the family I would be careful as well” Morin lightly teased.

Faiza tossed her hair back and smiled. "I hardly think I count. I am not blood-related, and I am only a Phim by the virtue of my size and blood of my mother." A corner of her mouth quirked up in a slightly sarcastic smile. "Really, I have more in common with an elder than a Phim."
There actually were quite a few similarities between Phims and elders. The wings were the most obvious difference, naturally. Manes were a bit longer or shaggier, and female Phims had longer legs and ears. The idea was one Faiza liked to entertain herself with during her more bored moments.

“I would believe your analogy to be slightly more truthful if you where a male phim as we look a bit more like our elder gender counterpart. You however don’t look anything like a female elder I would have to say.” Morin pointed out lightly. They have that weird hair and even though yours is not curly like most other female phims it is still nothing like Female elders. They also seem to have a slightly more squashed face shape”
“What are you doing in back in the forest? Aren’t you supposed to be off on Harami land or something like that” a new voice pointed out. From the similar markings to Akori and the fact that he was a phim one would probably consider him to be Kaname, they would be right. Kaname looked to be relatively untouched by his earlier experience and those who knew him would say he was mentally fine as well. He raised a slight eyebrow when Akori said "see told you he would be back alive and well"

Faiza tilted her head. "Aside from my ears being longer and their ruffs being thicker, I do not believe we look so different. My hair might be longer and finer, but styles are a matter of choice." Just look at some of the hair cropping up around normals these days. Some had it a big longer, some quite a bit longer. Some even had ridiculously curly hair that rivaled a Phim. "I concede that the males of the species are more similar in looks that the females, however."
Faiza had barely finished speaking when a new voice piped up. She swung her head around to glance at the newcomer. This had to be Kaname then, judging by his patterns and how similar they were to Akori's. Hmmm, Akori must get his eyes and that orange from his mother. Her usual aloof and cautious manner stole over her. It seemed that no matter how many nice Phims Faiza met, she would always be nervous meeting new ones...

“Well there are some similarities I will admit but mostly I just see differences. Besides you look prettier than female elder” Morin stated with a huff. It wasn’t as if he was giving a complement, Morin wasn’t really one for such things however he did tend to state whatever he thought was true so sometimes it just came out that way. “Mmm yes new hair styles have been popping up” Morin agreed then turned to look at his cousin with a straight face. “Ah I see you survived. Well I came back because there was someone I wanted you to meet”
“Of course I am going to survive, there is too much to do to die off right now” Kaname stated with a slight snort. “Besides it wasn’t any one really important to worry about them. However I do think I knew my patient. Oh really?” he asked and turned to look at the new face among the group. A slight eyebrow rose at her hair style and turned to look at Morin remembering a time when his cousin had said he refused to associate with any phims that had that hairstyle. Of course he was being rather dramatic at the time. He also noticed the wings but after just seeing Hiei and Yoko he didn’t find them the least bit strange. Well he wouldn’t have found them strange in the first place. After all it wasn’t his place to care if she had different wings well she had different wings end of story. “Ah would this be my cousin in law?”

Faiza nodded in greeting, but didn't actually say anything to elaborate further. Instead she examined Kaname a bit closer. He and his cousin certainly had the same unconscious air of confidence and quietness, though that alone wasn't enough to help her properly relax.
((Is it wrong that I felt the urge to chuck Jaci in there XD?))

“Yes this would be your cousin in law” Morin stated. Well he was glad that there was truly nothing to worry about. He turned towards Faiza to see how she was doing. Kaname was a phim like the both of them. Even though he knew Kaname would have no problem with his mate. Old habits had a thing about not dying easily.
“Ah well welcome to the family I guess. I’m Kaname even though you probably already knew that.” He yawned. Today had been rather interesting and long. He got kidnapped to help foxes who where injured twice. It had to be a record.

Faiza glanced at Morin, then turned her bright red eyes back on Kaname. There was still a stiffness about her that she seemed to be trying to work though. "I made an educated guess," she responded. The reply was a bit sterile, perhaps because she was fighting so hard to remain neutral with all the little pieces of things she knew, things she had experienced, and things she hoped for dancing around in her mind and trying to influence her.
Her head tilted a fraction of an inch. "I am Faiza, though I am sure that you already knew that as well."

Morin just gave a small smile back. Why did he want to go out and have a semi family reunion again? With the exception of the boy’s mother’s side of the family, the group wasn’t really the social type. No his side of the family more went out and tried to take on the world turning everyone against themselves and hoped in the process their loved ones would be able to continue on happily. Well Kaname had better manners Morin would talk with Akori for a while. (actually about the jaci thing after you said that I totally had a vision of her stalking Kaname to see where the boys got their attitude from XD)
“Yes I figured as much with Akori here. We do have the same basic pattern if not a few colors. Yes I had guessed that even though Morin doesn’t mention you much, he said your name once or twice. Not to downplay my cousin he isn’t much for talking about personal life as you well know.” Kaname answered and then noticed Morin’s wing. Well might as well offer his assistance as well. “Your wing is hurt? Want me to speed along recovery?” Kaname asked tilting his head to the side. It looked well dressed at the moment something his cousin in law probably had a hand in doing. “Your dressing is very good. Have you had formal shaman training?” he asked Faiza.

((XD Would you like me to toss Jaci in? You know she'd delight in bugging others, and griping about how tall everyone is.))
Faiza suddenly smiled. A small one, but did she really have any other kind? She shook her head. "Everything I know I have learned from experience. I had to learn young, I was often my own caretaker as a kit." The fluffy tip of her tail twitched slightly, a common reaction when she even started approaching the issue of her past. It still wasn't something she'd put behind her, not quite yet.

“Ah well it was a very good job. You must have a natural gift for it then.” Kaname complimented before deciding to drop the subject him of all foxes weren’t one to really talk about pasts. He wasn’t sure if her slightly twitch was such a reaction but it was always best not to dwell on things that had already happened. “I do admit most of my training was my own as well although I had started the very beginning of my training when my parents passed on.”
“Ah that’s right Aunt Yuri and Uncle Haru where Shamans as well weren’t they” Morin stated trying to remember them. Only faint images popped up almost as blurry as his younger sister and parents. He chuckled a bit when Akori seemed to be surprised apparently Kaname didn’t talk about the poor kits grandparents all that much.

Thoughts turned around in her head, leaving Faiza wondering what to say and what to keep locked up. No need to tell them her father was a Daeva who'd walked out before her mother even had an inkling she might be pregnant, it wasn't something they needed to know and wasn't revelvant to the conversation.
No need to go into details about the Phim clan she had grown up in, but a little information couldn't hurt. "The clan I lived with did not have an official healer or shamen, so we had to learn to care for our hurts as best we could," Faiza said, glancing between all three males. Yes, that should do it. No need to mention that even if they had an official healer, she'd still need to learn the trade. No fox that fit in that group would have been willing to touch her to lend aid. Perhaps that was why they hadn't had one, come to think of it. ninja  "Ka~na~me!"
The very small and very colorful kit suddenly popped up. She'd been learning how to stalk others on land from Raz, though she didn't seem to be very good at it. No telling why...
"A~kori!"
Jaci came pelting up to the group as fast as her tiny legs could carry her, dashing right under Akori's front legs and almost slamming into Kaname before she managed a forced halt. Not that it would have mattered if she hadn't, since she was so small that Kaname probably wouldn't even feel her charging him full force and he was so fluffy that Jaci probably wouldn't have hurt herself.
She looked up at the Phim with her bright gold eyes. "What's going on? We having an impromptu meet and greet with strangers? You're not keeping secrets are you? Of course you are, you're always being secrety." Jaci turned around and looked at Akori. "Akori will tell me, won'tcha Akori?"
Without waiting for a response Jaci whirled around to look at the two Phims she'd never seen before. "Deities, do I feel tiny! So who're you guys? Not trying to steal our shaman and his kid, are ya?" She shook her head. "Kamane gets stolen a lot for a giant flapper."

“Ah that was rather very careless of them.” Kaname finally decided to say. He figured there was more and it probably had to do with Faiza’s wings if modifox nature was put into accord. However it wasn’t his place to delve in as he was hiding his own secrets. Seconds later a rather rare look of incredulous surprise landed its self on Kaname’s face as he was looking down at a small Perma kit he was quite familiar with. “J-jaci?” he asked still slightly not convinced he was hallucinating the whole thing. “Hey wait I don’t get kidnapped… other than today” Well this was definitely a strange day for him. Perhaps that’s why he didn’t go on vacations if they turned out like this one, the term was definitely to be feared.
“Ah Miss Jaci what has you on this side of the continent.” Akori spoke up he had been allowing the older adults to talk for a while and figured it wouldn’t be too bad speaking up right at the moment. Luckily they hadn’t gone over any ocean really however if Horus’s tales where true it wasn’t as if that would really stop her either. “Yep I can tell you we went to go meet Uncle Morin over there, then dad got kidnapped and now that we’re back we seem to be meeting more relatives.’ Akori explained nodding.
Morin was lightly nibbling on his tongue to keep from bursting out laughing. He didn’t think he had ever seen Kaname so slightly taken back before and the whole thing was very amusing. He knew that Akori’s siblings where the last kits in Kemet so since Akori was fully grown this had to be a perma. Perhaps this was the crocodile fighthing one? “mmm it could be worse and we could all be Daeva’s” Morin pointed out replying to the Tiny comment. They were at least a foot taller. “Nope we’re not stealing him at the moment, I’m his cousin and Faiza is his cousin in law, I was just introducing them like Akori said.”

Faiza was a bit taken aback, to say the least. Flapper? That was the oddest term she'd heard yet for a Phim, though admittedly she didn't hear many. She glanced around at all three males again. Kaname looked a bit taken aback, Akori looked matter-of-fact, and Morin appeared to be holding in laughter.
"You know this little one," she asked, tilting her head and looking curiously down at Jaci for a moment before glancing up at Kamane and Akori. It seemed obviously these two did, at least, since they were calling her by name.
Jaci scowled. "Listen here, missy, I'm probably the oldest one here! Show a little respect for your elders!" She snorted. "Little one indeed." She gave Akori an approving look.
"Visiting relatives, eh? Good on ya kid, knew I could count on ya to be honest." Not that Jaci didn't trust Kaname to tell her the truth either. She was just certain that she'd have had to pry it all out of him bit by bit. She then cocked her head and peered at Morin, ignoring the spluttering Kaname behind her. "Cousins, huh? Figures, you two don't really look a lot alike. So why ya meetin' all the way out here, is it some kind of secret that you're related?"
She whirled at looked up at Kaname. "Is that why you're always trying to dodge my questions. Hah! Betcha didn't think I'd actually follow ya," she said, grinning widely. Well, Jaci was sure Kaname at least suspected she'd tried before. Probably he hadn't bet that she actually could follow him.
((I just realized, Jaci's b-day is tomorrow : ) ))
