This pairing is very popular in fan fictions. It would not really work because of their different personalties and goals. Aeris wants to save the world, while Sephiroth want to destroy it.

I've seen a fan art with Seph and Aeris as a couple, it actually seemed pretty cool. Before Sephiroth went all crazy, they'd be a pretty good couple.

I don't like it.
She's just not tough enough. Before he went nuts, he may have been kind, but I just don't see them being compatable. Their past being in common means very little, I would say.
