Carol opened the large freezer and squinted her eyes as a cloud of frost and cold air blew out from it and hung in the air just around the refrigerator.
She threw her arm in, digging through the tundra, until she uncovered a tub of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream.
She balanced the tub in her hand as she stepped back and shut the freezer.
"So what will it be, strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate?" she asked, setting two small bowls and spoons on the counter. She found the ice cream scoop in the silverware cabinet and began to rinse it with hot water.

"Chocolate, Please!" Sara said excitededly as she leaned against the counter on her tip toes trying to wacth as Carol bagan to open the tub of ice cream

"Chocolate it is" she replied, digging the heated spoon into the side of the tub. She filled the bowl with three scoops of ice cream and handed it to Sara, along with a small container full of rainbow sprinkles.
Carol then proceeded to scoop herself out some strawberry ice cream and then returned the tub to its spot in the freezer.
She dug into her ice cream there at the counter, savoring the chunks of real strawberries.

"Thank you!" Sara sadi as she quickly tossed some sprinkles on the ice cream a she beagan to eat it savoring the taste.

"You know what," Carol said between spoonfuls of ice cream, "I should speak to Astrol about you joining the Teen Titans in a couple of years. You have some amazing powers, and you're already fitting in quite well I would say"
In the back of her mind, Sara's unconscious ability to destroy structures did concern her, but she didn't let the thought show. Sara was still young, and perhaps that certain power-- along with any others she may have-- could possibly be practiced and trained.
Carol smiled at the thought of Sara finally being in a 'school' that is fitting for her.

~*Nightingale's masked eyes fell onto the cold confection, and went wide with alarm, "Ice-cream..." she whispered, "By X'hal...not again!"
Trying to physically steer the Tremarian from the room was impossible, and the older hero gve up...vividly remembering the last time a certain someone had realised she was addicted to the creamy confection...
She turned t the others, "You'd better run..." she stated calmly, as Sphyria flew for the ice-cream...*~

"Mother who is that with Sphyria?" Sara asked Carol a bit unconfertible about being told to run.

"I honestly don't know" Carol replied to her daughter, dropping the bowl of strawberry ice cream on the counter and hurrying over to Sara as the new member advised them to flee.
With surprising strength, Carol's small body was able to slide Sara's chair a few feet away, leaving a path for the Tremarian. She laughed, and walked over to the freezer.
"I see you're feeling better, Sphyria" she said, shooting Sara a happy look. The small, silver-haired girl was surely the one responsible for Sphyria's good health.
Carol was standing by the freezer ready to offer Sphyria her own bowl of ice cream when she recalled what the Tremarian had told her at the sick bay. Sugar was behind the illness that Sphyria had just recently suffered.
Carol took her hand back from the handle of the freezer door.
"Oh, I don't believe we've met" she said, making her way over to the newcomer.
She offered her hand, smiling.
"I'm Carol Reed"

Sara suddently realized she didn't have her bowl of ice cream which she had only eaten half of. "My ice cream."

~*Nightingale passed the bowl over to the small girl, wondering why a child was in the Tower...
"I am Nightingale, partner to the Vigilante Hero, The Kestrel...She finally allowed me to join the Titans, and Sphyria, on condition I never reveal my name...or remove my mask in any other's prescence. Except Sphyria...but that's another story..."
The yellow/gold and black clad hero gave an inclination of the head to this 'Carol' and the child, before turning back to the blue alien...
"Sphyria...? Now would be a good time to calm down..." she suggested...*~

Carol nodded, although still somewhat confused. She smiled all the same however. She watched the two Titans interact.
Carol couldn't see the hero's face, so she simply had to ask,
"Are you of the same planet as Sphyria?"

~*Nightingale let out a seldom-heard laugh... "No, I am completely human...The Kestrel and I merely rescued a certain royal blue asteroid when it struck the center of our city, Gotham..." she explained.
Sphyria left off her ice-cream binge to add, "Truly, they were most kind and generous in helping me...and H- Nightingale is as close as family now...Though the Kestrel would have you think otherwise of our relationship..." the alien pouted.*~
