"O-okay... I-" She shrunk back, clearly embarrassed at her clumsiness, "T-thank you..." Izumi cracked a tiny smile at Jerome before quietly going back to investigating whatever it was that they'd picked up.
It was certainly interesting... Black and white plating, metal, triangular spokes... It looked a lot like something, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it...

He looked back up at her when she thanked him, he hovered in a moment of not really knowing that to say, before he just jutted his chin out a little in acceptance of her thanks, and looked away again. She wasn't hurt, back to business looking for this 'alternator'
"So you takin' that thing? Whats this other one yer lookin' for?"

"Yes... Um- I-it's a small cylinder shaped thing, in a car engine usually. Connect to the battery, have a belt, make the AC run..." She explained without taking her eyes off of the thing in her hand. "A-actually... It'll probably just be faster to modify a normal one back at the shop-" Izumi looked at Jerome apologetically, she felt bad that they'd came to the Yard and she'd caused him to get hurt, however minor it was--which could have meant anything, considering how Jerome kept saying it was nothing when he was bleeding and about to pass out...
"I-I'll fix your mp3 player for free. S-since you came all the way out here and helped..."

Once again she was speaking a bunch of words that he didn't understand, but he listened quietly, getting the best idea of what she wanted... or as good of an idea as he could get.
Admittedly feeling a little relived when she called the search off though, he didn't expect it would go very quickly if he kept having to get her to look over every random part he found.
"Cool." He said with another careless shrug and he turned back to walk over to her. lifting his head a little more when she said she would fix his MP3 player for free. ... That was good, mostly becasue he didn't have any money to begin with. "Sounds good to me. how long somethin' like that take?"

"Not too long... I'll have to check how much is damaged before I give you an estimate, though. Did you want it looking like new, or just working?" She asked as she started moving to leave the junkyard and go back to her shop, her eyes glued to the gizmo in her hand. What was it... It looked really familiar... And then it dawned on her, when the large ball that'd been dangling from a mess of wires swung a certain way and caught her eye. She gasped, "Jerome! It's a Beldum!"

"I don't really care if it looks nice, just so long as its workin' okay." He answered, -he- was the one that broke it after all, she didn't need to go waiting time on making something he got for free (or stole) look like new.
When she declaired that she knew what the thing she was holding was, Jerome frowned, and started at the wracked heap. "A Beldum? like that white one you got at the shop?" He raised an eyebrow "its dead than. s**t, somethin' tore into that one real good."

"I know..." She said breathlessly. "I-I think... maybe... I can fix it..." Izumi turned it over in her hands, various wires and parts dangling uselessly as she moved it about; The girl was so busy examining and thinking that she was obviously not paying attention to where she was walking, instead slowing her pace and following closely behind Jerome.

... She was going to fall again, He knew she was, not watching where she was going.. again. But at least she was following him, and pretty closely, so he just made sure to take a rout that would keep her from falling over. "Ya can fix a pokemon?" He asked, sounding a little surprised.

"Well... Theoretically? At least Beldum, or magnemite, mechanical bio-forms like that... I mean, I've patched Wheatley up the few times he's gotten into trouble, so- Maybe I can fix this one?" Izumi walked behind Jerome close enough that every so often her hands and the broken pokemon would bump into the small of his back while they were walking. At least she wouldn't fall over again.

After the first two times of that pokemon being bumped into him, he grew to expect it. It was a way to make sure she was still behind him anyway. Good, becasue he had to keep an eye out in the streets for them.
"so yer just ganna see if you can do it." He confirmed. "Might get a new pokemon outta this."

"Yes!" Izumi replied cheerfully, "I hope I can fix it... Wheatley could use a new friend..." The girl sighed; The same could be said for her. At least a new pokemon would sort of be like getting a new friend.
Before too long, the Mechanic's shop came back into view at the end of the street.

He really never heard or something like that, he was kinda interested to see if she would be able to do it or not. the Beldum looked pretty dead to him, but no reason to push that on her. she could try if she wanted to.
Once they reached the shop, Jerome stepped to the side, figuring she would need to pull out her key to unlock it.

Izumi looked up when Jerome stepped to the side, realizing she was home, and simply opened the door to step in. No key. No locks. She just walked in. "I'll get your mp3 player fixed before I start on this... um- Would you like a sandwich or anything while you wait?" It was getting to be lunch time and she was hungry; There was work to do, though, so it'd have to wait unless the customer wanted something. Izumi placed the broken pokemon down on her workbench and pulled the mp3 player over to focus on it.

Jerome's eyebrown narrowed together, unsure if he missed something... she didn't lock her shop? One of his shoulders sagged slightly. He was really starting to wonder just how she was managing to stay alive, and not robbed every day in a hood like this.
Following her in, arms folding over his chest as she reached over to get his MP3 player. "Naw, not really that hungry" He answered, watching what she was doing with a still expression

"Alright..." Izumi frowned a little, disappointed that she wouldn't be able to eat until after she was done fixing the little player. She stripped off the casing and put the machine under the magnifying lamp, examining the crushed device thoroughly. "You should be careful not to sit on these... I hope there wasn't anything on here you really wanted to save, the hard drive is wrecked... And- I'm going to need to replace the touch sensors..." Izumi looked up from the broken little device and smiled at Jerome, "At least you didn't drop it in the water." She chuckled.
