The only thing that escaped her mouth that was even nearly intelligent was: "Swah?" Which, now to think of it, wasn't to intelligent. The water sucked her into the pond, sending her flailing into the water without any air in her lungs. Panicked, she kicked to the surface, head breaking through the top and gasping for air, coughing out water in the process. When she collected air she dived under, locating Apollo and rapidly grabbing his tail with her teeth (lightly enough), and dragging him downwards.
The jerk had nearly drowned her! He was sooooo in for it!

((Gods, they're repeating what Leo and Aegle went through >_> Or I think they had a water battle, it's been awhile. I remember a river though lol.))
Apollo would have laughed, but that would mean losing precious air. He did get to grin like a fool though, and engaged Evoe in underwater wrestling. Already he could tell Evoe was a lot more competitive than he was when it came to everyday stuff, so he knew she'd take getting dragged in the lake in a very energetic way. It was kinda cute...
Since they had similar lung capacities, by the time Apollo needed air he was pretty certain Evoe did too. The green male struck out for the surface, half-dragging Evoe with him since she still had ahold of his tail.

When he was close enough to the surface she let go, sticking her tongue out as she swam up and burst through the surface. She gasped for air, swimming over to the bank, pulling herself up, and shaking herself off before flopping onto the ground and panting. She rolled onto her side to look over at Apollo, huffing at him. Such an active male, he matched her own active ball of energy. Though that under water business was not cool, not cool at all. She still had a favor, too! Oh the things she could make him do...
However her stomach rumbled, causing her to roll onto the other side and stretch to try and help the slight ache. Great, wet and hungry, a fun combo. Oh Apollo was so in for it! Her tail wagged as she imagined what she could do to the male, a smirk on her lips.

Apollo also swam over to the edge of the pond, though he pulled himself out further from Evoe so that when he shook off he wouldn't get her wet all over again. Or vice versa.
He spotted where the female was stretched out on the bank and approached, chuckling. "Whatcha think, having an interesting time yet," he asked teasingly, sitting down next to her. It was so adorable how she was still plotting, judging by the look in her eyes, even as she looked completely tired and stretched out on the ground.

She looked up at him, blinking at the male. A low sigh escaped her as she stood, head tilting to the side. "Maybe." She grew quiet for a brief second after before smiling and looking at him. "It's just weird. When I was with my parents I was never allowed to do these things. " She looked at the sky, eyes lowering back to Apollo. "You have to go home soon, don't you?" Disappointment crossed on her face as the multi-colored vixen sighed softly, again.
"Well, if you don't have to yet, want to get food?" She mewled, grinning at the male. "And we can work together.... no competing this time." She said, nodding at the male. Wait, she hadn't used her favor yet, had she? Hmm.... She had an idea for that.

Apollo cast a speculative glance up at the sky. "Yea, I probably do," he said, sighing. "Pops and the others know I was gonna be gone for the day, I usually am. Scouting, sometimes gathering, just odds and ends sorta things. But I'm always back by night. We have to check in with each other, ya know. This place can be pretty dangerous, then there's always the chance of an accident. If I don't show up for the night, they might send scouts out looking for me."
Apollo cast a discret glance at Evoe. His tribe wasn't.....hostile, persay. At least they wouldn't harm Evoe if she wasn't a threat. But both of them would get in some serious trouble. Apollo would already be breaking some rules by not reporting her presence to Ecthelion, and he didn't want to repeat the things his father had done.
Still, it just seemed wrong to report Evoe like she was some kind of threat to the Clan...
He cast a more open, apologetic look at Evoe. "I can come back, tomorrow? There's not much worth hunting at night here anyway, most of the prey is dinural."

"Well," She stopped, suddenly realizing why he was acting weird. He had a home. He had a tribe. Maybe he'd get in trouble? Was he already in trouble? Her ears lowered, nodding softly.
"If it's alright, then I'd like to see you tomorrow. However, if you are getting in trouble because of me...." She looked at him with a little smile. "I wouldn't want you to be yelled at! Maybe you should ask if you can meet me? Isn't that what you do with Elders?"
She liked being near Apollo, she only hoped he did, too. Actually, she wanted him to teach her how to do that strange leaping thing he was doing earlier~ Though, she also didn't want him to be in trouble because of little trouble making Evoe.

Apollo bit his lip. What he wanted to say was that he wouldn't be in trouble and that he totally would ask his Elder, just to reassure her, but it didn't seem right to lie. More importantly, if she believed him then his lies might get both of them in trouble. He'd rather take all the heat on himself, it wasn't like he hadn't pissed a lot of important people off before.
"I'd rather not tell," he confessed. "I mean don't get me wrong, we aren't a violent tribe or anything like that. But we're shadows, ya know? Supposed to be unseen, unheard, misdirect intruders out of our territory through any means possible." He shook his head. "Shoulda run you off when I saw ya, that's what I'm supposed to do."
Apollo looked at Evoe with pleading eyes, hoping she'd understand. "We got our reasons. Ecthelion, our elder, he and his mate are the only ones left of the original clan. Apparently we were wiped out, all but them killed. The clan now, we're all people that just found our way here. Past like that I guess I see why the elder wants us to stay hidden. And maybe it was wrong of me not to do what I was supposed to have done, but-."
His expression crumpled into frustrated confusion. He didn't know how to properly explain it, or at least not in a way that wouldn't scare Evoe off. The only way Apollo knew that Ecthelion would accept her presence though, and Apollo's association with her, was if she planned to join the clan. He felt horribly torn between his duty as a member of the Omaticaya clan and his own free, if sometimes reckless, spirit. Torn between pushing Evoe away before this became painful for them and wanting to actually start a relationship of sorts with her.

She nodded, heart sinking as he spoke. She was not supposed to have met Apollo, not supposed to be talking to him. Would he leave now? Would she never see him again? Would he say goodbye and return home? Why did this make the normally upbeat vixen lower her ears and her stomach jump? She didn't want to never see Apollo again, she wanted to see him and learn how to jump around like he did and.... and hang out with him.
Then he said "but", trailing off. She didn't show off hope, not wanting to force the male to make any choices he didn't want to do himself. Softly, she tilted her head and looked at him.
"..But?" She asked, urging him to finish his sentence, hoping he'd say he would see her again. Then again.... would she cause him to get in trouble? Oh.... at this point she would even join the damn tribe to see him. Then again, that was way to fast and risky. He could get tired of her in days, and they had just met.
So how could they work out meeting again...then?

Apollo sighed and ran a paw through his unruly mane of hair. "I dunno." He cast his mind around for a way to explain. "Ya know how actions are supposed to speak louder than words? Well I'm that kind a guy." He gave Evoe a rueful smile. "I've never been all that stellar at explaining how I feel, ya know."
He looked around them, as the sun started dipping below the horizon. Already plants were beginning to luminesce. Wasn't much time left before he had to leave. "I dunno," he said again. "I hate to promise anything if I can't deliver, but..." He looked up at Evoe, expression serious. "Just...stay here for a couple days. Keep an eye out and hide if you see anyone else, especially a blue vixen wearing clothes. I'll try my very best to come out tomorrow, but if Ecthelion or Pops seem suspcious I'll need a couple days to throw them off the trail."

Her eyes widened at his words, absolutely shocked. Though she didn't want to get him in trouble her heart practically fluttered at the chance to see him again. She was never the kind of girl to wait around for someone, ever. She wasn't the kind to even desire to stick with one person constantly. Yes, she was alone usually and loved company, but no one ever really were as active as she was. They weren't as real as Apollo, and they didn't make her giggle like an idiot and want to see his own smile caused by her as he did.
So, when he made the offer her eyes widened, mouth open for a brief second. A smile crossed on her lips, nodding softly. "I'll stick around for a few days." She said, nodding. "But if I get you in trouble.... I'll go away. I don't want you in trouble, Apollo~"

Apollo laughed and shook his head. "Trouble is very weird around here. But ya know, if ya want a shot at something great ya gotta be willing to accept as much risk as possible reward." He winked, then turned and pelted off through the bushes.
While Apollo ran he tried to calm him heart. If he showed a troubled face his clan would definetly know something was up. For now he had to hide Evoe from even himself, cause she was safest like that. If it worked he'd have a shot at seeing her again tomorrow...
Apollo did make it to Home Tree before it got so late that others began to worry, and as he curled up on his individual branch and prepared for sleep his mind was with a black, green, and pink vixen he knew to be somewhere in the forest.

Evoe was nearby, placed in a tree in silence. She had mastered being quiet by now, though it did leave her restless. Would Apollo return? Or was he the kind of man that said he would and was really just letting her down nicely? Though, she doubted he was that kind of man, he seemed genuine and kind, if a little mellow. She liked that about him, it made her feel safe to be herself. Her tail wrapped around the branch she was in, sighing gently.
She hated waiting, though. She liked the idea of seeing Apollo, though she was more of the an active person, either moving about or wanting to help assist others.
Though, she really did want to see Apollo, and she was restless. However, she had promised not to be caught, and so she would not move around unless Apollo found her. She did not want to get the man she may possssibbbllyyyy have a crush on to get in trouble.

Apollo was nearly bursting with impatience. He'd reeeeeally wanted to go back to see Evoe yesterday, but his dad had asked him to run a couple errands, gatherer stuff, since he'd been running around most of the day before. Apollo had done his best not to complain and stick close Home Tree. Apparently he had done enough penance, because today his dad had left him run off without instruction.
Hmmmm. Maybe to prevent another relapse like that he'd hold a gathering contest with him and Evoe. That way he could bring some stuff back home and be all productive and everything, while still getting to hang out with his.....
Huh. Just what was Evoe to him? Was she even his? It seemed presumptuous and maybe a little rude to call her his girl, but she seemed to already be a little more than a friend. Crush? Sounded about right.
Finally Apollo made it to the place where he and Evoe had met last, only a little out of breath because he'd been moving fast to get there in a good amount of time. "Babe. You still around here," he called, looking around and wondering if the vixen had even decided to stay after he didn't show up yesterday.

Evoe patiently flicked her tail, still wanting nothing more than to leap down and stretch her limbs, though she kept quiet. Until that is she heard footsteps, ears going back as she kept her breath still until she smelled a familiar scent, tail wiggling once, halting. What if he was with someone?
Then Apollo spoke and she lowered her head to view him from where he was. She didn't distrust Apollo, not even a thought that he could be setting her up crossed her mind, unlike some other cautious foxes might think. Instead, she leapt from where she was, appearing at Apollo's side, and brushing against him, smiling wide.
"Yup~" She purred, tail wagging quickly. Well, he had returned! Flipping her hair out of her hair, she sent a small nuzzle his way before plopping down in-front of him, grinning.
"So, the bad boy isn't in trouble, right?"
