Her laugh was pretty, "I would be fixing the trolleys and operating them during the day. And during the day...I would be at raves." He chewed on his lip. "And have aids from my cheater of a lover. We were engaged." He shook his head. "Why people did that crap I have no idea. I had been so broken over it. Now it doesn't seem so severe."

Kaya shrugged, not sure how to respond to something like that. It's not like she could really empathize with the guy, the teacher hadn't had a serious relationship like that. Nor had she ever been cheated on. People knew better than to cross her, she was rather lethal. Well, at least she wouldn't have to worry about having a cheating lover now, there wasn't much left to choose from....Heinrich was good looking, but it was hard to really tell how much longer either of them had. Hell, he might not even want her around if she couldn't pull her weight of more.

He grinned and nodded, "Ja. Ja. I loved working with my hands, and not in the perky way you probably thought of." He said glancing at her and wiggled his eyebrows a bit. "I lived for back breaking labor. It was so much fun to take heavy machinery apart and put it all back together."

The woman burst out laughing, sitting up so she could hold her stomach to keep from busting a gut. Okay, the hand thing had been funny, but those eyebrows had killed her. Kaya covered her mouth, trying to mute the hysterics until they subsided, and wiped the tears that had sprung in her eyes.
"That's good though, most everything is physically demanding now," The woman looked down at him and snickered again, thinking of his damned eyebrows, "Only reason I became a P.E teacher was to be challenged physically. High school boys are so overconfident, showing them up in sports was what I looked forward to each day."

"God i wish i had you as a P.E. teacher. mine was a dude and a total *****. he would like...look at me when i was pumping weights durring weight lifting class." He shuddered. "Not even that great looking. I think he got fired a few years later for molesting some kid." He shrugged and took the potatoes off the fire and grabbed two bowls and two forks.

Kaya wrinkled her nose up in disgust. Oh, god, she hated the ***** teachers. They were so disgusting and so obvious the harder they tried. She brushed the red hair back behind her ear before snagging the bandana and fastening it as a headband. The girl spun a little, facing the blonde and looked down at the potatoes. Small noises of amazement escaped her, and she rubbed her hands together in excitement.
"Meat and potatoes for dinner, I didn't even eat this well before this damn epidemic!"

"Really? This was an everyday thing for me. Much to my lovers disgust. He was vegan...and bulimic. If he hadn't died by the cure...he would have dies by the fact that he was so underweight. When we...yeah...i couldn't even move him around that much. He would bruise so easily and he felt like he was gonna break." He let out a sigh as he served them. He started to eat them and savored the taste as he took another strip of meat and put it in his mouth as well.

The woman shrugged and cut a piece off her potato, stabbing it with her fork and draping a piece of meat over it before sticking it into her mouth and letting out a long sound of appreciation and utter peace. This was heaven on Earth if she'd ever see it. Good food, good company, nice weather, a fire....Oh yeah, and about 90% of the population gone.....
"You don't have an amazing budget being a single High School P.E teacher."

"You don't have a good one when your a Trolley mechanic. I had to scrounge on the side to put food on the table and put like...two people through collage. I'm not going to go into details. You know enough of my sob story...i'm sorry if i keep going on about it. I just haven't had anyone to vent to about it...and lord am i lonely." He said smiling wistfully as he basically inhaled his potatoes. "You like beer?"

"Never had it," she shrugged and chewed on the potato some more,"The kids around me were always wasted, so I never really was interested in it. But hey, why the hell not? Don't know how much longer I have." That's right, she'd never had a drink before, huh? How sad was that, what if she'd died before ever having that experience....?

"It's a real German party now." He joked as he got two beers. He passed one to her and opened his own. The were in the glass bottles. "I don't like any of that canned s**t. Tastes like piss. I like bottled stuff. Always tastes better. This is actually my own. Beer goes bad after a while. And i can't live without it. Its my life blood." He joked and drank some.

Just the smell could have put her off of the stuff forever. Kaya held the bottle away from her face for a second, looking over it instead. How disgusting was that smell! Couldn't have tasted much better...But if Heinrich could stomach the stuff....The teacher held her breath and took a swig, gagging a little on the flavor. She snagged a piece of meat and threw it in her mouth, trying to get the flavor out.

"Jesus Christ woman." He said snagging the bottle from her. "That's like one of the best beers too. I would hate to see how you would react to Coors." He felt slightly offended and paranoid. Was his beer that bad? Everyone else seemed to like it when they were alive...his grandpa taught him how to make it...

Kaya wiped a few tears from her face, ignoring how pathetic she must look right now. Her face started hazing pink and her vision blurred drastically. The teacher shook her head slowly before hiccuping and starting to giggle.
"Heeeey Hein-y,"she snickered, words slurring slightly,"Yer too touchy bout yer beer..."

If only she was a man. One could only dream he supposed. He drank both beers and finished off his bowl before putting everything away including wrapping up the meat and putting out the fire. He put the meat in the fridge and decided to put the rest of the dear into a cooler filled with ice so they could figure out what to do with the rest of it the next day.
"We should get rest." He muttered.
