"I'm glad to meet you Deli.." Eta V replied, a small appearing behind the mask. "And I'm glad to meet your comrades as well" The act of introducing and being introduced...it just seemed so normal...It was good to do something normal for a change, and he was also happy to meet others who weren't hostile towards him.

Deli's attempt at humor was not lost on him either, His joke bringing a small chuckle from the eta. "I dunno about bleach... but I wouldn't mind a machine gun" Not that he could see himself using a machine gun...but the idea was nice

"You can call me anything you want" he then replied to deli at his question about nicknames. "I've just been calling myself Eta 5, I haven't though of anything else to use...not even my real name"

Poor guy... seemed that Deli wasn't the only one freaking out, though it was understandable. Delta 5 still couldn't shake the cold feeling her body just looking at what was coming for them but hearing Deli joke around while trying to cheer up Eta V made her feel a little better as well. "Yup, seems like Deva is the one that stuck. Pleasure to meet you Eta V." she replied with a smile, trying to sound a bit cheerier to make up for the lack of a visual face. No point in not bring friendly right now since it seemed they were all going to have to stick together and give it their best against the hoard of bodies.

"I could do with some fire. Lots and lots of fire would be very nice..." she commented when the talk of weapons came up. It would serve as a barrier as well as doing some extra damager, so what wasn't to like? "Deli is big on nicknames, though I still don't think DVD was really the best thing..." laughing a little bit and giving Deli a friendly nudge on the shoulder. "So you might not want him trying to give you a nickname."

"The pleasures all mine" Eta v said to Delta 5. "As to her suggestion, he nodded, thinking about how good a fire would be to keep the zombies at bay. "Perhaps, with all the items and glass lying about, we could make a fire out of it?"

As he was talking with Deli, his eye caught movement outside their base, and he looked towards the mass of dead bodies.....

...what Were they doing?!?!

Eta V walked over to the edge of the base, staring out the broken window in pure awe at the spectacle.

They....

They were..

Dancing

It was a horrifying sight. his body went rigid with terror, and he couldn't even speak, let alone scream out his fright. But with this new fear came...a strange urge. The dance was so...compelling. It was amazing how their rotten corpses could move so well. He had to give it to them that could pull of such a feat. As well as this, there was something at the edge of his memory...something that these zombies were reminding him off.

And then, the words hit him

It's close to midnight...
and something evils lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight...
you see a sight that almost stops your heart..

Was...Eta 5 singing??

apparently, he was...and he wasn't half bad at it.

((I originaly edited this into my original post, but I didn't see Katarina make a post so I'll make a ne wone

I...couldn't...help myself BD;

A hand tapped him on the shoulder and Delta Twelve froze. What was it? Calmly, slowly, he turned around and breathed a quiet sigh when he realized that it was Eta Two. “Eta Two, so glad that you join us,” he greeted and laughed at Two. “Owe me? What for?” He turned to stare out at the fields and the beach. “I’m mainly glad that I have some company. It’s really dull to be by yourself.” Twelve continued to stand on the roof rather than to go back inside to talk with the shadow. He doubted he would be able to coax anything else out of the stranger. All that he could do was—

He gagged as a repugnant stench filled his nose. Gloved hands covered his mask, but he could still smell decay. “W-What the hell?” Twelve hissed. There was a faint moaning and murmuring in the distance and he peered at the shadows ambling their way towards the building. Gaping, Twelve tugged at Eta Two’s sleeve. “E-Eta Two, are those zombies…?” Incredulously, he continued to stare at them, appalled at the idea of a zombie invasion. Zombie invasions never ended well. He turned around and looked at the fallen seeds. Their only defense was a bunch of seeds. Yeah, he felt very confident right about now.

Zeta Nine wrinkled her nose. What on earth was that smell? The whole room was beginning to smell strongly of, well... death. Then she heard it. The unmistakable moans of a zombie. People around her were beginning to panic; they must have noticed it too. Zombies. Seriously? Should she really be suprised after all the things they had faced on this island, what with the mysterious reapers and talking fiery ponies of death. She guessed it was just... unexpected. Nine tried her best to fight down the bile that rose in her throat. Throwing up and gas masks did not mix.

But one question pressed her. How the hell were they supposed to fight zombies with seeds and what pathetic skills they had with their weapons? God, they must be done for. End of the line. Unless that shadowy dude had another idea of course.

Eta VI was trying not to gag on the horrid smell filtering through her mask and trying not to panic at the realization that they were now fighting off zombies when she heard singing behind her. She spun around, a wide grin spreading across her unseen face. "Eta Five!" She hadn't realized he was there. She moved over to join him, relieved to see another familiar face--er, gas mask. With her and Eta X, that made three. Were there others from their squad here as well?
And was that him singing?
... He wasn't bad.

From your vantage point, any that cared to watch where the boxy-seeds fell would be pleased to note that those who were currently in the fort had one heck of a good arm: a majority of the seeds fell towards the middle of the field, whereupon they took root and grew. Some seeds sprouted green immediately, creating a huge shrubberies in the shapes of various animals. Others twisted into a menacing torny plant that twisted this way and that, as if seeking prey. The third type of box-seed turned into a giant... wall? Well, it was something. The last seed didn't do anything. Lame.

Across the field, you can see the zombies start to approach. You have two choices: stay here, or go out to meet them.

Moving on the Field:
Before you may enter the field, you must pick a route: A, B, C, D, or E. As a defender, you MAY change routes mid-field as long as it's next to you. That is, if you pick Route B you may only switch over to route A or C. D and E are too far away. This can be done ONCE every 12 hours. Otherwise, you may only attack those in the same route as you.

Ie, I am in Route D and there's a zombie in Route E. I had just switched to Route D from C. Even though the zombie is technically next to me, I cannot attack it.

Because of this, when you enter a route thread please post which route you're in at the top of your post in bold. Example: Omega 17 is on Route E.

To move further up the field, you need to enter and exit by means of ROUTES. The Routes will open up every GM turn.

You may now move to Zone 1 if you wish. Zone 5 connects with the Zombie's Starting area; maybe you'll find something there? Though there ARE a lot of zombies there...

As soon as he had started signing, he abruptly ended, seeing as the zombies had all stopped dancing and were now shambling towards their base. It was very disheartening

A voice behind him caught his attention, and he looked around to see yet another one of his eta members. "Eta Four! I'm glad to see you're alright!" As for the singing he..didn't say anything about it. Now he had to figure out exactly what he was going to do about the current invasion force. Staying here felt like a good option, but he knew those zombies would eventually get here, and with only one exit point they could very well become trapped. And he doubted the shadowy figure here wasn't going to assist them any further.

"Okay..." he said to everyone else. "I- I think we should get out of this place..It wouldn't be wise to stay here, as the zombies could still get in...perhaps if we stuck together, and fight the smallest amount of zombies possible...we could survive..." Eta V was not good at addressing large groups of people, and he wondered if his idea was any good. But they had to do something...

Alright, the zombies sang. That was a new one.

Theta-two had listened half heartedly to the conversation all around her, feeling for once like she had nothing to say. They were in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, and god only knew what that meant, other than the idea that they were going to be eaten alive while the things hummed to Michael Jackson. Thats a terrible choice of song, She thought caustically, but the boxy seeds that they'd chucked quickly enough dragged her attention away. Were those things sprouting? Well, Theta-two thought to herself, falling quickly from the thought that this was just any other zombie invasion, I'll be damned if anything on this island surprises me anymore. Twisting, she turned to the girl who began speaking, her eyes lifting behind her mask at the idea that she was tossing out. The theta wondered briefly just how many zombie apocalypse movies any of these people had seen in their lives - the ones that they didn't remember - and if anyone remembered just what happened to most of the supporting characters in the end.

Moving over with an odd rhythm in her step - something she blamed on the distant humming of Thriller, - Theta-two cautiously moved towards the group, edging closer to one of the Eta's who'd chosen to speak.
"Sounds reasonable to me, but they'll just keep coming. Small amount isn't really gonna happen, I dont think, chica." She announced with a slight lilt of airiness to her voice. Right, zombies terrified her, and yet she still couldn't put the terror into her tone. Something was most definitely wrong with her; in this life, or the past one that she'd long since forgotten about. The Theta turned her head towards the field the zombies had begun to inch across, their forms still blurred and a little ways off. "But I'll watch all your backs if you want me to, yeah?" She turned, wishing briefly that they could see her smile. "But you gotta admit, those zombies have got some rhythm and style; lets hope we've got our own as well." A laugh curled off her lips, a slight nervousness biting into the tone. But she couldn't have that now, could she?

With a loose smile, Theta-two glanced towards the playing field.
"Off we go then." She murmured, a slight, faraway hum prowling against the words.

Just how would this end?

For the sake of his own sanity he kind of ignored any sounds coming from the zombies or any sort of seemingly unified movements they were apparently making. Theta Seven was glad that Deli had calmed down and now seemed to be calming someone else down from the fine lather they had built themselves up into. He glanced over at Deva and then he watched as plants and things sprung up with a bit of ... surprise. That's the best thing he could think of the emotion to be. Surprise and a bit of relief, all those plants should slow the shambling undead down by at least a little.

Perhaps there was hope for them?

Maybe.

He turned quietly and started to go for the outside, "Yeah sticking around inside isn't going to help us and I don't know if hunkering down and planning is going to help either...It might be good to try and stick in groups though." Theta Seven said thoughtfully as he stood near the way out, "So let's form some groups and pick a route..."

Hopefully everyone would fall in line shortly after this, the quicker they get rid of the threat the better.

The seeds were...sprouting? Well, of course thats what seeds did but these were kinda different, what with their twisting and turning and strange shapes. How unexpected, yet it really wasnt that suprising considering that nothing seemed to be normal here.

Zeta Nine looked at the zombies again. She didnt particularly feel like fighting the undead, but if she stayed here there was a strong chance that she could become cornered and trapped in this building. Z9 sighed. Another day on the island, another potentially life or death decision to make.

The others were considering fighting the zombies, using the same logic as her if-we-stay-here-we'll-die theory. Frowning behind her mask, she wondered if they even had a fighting chance at killing zombies. Who knew how many of them there were. And why on earth wasnt the shadowy guy saying more than "they're coming"? He must have known about it if he wanted us to throw those seed things, so why wasnt he explaining anything? A little help would be nice.

Beta twelve had no time to throw things of the side of the building. She was highly aware of answering to these cloaked beings, friendly or not and it usually meant something bad was going to happen and boy was she right. But that didn’t mean she hadn't gone up to the vantage point with the rest of them.

It didn’t take long for the groans to reach her ears, the shuffling of feet and the mass of broken bodies to be seen on the horizon. Zombies. It had to be zombies. Her dry throat seemed to constrict even more, fingers trembling she look over the edge of the ramparts at the increasing wave of hungry corpses. This wasn't what she had signed up. This was meant to be a mission of expertise and skill, not a suicide one. And zombies? Myth and legend that’s all they were. But there was no dying it. She could smell them now.

Listening to Eta V she nodded in agreement. "I think i've seen enough of this place to last me a life time." as the others who surrounded her let in their two cents she couldn’t help but feel a little relieved. She wasn't alone. They could do this if they fought together as a team. They just had to remember who the enemy was and for now it wasn’t each other.

"Lets get a move on, I don't want to be here when they come knocking!"

Watching the seeds grow, Eight was actually surprised. Never had he expected those crazy seeds to grow so fast, especially since they just threw them all of five minutes ago. However, the bigger shock was that Alpha Eight still could be surprised by anything that happened on the island. Since they had arrived, they had been running from one impossible situation to the next. Not that the growth of the plants put an end to their real problem. The groans and cries of the zombies still continued on and those that managed to survive to this point were still sitting ducks. As Eight was contemplating his next move and whether he should keep chucking seeds or not, he happened to overhear the nearby conversation. Yes, yes, and yes. When Eight overheard their conversation, he almost felt like yelling out. Eta V, Theta Seven, and Beta Twelve were saying exactly what he wanted to hear. A group was exactly what he needed. Casually making his way over, he tried to take join anyone who would have him. He reminded himself to play it cool and offer any help he could in order to gain their favor. He didn't want a repeat of last time.

"I agree, we don't need to hang around here like sitting ducks! Working together to fight the zombies is our only option now."

Eight was actually being honest here. He didn't see a bright future for those that choose to stay in the ruined building since they would not only be fighting the zombies, but also the internal threat of the shadowy figure. Eight hated the idea of putting himself in more danger, but he would have to take the better of the two horrible choices. One threat trumps two threats in his book.

Seeds grew. Twelve knew that, but he didn’t know seeds could grow as fast as these seeds did. Bug-eyed, he watched the fallen seeds morph into animal-shaped shrubberies, thorny traps, and solid walls. If the horrid stench didn’t remind him about the zombie invasion, Twelve would have spazzed about the magical plants right about now.

“Leave?” He turned towards the others. “I’ll admit that if everyone stayed here and did nothing, things would end up disastrous, but maybe if some people stayed and kept throwing these seeds, I think it’ll do us some good.” Twelve nodded his head at the odd array of plants that had sprouted from the seeds people had thrown. “I can’t say it’ll be useful for sure, but it’s something worth trying, right?” His gaze wandered towards the stairs and he was instantly reminded of the shadowy figure hidden beneath the staircase. “Assuming the shadow person will still let us throw seeds,” he muttered as an afterthought.

Looking to Deli the Delta member tilted his head. "You can call me whatever you like. I hadn't given a thought to a name." At least no name outside of what was on his uniform.

"I'm in agreement with Theta Seven, I think grouping up and sticking together will be a good idea. Perhaps two groups? So were not spread too thin?" Delta Eight suggested, with something of a sheepish tone. He wasn't the best for planning, especially these sorts of things.

"Do we want to take the time and decide who is grouping with who? And a group should stay back here...maybe two people." One could be tossing and running down the stairs as one was grabbing more and running up the stairs.
