Jove's sneezing fit held him in quite a firm grasp, even as he wandered over to Aksaja he gave one or two more squeaky sneezes. Then he rubbed his nose as he crouched down next to the dragon. His ears perked, and with a pleased expression in his eyes he plucked up one of the mushrooms and popped it into his mouth. These were definitely good mushrooms.

He glanced up at Tomoko out of the corner of his eye, and then quickly trotted over when he saw which mushrooms she was eyeing. He tilted his head, gave them a sniff, and then poked one with suspicion. Almost instantly a terrible stench wafted from the offended mushrooms, and Jove clamped one hand over his nose. He quickly pulled Tomoko away from those mushrooms too.

He tugged her right over to Tess, where his ears perked and his eyes lit up with delight at the sight of the little treasures she had found. Though he was still as unsmiling as ever, there was a great amount of gratitude and relief expressed in his body language as he wagged his tail at the half-bodied ghoul. These were the ones he needed! The little cluster of pale caps were already starting to emit a pale blue glow, and with great care the pup dug his fingers into the earth around them, scooping up copious amounts of dirt and as much of the fungal mycelium as possible in his little hands. With great satisfaction he trotted back to the wagon and gently deposited his treasure.

Wiping the dirt off his hands and onto his pants with a careless disregard for the laundry that would have to be done later, the pup trotted excitedly back over to Seiji. And then slowed down. He actually had no idea what those were. "Awwr..." He made a confused noise and head tilted, crouching down in front of those things for a second... And then one moved. Fluffy ears perked forward in surprise, and then he promptly whirled and trotted off, determined to ignore whatever it was those weird things had been.

When he noticed Ren had another discovery, he warily approached, but scented nothing amiss. In fact, Ren had found some quite pretty little mushrooms. Jove wagged his tail and admired them for a minute, but they weren't the glowing sort so he left them alone. He wasn't even going to eat them. Even at the best of times he was not a fan of crazy hallucinations, let alone on an evening where he had a very important thing to do.

So not these mushrooms huh? It would have helped had he known what he was looking for, but before he could ask for some hint Jove had already run off to the next person.

A friendly nod to the girl with no legs, then Sheridan had turned around to look behind where he had been standing. Maybe there was something over there.

A hand reached out to the large, slightly orange mushrooms before he thought it might be a better idea not to touch an unfamiliar mushroom. Maybe these were what Jove was looking for?

Oh my! Jove seemed to really like this one! Junko watched as he treated it like a delicate work of art, a huge smile on her face. She'd found a really good one, then! She was glad. It seemed Tess had found a good mushroom as well! What was Jove looking for in these mushrooms though? Was he going to eat them? Before she could ask his intentions she suddenly found herself being hugged by the small pup, not caring that he was getting her kimono dirty since she could easily wash it. "I'm glad you like that one, Jove!" She chirped, earning an exasperated sigh from Her that she blatantly ignored.

She hurried over to Seiji and hugged his arm, grinning proudly up at him. "I found one!" She told him excitedly, bouncing and humming as she looked around to see if anyone else had any luck.

It seemed the others were having a hard time finding mushrooms! Oh dear. It's not like she had any advice to offer but..maybe she could help somehow? But how could she? Maybe an extra pair of eyes? "Everything alright, Tomo-chan?" Junko asked the frustrated kitsune. A frown didn't suit the face of anyone she cared about!

Sheridan raised a brow, an amused (and slightly baffled) smile flashing across his face. That had certainly been unexpected and interesting, even if they hadn't been the right mushrooms. It was a shame he didn't have any books on mushrooms, it might have given him a better idea of what he was looking for. He'd have to rectify that later.

He was wandering a little deeper into the forest now, searching around the base of various trees, scanning for any hint of anything that might be glowing. Briefly he wondered what a field of glowing mushrooms might look like, did they look like stars? Or maybe like luminescent fish floating in the deepest oceans?

Kneeling down, the dragon examined a clump of mushrooms at the base of a tall tree. They were medium sized, white (or where they a pale yellow) with bright blue spots.

"Jove, what about these?"

He wasn't sure if they would glow or not, but they seemed more likely candidates than his previous finds.

Aksaja grinned when Jove apparently approved of the mushrooms he had found. Deciding to be a bit more helpful, the lightning dragon started carefully digging up the ones that were left at his feet. Maybe a few bad ones got into the pile doing that, but he tried to get all of the ones that looked the same.

Glancing about, he noticed more people finding the "right" kind of mushrooms and smiled faintly. That was good, as apparently the pup really liked them.

Tomoko looked at Jove curiously when he'd come over, somewhat expecting to be lead away from her discovery once again with some sort of worry about her attracting things that were just disgusting and horrible and would make her sick.

Or something.

However, it seemed that for once she'd found something that wouldn't rot her nose off of her, seeming to just cheer up leaps and bounds from how she'd been before.

Hooray, success!

"Chiiiiirriip?" she seemed to make an inquiry to the boil as she tailed him back to the wagon he had been filling with the mushrooms, crouching down by it to give it a look over. Wow! They were all so glow-y! She paused, holding her ball out in front of her and shaking it, holding it out to see if it glowed anywhere near as well. Hmmm.

There was a vague urge to catch the futakuchi-onna as she slipped away from him to search on his own, but he resisted, stuffing his hands carefully into his pockets. It had become habit as of late for him to be quite reluctant to let her go whenever she was around, and he was beginning to realize it and really didn't like it. He was not the clingy type, never had been, but something about that damn island had changed things. After.. Everything, Junko had locked herself in his room. Something had happened, but she wouldn't tell him what. It was unsettling.

But, they were all working forgetting that dreadful place and getting back to normal. He could do that.

Watching Jove dart away from the not-mushrooms, the ghost boil frowned, eyes narrowing down at the wiggling little pods. "Useless things." He prodded one with a toe and hurriedly walked away himself when the top of it flipped up to reveal a double row of pointy little teeth. Definitely not mushrooms.

The next patch he came across was thin and spindly and a very odd shade of grey brown. They looked a little more promising then the last batch, but barely. These, at least, weren't moving or carnivorous. "Jove?" He removed his black hand from his pocket to gesture idly at the group with the tip of a claw. "These aren't right either, are they?"
