Waking up with a rather loud audible yawn, Gavin looked around from his hiding spot somewhere high up on top of the boat. Climbing out from under the beach umbrella that he'd brought with him and jammed in some convenient hole, Gavin tried to remember how he made his way up that high. Glancing down, he saw that many of the passengers were out and about so he looked for the easiest way down, which turned out to be some thick piping. Gavin mostly slide his way down, and hopped off away from the piping, rather close to some girl with odd fashion sense and headphones.

"Can I help you?" Emma asked, trying to sound irritated, but sounding more dead really. She had to wonder why he landed so close to her, was it needed at all? "If not I'd appreciate a little bit of space." Emma said before backing away a little bit, trying not to bump in to anybody.

"Huh?" Gavin grunted as he actually noticed how close to the girl he'd landed. He quickly started to wonder why the girl seemed so nervous and asked, "What's got your panties in a knot?" Then it clicked what he'd just said and started laughing.

Emma frowned at the comment and shook her head, she suspected spending extreme amounts of time around this person would cause severe stupidity. "I don't like it when people are too close to me, it puts me at a disadvantage." Emma said, being both short and light weight made her not as strong as she could be. Note to self: Keep a well-maintained distance...for more than one reason.

"What with your size? You could just dart under someone and kick 'em in the back of the knee eh? It's like close to an auto-win if you can down someone that fast." Gavin exclaimed, slightly jealous of her lack of height, being tall meant it was hard to squeeze into tiny spaces which got really annoying sometimes.

"If I fail then I won't be able to defend myself easily, and besides..." Another half of the reason she refused to resort to such tactics was because she was modest. "My clothing is all patchwork, doing things like that will get them torn up pretty badly." Those two factors made Emma want to fight like a regular person, tall or not. The only thing that wasn't hand made was her hoodie, even that was messed up horribly already.

"What's the point of being a patchwork mess if you could end up facing someone who grapples a lot? Your clothes would be ripped to shreds." Gavin retorted and had nearly added Not that it'd be entirely such a bad thing but caught himself before it slipped out. "You should probably think of gettin' some practical gear." He added, though doubting the girl would listen to his advice.

"I keep my distance." Emma replied quickly, besides, if they got close a couple of times she could sacrifice just a little bit to escape. "I prefer this, it's easy to move around in." She'd been wearing that kind of clothing for so long is was almost like her skin, moving in it was simple and natural. On another note she carried a few pins and threads to put her clothing back together should anything ever happen to it. "And unlike some peope I could barely afford to gain the supplies needed for what I'm wearing."

Gavin began to suspect the girl really, really didn't liked being touched and pondered how easy it'd be to mess with her head. A devilish grin spread across Gavin's face as he started to step closer to the girl. In nearly an instant, Gavin's left hand shot out towards the girl's face. Though it wasn't in a fist, He was trying to poke her nose.

Emma remained silent and kept a straight face on, but she was becoming wary of the guy. She took steps backwards to match his forward, yet she still tried to make sure she didn't touch anybody else. Her training had made it hard for her to show emotion, but when Gavin touched her she almost practically froze. It wasn't that she was scared, she just wanted to keep herself safe. "Please do not touch me." She said in a cold voice before backing farther away from him.

Gavin felt a chill run up his spine and he backed off a bit, there was definitely something off with the girl, the way she reacted was impossible for Gavin to comprehend. "Yeah er... Sorry I'll leave you alone now." He said in a quiet voice and started to walk away from the disturbed girl. After a last glance back, Gavin pondered what he was gonna do to kill time now.

Emma was glad that little meeting was over, people invading her personal space was a huge problem. She went back to listening to her music with her eyes closed, she had to be prepared for arrival. She certainly found a nice way to keep one person away from her at least.
